Base price included the 2x modifier and then the discount.

Afina upgrades her blank linthrum sword to +5 (getting rid of wounding, it's never been used and it's not much good for her) for 4,500gp (it was +4 value)

Tannin requests the use or purchase of something that provides a bit of non-detection. Mind blank might be better, but non-detection would be what he actually asked for. I just think that the DC for that is awfully low.
