#720
Ranmaru peers into the shaft, "Hmm, it shouldn't be hard for someone to get up there if either miss Sacchin or I give them a boost. If someone can scale that slant, they could lower down a rope to make it easier for the rest of us, if we all want to go that way."

(EDIT: I missed something in Dune's post, so edited mine.)
All About Monks
<Marisa> They're OP as fuck
<Marisa> They definitely don't blow in 3.5
<Marisa> after a certain level they basically just attack repeatedly until it dies
<Marisa> they're immune to a bunch of high level effects
<Marisa> just by being monks

Ebiris

"Or we can go along the other path I opened, no climbing required there!" Flasheart declares, heading onto the catwalk of mystery.

VySaika

"Also an option, of course." Ranmaru follows along behind the Lord.

The catwalk waits ahead! The party heads down it fourty foot, no end in sight still.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Carthrat

Sacchin keeps following, bow at the ready.

If there was any doubt...
[19:14] <Annerose> Aww, mouth not outpacing brain after all?
[19:14] <Candide> My brain caught up

Anastasia

The party walks on 100 feet! 200! 300! Still no end in sight. Still the catwalk stretches on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on! 400 feet! There seems to be no progress at all.

Sacchin looks back the way the group came.
[19:14] <Annerose> Aww, mouth not outpacing brain after all?
[19:14] <Candide> My brain caught up

Anastasia

You can see the door back, perhaps sixty feet away.

"Door still there," she notes, alerting the rest of the group to this development. "Following us."

"Strange..." Flasheart digs into his backpack for a moment before triumphantly producing a stick of chalk. "Lets see what happens with this, then," he declares, starting to draw a dotted line on the ground as he resumes his advance.

VySaika

Ranmaru eyes the door and thinks a moment, "Hmm, Lord, while you walk ahead, I shall face this door to see if it really is moving after us, or perhaps catch a glimpse of whatever maner of sorcery being used here."

That said, Ranmaru keeps his eyes glued to the door while Flasheart does his chalk thing.

Corwin

Euphemia is content to stick next to Sacchin, for her part.
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

Lord Flasheart draws with chalk on the ground and advances forward and then walks forward! It's strange. He advances away to the eyes of Sacchin and Euphy, and Ranmaru can see that the door stays where it is. Yet to moving Flasheart, the chalk is left behind, even if the door is still sixty feet away.

So basically we're not getting anywhere.

"Stupid place. Go back now," mutters Sacchin, heading to the climbable shaft from before.

"You forgot one other option!" Flasheart chastises Sacchin. "A friend of mine once said that once you eliminate... something... then something else, no matter how suicidal or foolhardy, is the only solution!" Rolling up his sleeves he turns to the edge of the catwalk and rubs his foot on the ground like a bull preparing to charge.

Before anyone can stop him (if indeed they cared to), he hurls himself bodily into the void!
