He continues on, unsure of what exactly they're going to find.

You fly on, closer and closer. You catch a flash of red and a flash of green, both reflecting off thousands of crystalline ice drops. Ahead lies a rambling, large building several stories tall at points, glimpsed for a moment. Also glimpsed are various pockets of battle - demons and evils, gelugons and vrock, barlos and Necrolyte cornugons doing battle. Glimpses of it all, mere glimpses of the dead against the dead, raging storm again relentless death.

Does it look like there's any way past the battle or are we likely going to have to wade into it to get to the building?

[Anastasia]

From the glimpse you saw? You can't tell, you'd need a better look.

"Our enemies here aren't the devils!" Moore shouts. "Forward, and try to avoid combat! Our goal is the building! Whatever is causing this is probably there!"

[Anastasia]

"We can't afford to be bogged down," Kaja agrees, "Break through!"

Just charging flat out or...?

Yeah, just going forward. They'll try and go under or over any groups that are really in the way, but the goal is to avoid things as much as they can.

The party flies along, under a cluster of raging battle between a marilith and vrocks versus cornugons, while the dead and frozen spirits clash. Mere glimpses in the snowstorm - and as you approach, suddenly a blast of overwhelming, slicing and unnaturally frigid cold sweeps across the party.
