[14:11] <@Ebiris> Continuing along the Southwest hunting trail and leaving the defaced statue behind, the group plus their horses advance tirelessly for maybe another mile before another clearing widens before them. In the centre is another similarly proportioned statue to the last, but rather than being an antlered man it instead represents a snake with ram's horns curled around a pole. While worn with age, it doesn't seem deliberately slighted. From the clearing additional trails go to the North and the West.
[14:12] * @Lucie pauses to try and place the figure depicted here.
[14:12] <@Ebiris> OOC: roll religion if you please
[14:12] <@Lucie> roll 1d20+9
[14:12] * +Hatbot --> "Lucie rolls 1d20+9 and gets 19." [1d20=10]
[14:13] <@Henrietta> "Is, uh, anything buried here, Val?" Henrietta asks her dog, same as at the previous location. "Or anyone?"
[14:13] -> *Lucie* It's probably Cernunnos, an ancient fertility deity from the same pantheon as Herne the Hunter. Even more obscure in the modern age, really.
[14:14] <@Ebiris> Val barks happily and goes to start sniffing around the statue before cocking his leg and urinating over the base, looking proudly up at Henrietta.
[14:14] <@Henrietta> "That must mean the same result," Henrietta says, keeping as much uncertainty out of her voice as she can manage.
[14:15] <@Lucie> "Cernunnos," Lucie recalls. "Some old fertility deity." A shrug. "We want to move on west? Closer to the direction we'd been moving."
[14:15] <@Henrietta> "We can try," Henrietta agrees.
[14:15] <@Rudy> "He'll dig up bones without prompting, right?" asks Rudy.
[14:15] <@Henrietta> "Probably?"
[14:16] <@Ebiris> "He must be happy, getting to mark such a large territory," Liamae chuckles looking down at the dog. Taking advantage of the pause in marching, she goes to her horse's saddlebag and pulls out some hardtack, tearing a chunk off in her mouth and chewing.
[14:18] <@Rudy> "He'll be a bandit king yet!"
[14:20] <@Ebiris> After that brief interlude, the group leaves the clearing behind and starts marching single file down the long trail striking Westwards through the old growth forest, the sky growing darker and clouds heavier overhead when glimpsed through the canopy of spiny-leafed trees surrounding you. Without any giant spiders or poisonous fungi infestations, its altogether quite peaceful and relaxing, really...
[14:20] <@Ebiris> OOC: interested parties can roll perception
[14:20] <@Ebiris> roll 1d20+10 Val
[14:20] <@Rudy> roll 1d20+1 okay!
[14:20] * +Hatbot --> "Rudy rolls 1d20+1 okay! and gets 17." [1d20=16]
[14:20] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d20+10 Val and gets 22." [1d20=12]
[14:20] <@Henrietta> roll 1d20+2
[14:21] * +Hatbot --> "Henrietta rolls 1d20+2 and gets 12." [1d20=10]
[14:21] <@Lucie> roll 1d20+12
[14:21] * +Hatbot --> "Lucie rolls 1d20+12 and gets 14." [1d20=2]
[14:22] -> *Rudy* The hairs on the back of your neck stand up. It's nothing concrete - you can't see or hear anything untoward. But you feel like you're being watched.
[14:22] <@Rudy> "I've got a baaaaaaaaaad feeling about this," mumbles Rudy, glancing at the sky.
[14:23] <@Henrietta> "Because it's too peaceful and relaxing to be true?" Henrietta inquires, looking at Rudy herself.
[14:24] <@Ebiris> Another half hour of slow marching goes on, the clouds finally opening but with little more than a light drizzle that barely touches you through the tree-tops above. But as Rudy makes his pronouncement of Doom, Val  stops and starts growling at something off to the right of the path, unseen through the dense trees and bushy undergrowth.
[14:24] <@Lucie> "Whatever this is, I'm blaming you for it, Rudy," Lucie grumbles.
[14:25] <@Rudy> "It's like- you know, when you've just met someone, and they're bad news but you can't put your finger on why? It's like that," decides Rudy. "Like the one time I asked a married woman out. Everything was fine, but there was just something wrong, and then bam!"
[14:26] <@Lucie> "Bam, suddenly her husband's fist is in your face? And you couldn't see this coming?"
[14:26] <@Henrietta> "Please, do not feel obliged to share the details," Henrietta requests, peering to the right.
[14:26] <@Ebiris> "Well, better safe than sorry," Liamae remarks, looking the same way as Val and casting a spell that manifests a sheen of mirror-like force around her that dissipates a second later. "Anyone out there?" she calls.
[14:27] * @Lucie pauses to summon her own magical armor, just in case.
[14:27] <@Henrietta> Well, then! Since everyone is armoring themselves, Henrietta can only follow suit. It only takes a moment, anyway.
[14:27] <@Rudy> Earth elementals heed Rudy's call, appearing in great numbers!
[14:27] <@Rudy> roll 1d3
[14:27] * +Hatbot --> "Rudy rolls 1d3 and gets 2." [1d3=2]
[14:31] <@Ebiris> With the flurry of magical activity, there follows a rustling in the undergrowth before three figures emerge at the side of the path. They're... humanoid. Sort of. About the height of the average dwarf, but far slimmer, the trio wear archaic leather and hide armour, sheathed swords on their belts and bows at their back. But more noticable than their gear is the covering of downy white feathers all over their bodies, and the large orange bills below wildly staring wide eyes on their faces. Their arms possess a wider plumage, almost like wings but for the hands hidden amidst the feathers at their ends. "Good instincts, humans," the one in the middle comments, his voice squawky and distorted somewhat by the beak he has instead of a mouth. "What brings you so far from your cities?"
[14:33] <@Lucie> "Travelling," Lucie says. "Trying to cross a river back down the trail but some revenant stood in the way. I figured we should just knock him down and move on, but my companions here thought it'd be better to put the spirit to rest. It pointed us off this way."
[14:34] <@Henrietta> "Yes. We were following a-- a rumor, I suppose it would be, of this Stag Lord?" Henrietta voices, not ready to draw her flail as long as their swords stay sheathed.
[14:39] <@Ebiris> "Death on one side and death on the other," the beastman on the right squawks sollemnly, while their spokesbird's eyes widen.
[14:39] <@Ebiris> "He that claimed that mantle died years ago. And his curse struck down the village of his killers! You should flee back to your cities, humans. Flee where it is safe!"
[14:40] <@Henrietta> "I'll have you know it's not safe in the cities at all!" Henrietta says primly. Not when they have murderplays and all sorts of gangs, and who knows what else. "If you know of this bandit, might you know where he is buried as well, then?"
[14:40] * @Lucie rubs her forehead. "Got business across the river. Can't turn around. May as well point us towards this village if that's where we'll pick up the trail."
[14:41] <@Rudy> "It was safe enough before I got this job," mumbles Rudy. "Anyway, we can't stop now. This revenant wants some proof of the Stag Lord's death, so.."
[14:44] <@Ebiris> Drawing a circular sign over his chest, the beastman looks up to the heavens for a moment before speaking. "Follow this path to Boann's lake, and then take the Southern trail. The dead village of Sulis awaits. Mind though that those who betrayed the Stag in life serve him again in death."
[14:45] <@Henrietta> "So... there's someone to serve after all?" Henrietta grimaces. "I so do hate zombies...."
[14:45] * @Lucie sighs. "Fantastic, so we've got a whole village full of 'em to kill instead of just one. You guys sure you don't want to just turn back and beat down *one* zombie instead?"
[14:46] <@Henrietta> "Well we cannot just leave them here in the open!"
[14:46] * @Lucie shrugs. "I don't see why not. Not bothering us out here, are they?"
[14:46] <@Henrietta> "I'm certain someone is being bothered. It is our duty to stop them!"
[14:47] <@Rudy> "The bridge guy is way scary. I'm gonna take my chances with this bandit king guy," replies Rudy.
[14:47] <@Ebiris> "More likely you'd join them. But we'll pray for your success, humans," the beastman squawks with all due gravity.
[14:48] <@Lucie> "Yeah? Who appointed us scourge of the undead." She shakes her head. "I guess it doesn't matter, you're going after them no matter what I say." A nod for the beastmen. "Thanks for the directions, anyway."
[14:49] <@Ebiris> "Good luck. If you see my brother there, end his suffering for me," the previously silent beastman offers before he turns to retreat into the forest, his two companions nodding slowly and fading back themselves.
[14:53] <@Ebiris> After the departure of the ducks, the heroes bravely press onwards! An hour passes before finding a lake at the end of the trail, the statue of a woman missing both an arm and a leg and an eye placed upon the bank. Additional paths go to the Northeast and South, and after a quick pause for Val to mark his territory, South is taken! The beginning of the journey is much as the rest has been, but after perhaps two miles the forest grows noticably silent except for the noise you make yourselves. The horses certainly notice, starting to whinny nervously and hold up their pace unless prodded onwards.
[14:54] <@Lucie> "Must be close," Lucie concludes. "Animals must avoid this place. We got any sort of plan here? Sent one of Rudy's critters in to scout the place firts, maybe? Could be a bad idea for us to just blunder in if we're outnumbered."
[14:55] <@Henrietta> "And should we leave someone to look after the horses?" Henrietta asks, not relishing the idea of walking everywhere if they lose them.
[14:55] <@Rudy> "You think we should tie these guys up and go on by ourselves?" asks Rudy, patting the flanks of his mount.
[14:55] <@Lucie> "Sure," Lucie dismounts and ties her horse's reins to a sturdy branch.
[14:56] <@Ebiris> "They'll probably run off and hurt themselves if we don't," Liamae agrees with Rudy, patting her horse's head soothingly and tying it much as Lucie does. "But who stays behind?"
[14:56] <@Rudy> "And yeah, I can do that," he adds, dispatching an air elemental to check out the route ahead.
[14:56] <@Ebiris> The elemental flies off to do aerial scouting!
[14:59] <@Rudy> "Anyway, I can summon up Myra to help us out up ahead," muses Rudy. "So I'll go. And we three are pretty used to working together here, so..."
[15:00] <@Ebiris> "Hah. I get you. At least I can pick off anything that tries to circle behind you," Liamae accepts her position gracefully.
[15:01] <@Henrietta> And it seems safe! "Let's get going, then?" Henrietta suggests, casting Barkskin upon herself.
[15:02] <@Lucie> "Don't expect you'll be missing much, Liamae," Lucie says. "Killed one zombie and you can say you've seen them all."
[15:02] <@Ebiris> Shortly the elemental returns, its wispy form interspersed with strange and eerie shadows that are best not focused upon. "Airrrr!" it begins almost happily in a thin and reedy voice, almost like listening to a whistle at the edge of human hearing. "Light water all in the air! Not-air below. Very bumpy!"
[15:03] * @Lucie looks to Rudy. "You have any idea what this thing just said?"
[15:04] <@Rudy> "Yeah, he's saying it's about to rain," replies Rudy, waving his hand and causing the thing to implode in on itself.
[15:04] <@Ebiris> Actually it is raining, it hasn't really stopped since earlier.
[15:04] <@Lucie> "What, rain more?"
[15:04] <@Rudy> Clearly oblivious to the water pattering down on his head, Rudy ignores Lucie and steps away to summon up Myra before they proceed!
[15:05] <@Ebiris> Val growls unhappily at Myra's presence, pressing himself against Henrietta's leg.
[15:06] * @Henrietta rubs Val's head behind the ears, more than content to let Myra take the lead and build up a bit of distance between them.
[15:07] <@Rudy> Undaunted by rain or foliage, Myra oozes her way through the forest at the head of the line!
[15:11] <@Ebiris> It's just a couple of minutes before the group emerges into a dilapidated and overgrown village. The structures are simple huts and a few hide tents, the latter mostly collapsed entirely while the former mostly remain except for fallen roofs in most cases. At the far end of the small village through the central square is a large mound of earth with no trees growing atop it, though a few plants have staked their claim. Dark red vines both thin and thick snake all over the ground, running in and out of ruined structures and almost obscuring the corpses that only become evident on a second glance. Quite a few skeletons litter the ground, flesh entirely rotted away and bones bleached white, generally appearing quite deformed or somewhat off from the human norm.
[15:11] <@Ebiris> OOC: anyone wants to they can roll survival or knowledge (nature)
[15:11] <@Henrietta> roll 1d20+6 nature
[15:11] * +Hatbot --> "Henrietta rolls 1d20+6 nature and gets 18." [1d20=12]
[15:12] <@Lucie> roll 1d20+2 gogo basic survival
[15:12] * +Hatbot --> "Lucie rolls 1d20+2 gogo basic survival and gets 5." [1d20=3]
[15:12] <@Ebiris> OOC: Carry on
[15:13] <@Henrietta> "Do you think that large mound might be the burial site?" Henrietta suggests.
[15:13] <@Lucie> "Probably the mound's something important, yes," Lucie agrees. "Not keen on walking through the town to get to it. Circle around the edge of the town to the other side, maybe?"
[15:14] <@Rudy> "Yeah, probably. I guess a bandit lord doesn't get a real grave marking," replies Rudy. Myra begins to follow Lucie's suggestion, and ambles around the town's perimeter.
[15:16] * @Henrietta splits into several copies, her flail firmly held in her hands. "It is as good a plan as any," she agrees, following suit.
[15:16] <@Henrietta> roll 1d4+1
[15:16] * +Hatbot --> "Henrietta rolls 1d4+1 and gets 5." [1d4=4]
[15:20] <@Ebiris> Skirting around the nature-ravaged buildings and avoiding the clear path inbetween them, the group is pressed somewhat against the encroaching forest forcing them to move single file and at a fairly slow pace. A few skeletons are passed on this route nonetheless, though they seem quite immobile. Unfortunately the same can't be said for a better preserved specimen of undead that comes shambling out from between two huts just after Myra passes it! Despite being infested with voracious plant-life snaking through its rotting flesh and moulting feathers, the deceased avian beastman makes not a sound as it emerges inbetween Myra and Rudy!
[15:20] <@Ebiris> OOC: init
[15:20] <@Ebiris> roll 1d20 zombie
[15:20] <@Lucie> roll 1d20+6
[15:20] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d20 zombie and gets 13." [1d20=13]
[15:20] * +Hatbot --> "Lucie rolls 1d20+6 and gets 24." [1d20=18]
[15:20] <@Rudy> roll 1d20+5 r
[15:20] * +Hatbot --> "Rudy rolls 1d20+5 r and gets 12." [1d20=7]
[15:20] <@Ebiris> roll 1d20+4 Val
[15:20] <@Rudy> roll 1d20+6 m
[15:20] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d20+4 Val and gets 21." [1d20=17]
[15:20] * +Hatbot --> "Rudy rolls 1d20+6 m and gets 15." [1d20=9]
[15:20] <@Henrietta> roll 1d20+3
[15:20] * +Hatbot --> "Henrietta rolls 1d20+3 and gets 9." [1d20=6]
[15:21] * Ebiris changes topic to 'Lucie > Val > Myra > Zombie > Rudy > Henrietta'
[15:22] <@Lucie> Lucie strides forward to smash the beak right off the abomination's face!
[15:22] <@Lucie> roll 1d20+5
[15:22] * +Hatbot --> "Lucie rolls 1d20+5 and gets 25." [1d20=20]
[15:22] <@Lucie> roll 1d20+5 crit?
[15:22] * +Hatbot --> "Lucie rolls 1d20+5 crit? and gets 16." [1d20=11]
[15:22] <@Ebiris> OOC: crit
[15:22] <@Lucie> roll 2d8+4
[15:22] * +Hatbot --> "Lucie rolls 2d8+4 and gets 17." [2d8=6, 7]
[15:24] <@Ebiris> A terrifying mace strike from Lucie cleanly decapitates the creature, sending its head careening into the side of the nearby hut and crunching through the wooden wall to embed itself halfway in! Yet the already dead corpse must have no need for a head, for it remains upright regardless! Val growls ferociously but stays close to Henrietta rather than approaching both Myra and the undead beastman.
[15:24] <@Ebiris> OOC: Myra, you're already in melee with it
[15:26] <@Rudy> Living or dead, intact or whole, Myra's claws and teeth do not discriminate! She assaults the undying beastman with all her fury!
[15:26] <@Rudy> roll 1d20+8 bite
[15:26] * +Hatbot --> "Rudy rolls 1d20+8 bite and gets 21." [1d20=13]
[15:26] <@Rudy> roll 1d20+8 claw
[15:26] <@Rudy> roll 1d20+8 claw
[15:26] * +Hatbot --> "Rudy rolls 1d20+8 claw and gets 16." [1d20=8]
[15:26] * +Hatbot --> "Rudy rolls 1d20+8 claw and gets 11." [1d20=3]
[15:26] <@Ebiris> OOC: two hits
[15:26] <@Rudy> roll 1d6+7
[15:26] * +Hatbot --> "Rudy rolls 1d6+7 and gets 12." [1d6=5]
[15:26] <@Rudy> roll 1d4+7
[15:26] * +Hatbot --> "Rudy rolls 1d4+7 and gets 11." [1d4=4]
[15:28] <@Ebiris> With furious violence Myra rips through the animated cadaver, wrecking its ribs and tearing off one of its half-winged arms which only hangs thanks to the infestation of vines running through its body. With its remaining good arm, though, the headless zombie flails wildly at the eldritch monstrosity!
[15:28] <@Ebiris> roll 1d20+5
[15:28] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d20+5 and gets 22." [1d20=17]
[15:28] <@Ebiris> OOC: AC?
[15:28] <@Rudy> OOC: 20
[15:28] <@Ebiris> roll 1d6+5
[15:28] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d6+5 and gets 8." [1d6=3]
[15:29] <@Ebiris> The hit has enough momentum to knock Myra back on her heels, but not enough to do any real harm to her toughened form!
[15:29] <@Ebiris> OOC: Rudy, you're in melee with it as well. No 5 foot steps in difficult terrain remember
[15:31] <@Rudy> Since he's right there, and it's right there, and Myra is there as well, Rudy whips out a dagger and stabs at the zombie's remaining arm!
[15:31] <@Rudy> roll 1d20+3
[15:31] * +Hatbot --> "Rudy rolls 1d20+3 and gets 11." [1d20=8]
[15:32] <@Ebiris> Unfortunately he extends too far and misses just as the arm retracts from its wild swing at Myra!
[15:32] <@Ebiris> OOC: Henrietta
[15:34] <@Henrietta> "I prepared for this!" Henrietta declares. With no space to truly move, the best she can do is fall back on her most useful spell. "I don't know if you are the brother we were ask to put to rest, but that is what we are doing!" Her summoned roses weave around her allies and stab unerringly into the zombie's torso with their stems.
[15:34] <@Henrietta> roll 3d4+3
[15:34] * +Hatbot --> "Henrietta rolls 3d4+3 and gets 10." [3d4=1, 2, 4]
[15:39] <@Ebiris> The roses slam into the ruined torso with magically impelled force, blasting out chunks of bone and rotting flesh along with whatever else has infested the long dead cadaver! There's so little of it left by now that it almost seems to be being held up by the bloody red vines snaking through its decomposing flesh rather than anything else... said vines seeming to be far more than mere decoration all of a sudden as a writhing mass of them suddenly animates from under our heroes feet! A mass of animate creepers begins to rise up under Rudy's feet to lash around his legs, while the side of the hut next to Henrietta abruptly explodes with the force of several vine forcing their way out to get at her! Fortunately for at least one of the duo, Val leaps up to try and bite through said flora before it can harm his mistress!

[15:44] <@Ebiris> While Rudy is struck painfully, he manages to hop away before the vines can grab hold of him. Henrietta is not so lucky despite her faithful dog's help, and finds the vines looping around her body, tightly pinning her arms to her sides and squeezing hard!
[15:44] <@Ebiris> OOC: Lucie
[15:46] <@Henrietta> "What are you doing?!" Henrietta exclaims, wriggling in the vines. "Stop that at once!"
[15:46] * @Lucie decides to knock down the enemy in front of her before diverting her attention elsewhere, bringing an overhanded swing down on what's left of the zombie.

[15:57] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d20+7 AoO and gets 20." [1d20=13]
[15:57] <@Ebiris> roll 1d4+4
[15:57] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d4+4 and gets 7." [1d4=3]
[15:58] <@Ebiris> OOC: DC 18 concentration or spell is lost
[15:58] <@Rudy> roll 1d20+10 curses
[15:58] * +Hatbot --> "Rudy rolls 1d20+10 curses and gets 24." [1d20=14]
[16:00] <@Ebiris> roll 1d20+7 forgot grapple check as well
[16:00] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d20+7 forgot grapple check as well and gets 23." [1d20=16]
[16:00] <@Ebiris> While Rudy gets the spell off to make his Henrietta grow, it comes at a dire cost as he finds himself sharing her predicament!
[16:00] <@Ebiris> OOC: Henrietta
[16:01] <@Henrietta> The best option left to Henrietta is to try and break free of the vine!
[16:02] <@Henrietta> roll 1d20+7
[16:02] * +Hatbot --> "Henrietta rolls 1d20+7 and gets 21." [1d20=14]
[16:03] <@Ebiris> With a mighty straining of her freshly engorged muscles, Henrietta tears herself free of the creepers that would bind her so! Her faithful dog follows this up by mauling the falling vines in his teeth with furious growling!
[16:03] <@Ebiris> roll 1d20+5 Val
[16:03] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d20+5 Val and gets 12." [1d20=7]
[16:05] <@Ebiris> Though he actually misses and gets one of the immobile vines instead. The animated ones don't relent, however - Henrietta is freshly attacked while the one that has bound Rudy digs into him tightly, seemingly feeding on his blood to fuel the growth of vile red blossoms all over its length that bloom and puff out a cloud of spores all around Rudy and those unfortunate enough to be close by, which includes Lucie and Myra.
[16:05] <@Ebiris> roll 1d20+7 attack on Henri first
[16:05] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d20+7 attack on Henri first and gets 9." [1d20=2]
[16:05] <@Ebiris> OOC: fort saves for Rudy and pals
[16:05] <@Rudy> roll 1d20+4 r
[16:05] * +Hatbot --> "Rudy rolls 1d20+4 r and gets 6." [1d20=2]
[16:05] <@Lucie> roll 1d20+4 why is it always fort
[16:05] <@Rudy> roll 1d20+6 m
[16:05] * +Hatbot --> "Lucie rolls 1d20+4 why is it always fort and gets 14." [1d20=10]
[16:05] * +Hatbot --> "Rudy rolls 1d20+6 m and gets 9." [1d20=3]
[16:06] <@Ebiris> roll 1d6 rounds entranced for Rudy and Myra, Lucie got off lucky
[16:06] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d6 rounds entranced for Rudy and Myra, Lucie got off lucky and gets 2." [1d6=2]
[16:06] * Ebiris changes topic to 'Lucie > Myra2 > Rudy2 > Henrietta > Val > Evil Vines'
[16:07] <@Ebiris> The vines suffuse Rudy's senses, taking him far away from his troubles and cares. He's dancing in the clouds with angels. He's chasing fairies across the rainbow for a pot of gold. He's floating high high in the air, the entire world just a marble in the palm of his hand! Myra has similar dreams though likely of her own alien bent, helpless against the very real and tangible threat in their faces!
[16:08] <@Ebiris> OOC: Lucie
[16:09] * @Lucie lays into the vines trapping Rudy in place, trying to swing with enough force to rip them right out of the ground!
[16:09] <@Lucie> roll 1d20+5 attack
[16:09] * +Hatbot --> "Lucie rolls 1d20+5 attack and gets 12." [1d20=7]
[16:10] <@Ebiris> OOC: hits since it's grappling
[16:10] <@Lucie> roll 1d8+2 yay
[16:10] * +Hatbot --> "Lucie rolls 1d8+2 yay and gets 8." [1d8=6]
[16:11] <@Ebiris> Lucie's mace tears through a few vines but there's still plenty more besides those to keep Rudy held tightly!
[16:11] * Ebiris changes topic to 'Lucie > Myra1 > Rudy1 > Henrietta > Val > Evil Vines'
[16:11] <@Ebiris> OOC: Henrietta
[16:12] <@Henrietta> With her increased strength, Henrietta brings her flail down upon the frisky vines!
[16:12] <@Henrietta> roll 1d20+9
[16:12] * +Hatbot --> "Henrietta rolls 1d20+9 and gets 23." [1d20=14]
[16:12] <@Henrietta> roll 2d8+7
[16:12] * +Hatbot --> "Henrietta rolls 2d8+7 and gets 15." [2d8=2, 6]
[16:13] <@Ebiris> roll 1d20+7 Val will help
[16:13] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d20+7 Val will help and gets 12." [1d20=5]
[16:14] <@Ebiris> Henrietta's flail goes through the vines like its ancestors would have gone through wheat, smashing and pulping it mightily! A few tendrils remain animate though, enough so to slide out of a lunging dog's teeth before lashing out at her in retaliation!
[16:14] <@Ebiris> roll 1d20+7
[16:14] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d20+7 and gets 20." [1d20=13]
[16:14] <@Ebiris> roll 1d4+4
[16:14] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d4+4 and gets 6." [1d4=2]
[16:14] <@Ebiris> roll 1d20+7 grapple
[16:14] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d20+7 grapple and gets 23." [1d20=16]
[16:14] <@Ebiris> OOC: CMD while big?
[16:15] <@Henrietta> OOC: 19 originally, I think 20 after calculations?
[16:17] <@Ebiris> Henrietta is struck and bound up once more, the vines struggling to hold her increased proportions but giving a good show at it! Meanwhile the vine that has Rudy bound snakes up over his body while tendrils extrude from the blooms, seeking to burrow into his flesh!
[16:17] <@Ebiris> roll 1d4 con damage
[16:17] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d4 con damage and gets 3." [1d4=3]
[16:18] <@Ebiris> OOC: Lucie
[16:18] * @Lucie keeps battering at the vines holding Rudy. "Dammit, one of you needs to snap out of this right now."
[16:18] <@Lucie> roll 1d20+5
[16:18] * +Hatbot --> "Lucie rolls 1d20+5 and gets 14." [1d20=9]
[16:18] <@Lucie> roll 1d8+2 that hit last time, so
[16:18] * +Hatbot --> "Lucie rolls 1d8+2 that hit last time, so and gets 9." [1d8=7]
[16:20] <@Ebiris> While more fall inert and tumble off of Rudy from Lucie's attacks, those that remain continue feeding off of his precious bodily fluids without mercy, even as he and Myra awaken from their pleasant dreams to confront the horror of the situation!
[16:20] * Ebiris changes topic to 'Lucie > Myra > Rudy > Henrietta > Val > Evil Vines'
[16:20] <@Ebiris> OOC: Henri, you wanted Val to go first?
[16:20] <@Henrietta> OOC: Please
[16:21] <@Ebiris> Barking angrily, Val leaps up against Henrietta, getting muddy paws all over her dress as he snarls and snaps at the vines enfolding her!
[16:21] <@Ebiris> roll 1d20+5
[16:21] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d20+5 and gets 17." [1d20=12]
[16:21] <@Ebiris> roll 1d6+3
[16:22] * +Hatbot --> "Ebiris rolls 1d6+3 and gets 8." [1d6=5]
[16:22] <@Ebiris> In a flurry of ravaged plant shreds, they fall off of Henrietta, freeing her from bondage and leaving the vines eating away at Rudy as the only visible threat!
[16:23] <@Henrietta> "Enough is enough!" Henrietta exclaims, using her extended reach to slam her flail against the ground, at the base of the vines using Rudy as supper.
[16:23] <@Henrietta> roll 1d20+7
[16:23] * +Hatbot --> "Henrietta rolls 1d20+7 and gets 16." [1d20=9]
[16:23] <@Henrietta> roll 2d8+7
[16:23] * +Hatbot --> "Henrietta rolls 2d8+7 and gets 15." [2d8=4, 4]
[16:24] <@Ebiris> Despite any nourishment they may have drawn from Rudy, Henrietta's brute strength is enough to finally do them in, their tattered remnants falling off of the bloody and violated summoner!
[16:24] <@Ebiris> OOC: Free act for now
[16:25] * @Henrietta doesn't waste a moment before doing something she should have done to begin with and bolstering herself!
[16:25] <@Henrietta> roll 1d10+5
[16:25] * +Hatbot --> "Henrietta rolls 1d10+5 and gets 13." [1d10=8]
[16:26] * @Lucie kicks through the remnants of the vines, trodding on them to make sure they're well and truly dead. "Almost like the plants were doing all the work there. Could do ourselves a favor by just setting them on fire next time, I figure."
[16:26] <@Henrietta> "Good boy, Val," she says next, petting her dog. At Lucie's words, she nods slightly. "Well, I could do that, if you keep them off me long enough next time."
[16:27] * @Lucie nods. "Got a spell handy for it? Alright then."
[16:27] <@Rudy> Rudy seems dazed, leaning on Myra for support and with his gaze cast to the heavens.
[16:27] <@Henrietta> "And a spell for feeling clean again." Henrietta shudders. "That is most definitely not the way plants should be used!"
[16:27] <@Ebiris> The heavens weep for Rudy.
[16:28] <@Lucie> "Try explaining that to them. Hey, you alright, Rudy?"
[16:29] <@Rudy> "No, I'm not," replies Rudy. "But I'll live, I think."
[16:29] <@Lucie> "Good enough."
