Since circlets of everything exist, can I convert my belt of magnificence to that? Basically, have it occupy the head slot instead of the belt slot, and then merge it with my helm (for x1.5 price on the cheaper of the enchantments between the two)?

When I asked about this sort of thing, with bracers->glove slot, Dune said if you want something on a slot that's not where it normally goes, you get hit with x1.5 for that enchant for changing slots (on top of x1.5 for multiple enchants if any).

I'd assume the same applies with belt->head slot.

Yes, except it actually does get used. Your circlet isn't unique, from memory of B1. Some items/types of items just have more than one suitable slot, like the SRD http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/wondrousItems.htm#beltofGiantStrength and http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/wondrousItems.htm#gauntletsofOgrePower . I'm just trying to confirm whether the same applies here.

It does. You have a +stat circlet from Vlaakith, after all. Now bear in mind the base price (before reductions) of a belt+6 is 200k. Ergo you can't add anything to it pre-epic, you need someone with epic item capacity.

I originally wanted to merge the tiara into the helm of righteous war, but 200k cap and all. Can anyone loan me 1,500gp so I'll be able to make the Helm into a slotless item (x2.5 price) and have both work together?
