I'm not much of a fan of Fate fanfiction (Or of Fate in general), but this story is really good. It takes the premise of Kotomine finding young Shiro and adopting him instead of Kitsurugu, throws in a few more twists and a lot of good writing. Well worth reading.

Wait?  It was many levels of incomprehensible like 20 chapters ago.  How could it get 'more' incomprehensible?  Did it change languages?

There was a multi-chapter shared dream sequence and now it is completely unclear which things happened or did not happen or perhaps partially happened, especially considering that some things happened both in reality and in the dream.

Basically, it collapsed under the weight of its NGE-character-shaped-entities.

I think it collapsed when it started playing with reality and duplicates and things like that.  Before it was an interesting story, but as soon as it started bringing in that, it became a morass of 'what happened and what didn't happen'.

It's really a good lesson to anyone thinking of playing with alternate realities: if the audience can't tell why something is important to the original world/universe/characters: Then you've gotten lost, and they will to.

Just finished Bio Meat. The world is undergoing a food crisis and so a Japanese company engineers a creature that eats almost anything (so they can use it to dispose of waste) and reproduces extremely fast (to meet the demands for the world's food supply). And then an earthquake hit and some got loose. . .

I usually detest survival horror manga on account of how crappy so many of them look and how gorn!=horror, so imagine my surprise when I found I really enjoyed this. I imagine it is because it is so shounen jump. There's humor and excitement, then pacing is good, and they make excellent use of time skips. It is also good with the nakama.

I recommend reading it.

There was a new chapter of Delande Est recently.  Actually quite good, some fun cloak and daggers stuff, and the annoying new OCs all got stunned and got everybody in trouble.  Harry got to do awesome stuff again instead of being an invalid.

Breath of Fire 2 novelization also had a new chapter.  The girls declared there would be no lesbian antics.  Disappointing.

Another good Fate fanfic. This one has the premise that after rescuing Shiro, Kitsurugu starts having dreams of the next Grail war. Learning from them, he has Shiro trained in his specialization and ensures he has the proper bonds to excel in the coming war.  Of course, this causes plenty of ripples. As of chapter 14,

[spoiler]Not only has it not reached the war yet, but it's a year early and Shiro and company are trying to deal with a Dead Apostle who is after Shiro and his Reality Marble. Having to possibly work with Zouken and Kotomine against the Dead Apostle is quite amusing.[/quote]
