Sacchin shrugs. "Do best for good grades," she notes, grabbing Euphemia by the waist and holding her above the water.

I actually have no idea if trying to ensure a spell is cast like this is remotely sensible.

Neither do I! But if a couple people aid me I could probably do it? Or fail amusingly, either way. For the record, I'd like to use the cure scroll we found on Sacchin. And if that works, to cast Light on something so I don't get eaten by a grue.

[Anastasia]

I'm going to fiat call this a DC 20 concentration check. This is really hard and you're struggling to stay above water even with help. The scroll will be lost if you fail the concentration check. You have no ranks in Concentration, so your modifier for it is +1. Your call if you want to try it, Cor.

"Hmm, I am still in good condition. If miss Sachin is going to go and fight the statues, I will go as well. This area seems to be safe enough to leave the two of you for a short time."

He pauses, then looks to Lord Flasheart, "But if I am to fight thngs under the water, I would need my lance returned. I do not think wrestling with swimming statues would work as well as tackling the knight did."

[Corwin]

"Alas, it's too wet to use the scroll here. Maybe we'll get another chance."

Okay, not going to do it. Let's still swim underwater towards the statues.

"Here you go!" Flasheart jovially hands over the lance before he swims down to retrieve the trident from the samurai's corpse so that he still has an appropriate aquatic weapon.

[Carthrat]

"You are too slow. By time you get to statues we all drown," snorts Sacchin. "Think it better to go other way if body can't be.. be.. hurt less."

Seriously going to the statues seems more and more like a plan of fail to me, since Euphie will need Flash to basically hold her hand the whole way, Gate can't even get there and have enough air to fight with, and a light tap will kill me in combat right now.

[Anastasia]

Flasheart swims down and retreives the trident. It's very stabby!

What you guys do is up to the four of you. Do be aware that if you spend too long vacillating and bickering that the Dark One feels obligated to...motivate you. <_<

[Corwin]

"I still think it's best if we go together," Euphemia tells Sacchin.

I don't want to hear that after the Dark One took days off for holidays and disrupted our teamwork.  >_>  Anyway, if Flash or Sacchin can help me get to someplace with air and ground to stand on, they could take on the statues while I support them. It's also possible to cast the CMW on Sacchin once we're there.

Seriously though, I'm saying that it's not benefiting anyone if you spend foreverf here debating the merits of each path.

"Well, it's not as if we really have to fear dying here," Flasheart declares heartily, "So I vote we take the unknown above certain death, as outlined by this lovely lass," he indicates Sacchin before bravely leading the group towards the dark and mysterious currents.

Euphemia doesn't have a particular objection to this plan, really.

Right, moving you guys along a bit then.

The party swims towards the current. After going 200 feet of splashing and dwarvvie paddling, they begin to notice a current. It pulls them forward. A faint din can be heard from far away, perhaps the endless crashing of water.

[Corwin]

Euphemia still doesn't have an objection to their likely-fatal plan.

[Anastasia]

The party swims along another 100 feet! At this point the current picks up, the din getting louder! 200 feet ahead you can glimpse what looks to be a massive waterfall! Water gushes down below in a vast emptying! However, dead in the center, is a five foot wide steel platform! Resting on the platform is nothing but a single cross, like a grave marker. It is decorated in delicate gold and silver, entirely out of place.

The current is stronger here. If you go on, it's likely you'll run a risk of being swept along with it. It's not quite strong enough to do that from here.
