Like I said, I just want to redo Alicia's skills.

First of all her human paragon class skills would be changed to Bluff, Diplomacy, Gather Information, Intimidate, Listen, Sense Motive, Speak Language, Spot, Swim, and Tumble, with her Adaptive Learning class skill being changed to Diplomacy.

Then her skills would be redone as follows:

As we discussed, dispensing with the various bonuses for a flat +1 fort, +1 ref, +2 will.

+2 racial bonus on saving throws against enchantment spells or effects.
+2 resistance bonus to will saves involving emotions - fear, confusion, despair, hatred, ect ect.
+2 sacred bonus to all saves vs evil outsiders
+4 bonus vs fear
+2 bonus vs poison

Rebuilt Donald to serve as an example.

Interestingly, I feel it's largely a lateral move. While he's a better mage now, he suffers from a loss of feats and d10 HD. He's still really good for a level 8 character, as his benefactors have ensured that he's equipped superbly well. Switching to the Hammer of the Shard over Guardianil is less favorable to him now, due to that he really needs the bonuses it can grant. The debuf/buff game he has now, while not overwhelming, compliments his melee style very well.

EDIT - Up to level 9; he's about due for a level anyhow.

Duskblade powers:

Arcane Attunement: Can use dancing lights, detect magic, flare, ghost sound and read magic 6 times per total for free. DM battery.
Armored Mage: Light armor, medium armor and heavy shields induce no arcane spell failure.
Arcane Channeling: Cast any touch spell as a standard action and make a melee attack to deliver it. Alicia-lite.
Quick Cast: Turn 1 spell a day into a swift action. Basically a free quicken spell.
Spell Power: +2 to CL checks to overcome SR if you've wounded the creature with your weapon this encounter.

Heavy Steel Shield+1: Shield. AC. Yeah.
Guardianil: Bastard Sword+2. This weapon grants a +2 perfection bonus to AC to the holder and all allies within a 10 ft radius. The wielder many invoke the Shining Defense ability three times per day.

Shining Defense:

When using the fighting defensively option, the user gains DR 5/- and 15 temporary HP until his next turn. Further, he may designate anyone within twenty feet. If a target is designated, any damage dealt to this target is instead dealt to the wielder.

Levelled Donald up to 9 and Polly to 10. I normally do these when you guys level up, but I was under the hood anyway. Further, they were starting to really fall behind so they needed it.

The Donald rebuild is official, I used it in the flaming ship battle and I was quite pleased with it. I plan to do Oberuth soon, he's past due and needs a lot of work. Go go go go being one of my first 3.5 creations.

E: Mental note: Nondetection aura needs a house rule improvement for the CL. Mother of fuck.

This isn't strictly a rebuild, but I'm tossing Balazar in here as a curiosity and as a discussion piece. He's a Sword Archon in the process of ascending into a Throne archon. This made an interesting design to translate into in theory, but the reality of it is that the clashing design between the two types made integration difficult. Ergo I kept the Throne Archon add ons to a dead minimum and built him as a 14 HD Sword Archon, which is equal to the minimum HD of a Throne Archon.

BoED archons are a clusterfuck for balance. They're very well endowed with powers and skills, but suffer from universally low con. This is bad, but Throne Archons are the worst.  They're massively over AC'ed for the level but in a way that's not easy to translate beyond slapping +4 full plate on. >_< Also, note that I traded Discorporating Dive for a bonus feat. This is standard operating procedure for me when dealing with death effects that form a not-small part of a creature's skillset. I did the same with David's assassin death attack.

Do note that I chose improved natural attack for Balazar's armblades. There's an argument that this isn't a legal feat choice, though I went ahead and did it for the sake of the design. I'm also aware that his feat choices aren't particularly optimal. I didn't want to spend more time buffing up the feats of what may not be a recurring NPC. If he starts showing up more, I can deal with that then.

Armblades: Arms can become swords and vice versa as a free action. Swords are +2 holy flaming adamantine longswords.

Aura of Menance: DC 20; Those who fail take a -2 penalty on attacks, AC, and saves for 24 hours or until they successfully hit the archon that generated the aura. A creature that has resisted or broken the effect cannot be affected again by the same archon's aura for 24 hours.
Teleport: Greater teleport at will, CL 14th. Targets only creature and it's gear/50 pounds of objects.
Penitary Gaze: See BoED; treat as gaze attack since it doesn't specify. DC 22

Notes:

This is a total makeover. Oberuth is one of my oldest NPCs as I was first learning 3.5, so I had to change a lot of shit around. I rebuilt him from the ground up and levelled him up.

Oberuth was due an item upgrade and the city's thriving, so I added and upgraded his gear. The Commander of Balmuria ability is a small booster to simulate what he has to go through, as are his assorted ranks in skills. I may houserule the CL of nondetection cloak a little later since it's not really designed to scale up at all. He's a competent fighter who's really good against casters. This synergizes well with his hatred of devils, since most of them have spell likes and trigger his upgraded damage.

I'm not sure what he's going to take past this. More fighter is redundant, ranger's not much for him and he's maxed out occult slayer. Kensai, maybe? Suggestions welcome.

Finally, I once again stab CC skills in the face.
