Meeting the wanderer

[Anastasia]

As your sister gasps, Father places a hand on your shoulder. "Us," he agrees, "Our home."

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa nods.

"Alihana might even raise her kids there."

She smirks at her sister.

[Anastasia]

Alihana reddens and then laughs, "One day," she retorts, smiling all the while.

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa smiles.

"I hope so."

[Anastasia]

After a few pleasant moments, Mother speaks up, "And what was the bad, Alyssa?"

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa closes her eyes and takes a deep breath.

"I think I have to leave."

[Anastasia]

A moment of silence as your mother's face turns dark, "But...you just brought us here! Why?"

Walt shakes his head slightly, "You have a good reason for that, Alyssa. Tell us."

[Iron Dragoon]

"For the reason that I gained the power I have. That power has brought me attention and... Conflict. I am being targeted by the Goddess Shar.  Her attacks will only escalate, and as much power as I have... I can't protect this plane. If I stay here... Everything will be destroyed."

[Anastasia]

"S-shar," Alihana gasps at that, a hand to her mouth as she stumbles, slumping into a chair with a loud clatter.

Mother's response is to pull you into a tight hug, a soft wail. "Oh, my baby!"

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa pats her mom's back.

"Yes. You get a sense of the scale, and why I may have to leave."

[Anastasia]

"Sharrans destroy everything in the stories," Alihana gasps, "Like the demons, or take them to the dark pits like the devils. Or conquer them like Bane or..."

As Mother hugs you tight, Father sighs, "If a goddess is attacking you, I can't quarrel with your choices. Not after all I've seen from you, Alyssa."

[Iron Dragoon]

"I have plenty of allies for this. I doubt she'll drag me down quite as easily as that. I've got offers of sanctuary from two God's, so my odds are better than they seem."

[Anastasia]

"They will be," Walt declares, "You come back to us then, alright?"

[Iron Dragoon]

"I will. I just wanted you to hear it from me first."

[Anastasia]

"You'll come back home," Father agrees, and from there...
