Post Tutorial + Start Date

Okay, Thanks for Jon and Edward making the tutorial.  I am thoroughly giving up on virtual tabletops to my annoyance and we'll be utilizing Sally's abstraction for fourth ed movement.  I've already seen this cause trouble, so I'm expecting roughness, but I frankly don't see another solution.  Magical solution fairies please step forward.

Current status as I see it playerwise:
Iddy has a deployment in germany (next couple of weeks?)
I have gathering this coming weekend
So does merc.


Obviously, I cannot both run the game and hang out at the gathering, so this will be postponed.  I am hoping to have the introductory session the weekend of August 2nd.  This will not be a tutorial, this will involve stabbing death, flying on ships, kicking the empire in the nose, and generally atmosphere setting 'get to know yourselves and your setting' stuff.  :)  I'm hoping for 4-5 hour sessions, depending on what folks can do.

I require 2 things for this session:
People to show up.  I've gotten 'yes, this will happen'.  If it won't, let me know ahead of time please.
People to have SOME desc of their character.  I went through the tutorial with two undescript rapscalions.  I would prefer not to start the game like that, because if I do, I will totally force 'describe yourself' sections into the introduction.  Note, I'm not really even asking for backstory, but I require at least "What the heck are my NPCs and your PCs looking at". :P

Okay...between last minute cancelations and me misjudging how long Iddy would be out...we are delaying another week.

Also, there may suddenly be a slot open since I would like four players and we went from 5 -> 3 this week, from time zone and overtime respectively.

I am still missing Iddy and no one has volunteered. :|  I...didn't really conceive this as a two player experience.

Delay another week? I can try to ask for interested players in other forums, I guess. Not sure how people would bite for an online gridless 4e game though.

Iddy got swamped in Germany as I hear it.  Hm.  Talk to you tonight on stuff :)

We are starting on the 23rd at 6 pm PST in #Soulriders.

Our players are Iddy, Trunky, Merc, and Edward.  If possible, I will use a grid. :)
