There are four total, his wife riding with him. Each wagon is covertop and drudged along by bulky, slow moving horses. "Alright!" Michum calls, "I want at least two people on point and one in the rear. The rest of you can spread out how you want."

Hardsoil is left behind...as the party goes, a beautiful woman with a shock of white hair and airy looks can be seen. Mari(?) waves, calling, "Granny says good luck!" she calls, before slipping back away into the alleys of Hardsoil.

What little light there is radiates about, the walls a gray crystal that catches the light, the radiance almost as cloying as darkness. Everything is cast gray, always gray.
