This is a repository for the NPCs you deal with who have an important role in your adventures. The information provided is mostly to summarise what you already know IC - you won't find tragic backstories or deep insights here unless the NPC has revealed them to you in the course of the game, but I hope nonetheless it'll be a handy reference and spark your imaginations when dealing with these characters. Actual statistics will be provided either when the NPC has been taken out of the equation, or is a dependable ally to your group.

The only fly in the ointment is her estranged brother Vanthus, who added to her financial strain by looting the family vault and absconding with a group of criminals. Wanting to believe there is still a decent man inside of her brother, Lavinia has spared no effort or expense in tracking him down, devoting considerable attention to this matter that might otherwise go towards her noble duties.

Trucy appears to have no other family, or at least there's no evidence of any in her lodgings nor has she made any reference to such. From as much as she has shared, she grew up around the docks of Salerno, looked after mostly by a dock worker named Mera, and harboured some aspirations towards becoming a sailor. Indeed she seems quite at home aboard a ship, but has put aside such goals since becoming employed by Henrietta, and despite her snippish tongue seems quite willing and eager to do any jobs asked of her.

The Cobra Fangs

Once a tight-knit group who kept the Western edge of Shadowshore somewhat safe and clean in the place of any legitimate order, the Cobra Fangs are a much diminished gang. Dragged into the fight against the Lotus Dragons, two of their number died in the fighting, while a third sought out a brighter future away from Shadowshore. The leader of the gang, a cynical but fiercely loyal thug named Hermann who was once thought of as something of a big brother to the others still harbours dreams of their reascendance, but without fresh blood it will be all they can do just to hold on to what they have.

But as long as the innocent but warped summoner Maya and her terrifying eidolon that gave the gang its name remains with him, there are still few in Shadowshore who would dare confront the gang openly. She herself is devoted to Hermann, and isn't likely to leave his side any time soon. The last original member of the group is a dim-witted and overweight reject who previously only existed on the fringes as a target of mockery, but now by necessity and loyalty has been drawn closer into the group, a change which Dawley welcomes wholeheartedly.

The Jade Ravens

The Jade Ravens are a group of mercenaries that have long been employed by the Vanderboren family. The group constantly changes as new members join and old members move on to greater things or suffer the perils of all adventurers. Their current leader is Tobin, a handsome warrior with an eye for the ladies - and lucky for him the group includes two exotic ladies in the forms of Zani, an elf who left mysterious troubling circumstances in her homeland to explore Pranneria, and Liamae a vivacious and outgoing sorceress. The dwarven druid Karkus provides a more sensible and grounding influence in the team, but often defers to the others unless things get truly out of hand, accompanied by his loyal badger friend Brunthus.
