In a month or two I'm predicting that I'll be ready for a short break from Balmuria, assuming the game's going on and you haven't wiped out. This would probably be a week and maybe some change, just a chance for me to get away from it all for a bit in two ways. In one way, it's simply the chance to let my creative batteries recharge slightly. In the other...

I'm kinda tempted to want to run something completely unrelated and one shot game. Probably running 3-5 sessions, or basically a week. Are any of you interested in the following:

Gestalt Characters, mid level. I'd like to see how far you can go nuts with the ultimate way of twinking a character. Then I'd love to see what crazy stuff I can throw at you to compensate. <_<

Short anime style adventure(Some form of BESM or d20 or whatever.). Suggestions welcome.

Bizzare omake style side game for Balmuria. Probably something -completely- different, oh yes.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

I haven't seen much interest in the third option so that one's hereby axed. It's a tossup between gestalt and anime game with gestalt having a slight edge. Preferences, people?

I'm starting to lean towards an anime game since having a pre-established frame of reference makes things so much easier. This is something I'm finding out with Balmuria(But that's here nor there). Of course, if we go anime we need to choose one, so suggestions there are good. I innately prefer something I've seen over something I haven't purely for the time investment required.

For gestalt, it's more a matter of figuring out what's inbounds and out. I'm thinking core only for spells since that's an unneeded and generally the most headachy/breaking complication to the mess. On top of gestalts I do -not- want to deal with a few lengthy splatbooks adding in a few hundred new spells. I'm just not going to do it. I plan to be more open with Prcs and feats since those are a large part of the gestalt fun. As for magical items I haven't really decided yet and it's not that relatively important compared to the others.

As a side note to gestalt, I'm likely to run it in the default generic D/D setting since it's just a one shot. That means Pelor, Moradin, Vecna, ect ect ect. Make sure you at least know the names of those pesky gods. <_<
