Yes. At first the lizards just trickled in - but then a bigger one came in. One the size of a warhorse, thick and stony scales crackling with magma beneath them. A decidedly different cast to its mouth, more...draconic. It goes to the door and goes through, stone melting as it passes. Yet when it's gone, the stone fills back in, repairing itself.

An K:A check you couldn't fail was bypassed.

"So we have a visitor." Moore says. "A... half... dragon... fire... lizard?" He stumbles to get out.

Did it go down the stairs?

Anastasia

It did.

"A half..." Kaja sighs at that.

"You do know the stories," Xandra says gently, voice soothing.

"I'm a half dragon, I obviously do," Kaja retorts, "Some dragons have no standards beyond satisfying themselves and no sense of decency." With a growing scowl on his face, "At least it wasn't an animated table this time."

"...I'd like to hear about the table." Moore says. "Not now, but..."

He gestures down the stairs. "It went this way. It seems to have the ability to repair stone, as it came through here and melted it on its way, but it fixed it after it left. So whatever it is, it's intelligent. Hopefully we can convince it to also just be friendly." He says.

He proceeds down the stairs!

Anastasia

"How?" Jetina asks slowly, "I mean...there's no..."

Meanwhile, as Jetina struggles with that, Kaja follows you with a terse nod.

Gimme a Perception check for reference here, in case shenanigans are afoot.

The stairs are short a landing, more stairs going downward from that. It continues through five of those, several stories passed. The lizards are everywhere, watching your every move. As you go down, you notice it's getting warmer.

"I guess our guest didn't appreciate the climate." Moore says.

Nothing to it except to continue downwards. If the lizards try anything, it's an easy enough thing to have Xandra pop them all with an Amazing Barrage.

Anastasia

It goes down at last, coming to an end. A closed door is here, unremarkable save for the lizards clinging to it.

Moore will move to open the door! No real sense in knocking, this isn't exactly this half-dragon-lizard-elemental's home, anyway.

Anastasia

The door doesn't open - not even a budge, and there's no sign of a lock on it at all.

Cresiel simply hefts his hammer, not a word said.

"It will stir the lizards," Jetina speaks up, "Won't it?"

Moore clears his throat and sings a soft song -- something in Draconic, in fact.

Moore is using Soothe the Beast (I know, who even uses that).

He's taking 10 on the Perform Check for... 102.

This should hopefully get the lizards to go from unfriendly or neutral to something slightly less than that so he can shoo them off the door.

Anastasia

Okay, that just applies to animals, right?

Yes, but it does also say: You can also use this ability to influence a magical beast with an Intelligence score of 1 or 2, but you take a -4 penalty on the check.

I forgot that, so the check is 98.

Anastasia

The lizards all turn to you. They are watching you intently now.

You feel a faint pressure against your mind, like an internal headache, but felt as a presence just outside of your mind.
