They're incredibly hard to hurt - scales you can cut through, but something about them needs a stronger blade, a harder one. Nonetheless you hit again and again, sucking away life energy. It's enough with the last slash, the green one cut open all over. Tendrils of life energy escape from it along with blood, but it stays up despite cuts all over pouring out blood - at least for now.

Amaryl is a blur - she sprints in and towards the north, away from it all. At the same time a half dozen strong volley of arrows flies, peppering the green dragon all over. With scales torn open and bloodied already, the arrows find easy purchase and cause blasts of flame to erupt from its wounds, cooking the wyrm from the inside out. It howls in pain, thrashing before slumping over, little convulsions as it tries to fight on in vain. But a pair of arrows, each through an eye, put an end to that.
