How much preserved rations will 1,000gp buy, to get a sense of things?

Also, I think I'll go for the maybe-int books now.

5 sp for one person per day. This is basic trail rations. Note that there is a limit to how much you can buy, as there's only so much for sale. You can buy up to 426 gold worth of rations.

Make an Int check on the books.

[19:39] <@Annerose> roll 1d20+3 int
[19:39] <Rei-chan> Annerose rolled : 1d20+3 int --> [ 1d20=5 ]{8}

What the hell, let's buy those rations. By a rough calculation, it'd double our 5 months allotment and allow us to share a lot more with the people we meet.
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

Purchases are without incident.

Annerose studies the books but gets nothing out of them except a headache.

Hey, listen!

I have some questions on the previous page that have not been answered yet.

Am I safe to get a humanoid (human) bane enchantment? Ideally it'd be "Evil humanoid bane" but that doesn't exist so whatever!

In addition to this, does my Holy Strike class feature count if I wanted to buy Holy Surge for my weapons?
In addition to THAT, would it be reasonable to change the terms of use on Holy Surge to be Wisdom-based for someone with Serenity? It lists it as Charisma-based.

Oh, can we get the coins and everything from the ruins ID'ed at Adamantine?

Anastasia

1. Yes, it's safe. Unless you hit yourself or something, then it would apply.
2. No, as it's a special quality and not a weapon property.
3. What book is Holy Surge in?

Quote the goodies you want identified.

Nephrite

In the case of #2, if I also augment my fists to be Holy, does it stack? So in effect I'd do 3d6 damage to evildoers? (1d6 from what I have and then 2d6 from the Holy enchantment?)

Holy Surge is in MIC, page 36.

Lost city treasure

1 bag of crusty coins
A glass decanter

Anastasia

1. Yes, 3d6 total.
2. Yes, but you'd need to find someone to make the varaint.
3. Coins are worth 93 gold and the decanter's worth 104 gold.

In the case of enchanting my weapons myself via Kensai, would that possibly involve finding another good-aligned monk or something along those lines?

Maybe a personal quest????

T would like to remind people that there's feet of snow out there and more in the drifts. Shovels would help your speed greatly!

Assuming such things can be requisitioned at Adamantine Inari spends 50gp on a masterwork shovel.

Anastasia

T'll suggest just using the money they're given to buy a bunch of masterwork shovels for everyone. Annerose and Helena don't need them, but that means you have a few extra in case of breakage.
