We got a ton of rain dumped on us the day after we arrived from the typhoon while we were exploring Akihabara. Spent a few days in Tokyo, now we're in Kyoto. Going back on the first. Mostly we're just exploring and doing touristy things. Might post the whole travelogue of my adventures later.

Sister bought some pumpkins, we did some carving. I think the last time was like 6 or more years ago when I did a Mario pumpkin?

T'was fun to do pumpkins again after so long.

I googled a [ur=https://i.pinimg.com/originals/a7/d0/03/a7d003ab30e03c3a9cfff6dd557cddc4.jpg]boo stencil[/url], grabbed a sharpie and did my best to eyeballed the black parts onto the pumpkin, and then cut that out.

You can see the sharpie corners a bit in the light.

My sister went extra fancy on me and got some smaller carving tools too, so instead of just using a kitchen knife like I've done in past, I played with those tools to do some stuff I'd seen in other pumpkin photos before where you only carve out part of the pumpkin out, leaving just enough so the light has to go through the thin layer of pumpkin, at least for the teeth and tongue. I was pretty happy with how that turned out.
