Oct 04 21:08:15 <Drac_DM>   OOC: Yes.  Because reading over it, it's static, so if you don't concentrate to maintain such a thing, they can still see and hear when folks move from the positions they're currently in (E.g. when they move through your illusion of everything being dark and make noise in your illusion of everything being silent.  Are you concentrating on maintaining it for the fight?

hmm...

so off the bat, Yuuki is way over attack/defense wise everyone else.  La justica has a few broken things on him (The blight move), but I have yet to really review his sheet.  I basically would be much more comfortable if as a group it was more clear that none of you had an attack that could one shot each other, or a defense that totally obliterated any retaliation.  Just in general, let's work to keep a somewhat coherently powered team where there's not more than 3 levels of difference in offense or defense if possible.

I allowed Illusion like that but frankly I don't like that read of it any.  I think illusion should generally not be used for complete oppression type stuff.  Being able to change the terrain up, provide illusionary combatants, and distractions are totally reasonable usages to me, but flat out going 'Illusion of not seeing/hearing/etc', basically like the Enma Kouragi bankai is a bit much.  It's reasonable by read of it, but frankly, like much else in the BESM book, the raw read of it is nonsensical.

I admit the shield was due to misreading something.  That's been fixed, at the very least.

Also removed the one-shot linked attack bullshit.  Thought it was a cool idea stylewise but...ow.  Guess it was too strong.

I suspect linked and other similar abilities is stronger in the lack of energy points.  Since there's no cost to using a strong ability, why not use a strong ability every turn.

I suspect this game works a lot better with us all working toward a cool colloborative anime scene then power gaming (since the system is so broken toward that).

It is a little weird to see gameplay without energy point, yeah. And yeah,that's essentially what you have to do with BESM, try to collaborate so nobody outshines others, or houserule stuff, but that's something of a learn as you go along type deal thing.
