It was fairly shameful how everyone kept rushing to use Wishes/Miracles/Reality Revisions to emulate multiple Sendings and there's no reason to!

As for the offensive option, how about:

Then Jaela decides she needs more metamagic in her life, and shops for Rods of Maximize. She's tempted to collect the set, but the lesser one doesn't interest her so she goes with:

Given what she's earned on the last trip it shouldn't be difficult for Hanna, and it's a short-term loan. If she can't, I'll sell my ring of deflection.

Sacred's the mini holy from MIC, right? That's subsumed by holy, just like holy is by holy power.

That's... a fair way to look at it, I suppose. It was originally from Libris Mortis before making its way to the MIC. It's made via Cure Light Wounds rather than Holy Smite, and the thematic focus is on undead first. That said, it does 1d6 damage to undead and 2d6 damage to evil outsiders on a hit and makes strikes good-aligned.

But there's also Sacred Burst right after it, which builds up on Sacred (it's one of the many Synergy enchantments in the MIC, ie what MIC calls enchantments that subsume others). I'm mentioning this because there is a separated Holy Surge that builds on Holy. The MIC, at least, treats Holy and Sacred as separate enchantments (that happen to overlap where it comes to stabbing evil outsiders).
