I always go for zero.  About 60% of my income was as a contractor, and thus, untaxed.

That probably throws things off by a good bit. :\

I appreciate the fact that I've been getting job interviews. Market seems to be good for process engineers right now, after a very depressing spell from before I went back to school for my masters' where all I got was two interviews, one which gave a polite 'no thanks' and the other never even bothered.

Now though, I've had the situation where as I leave an interview, I'll be contacted on the phone by another company to set up an interview with them. I've had that happen twice actually, with the second time occuring just now. It's both hilarious and heartening.

Still need for one of these companies to actually extend a job offer to me, but just having a lot of interviews around the same time is making me happy.

I got a job offer! Salary's pretty good too, it's a bit less than what I used to make before I went back to school, but still the right amount for the position I'm getting hired on in the current economy.
