Fate/Ingens Cor

A Fate/Stay Night crossover with Harry Potter. And shockingly enough it doesn't suck. Though I think I know who all the servants are.

That being said, it does have a lot of technical issues, repetition of words (and sometimes entire phrases) being one of the most annoying. It could use some proofing.

Final Fantasy 8: The Altimate Rewrite is part Let's Play, part homage, part apologetics for Final Fantasy 8.

Really, it's the guy playing through Final Fantasy 8, but connecting all the vague disjointed plot points and presenting a far more coherent, and enjoyable story than FF8 does by itself.  Contains maybe an excessive amount of comedic swearing at times, but it takes the rough spots of the game and makes it shine.

It's rather long, so be warned.

Fun chapter overall. This one was lighter on the fanon and I enjoyed it.

Eh.  Ehhhhhhhhhhhh.

Losing interest in that fic rather quickly to be honest.  The Ranma/Usagi meeting scene cased the tone for most of the fic - silly humor that ends up being a bit overdone, but really doesn't accomplish much in terms of progress.

It's almost character-driven, but there really isn't much characterization done.  It's almost comedy, but the comedy is hamhanded.  It's definitely not serious and not focused on martial arts, yet there are scenes detailing Nodoka's art rather specifically for... what looks like shoehorning in yet another series.

Bleh.

I'm guessing the author's playing the long game with the setup. If nothing else, the spiritual aspects of Nodoka's school sounds like something that would tie into dealing with SM stuff.

I feel as if the first half of this chapter should have been appended on to the last chapter.  While that wouldn't change the "Where the fuck did this plot twist come from?" nature of the scene, at least it would have confined it to one chapter instead of spreading it into two.

A mostly Ranma fic with travel back in time, which I don't recall being posted before.  Either way, it updated earlier this month.  Skuld's subjective involvement is, so far, merely deus ex machina (yes, I did that on purpose) but the writer has been adding characterization so I expect that to change.

Oh yeah, I've read that fic. It's not terrible, but the problem that - GASP - it's glazing over too much. Older Ranma's the main character, but remains generally static. It bugs me.
