OOC: Ika continues here

Diving under the waters, Ika hears an explosion overhead, the seawater tossing her this way and that, dangerously shoving her around before suddenly she splashed down onto a bed of all things.  Though disoriented, she was now in some fancy bedroom, a single window off to the side and very old furniture around.
Well, Goodbye.

Arakawa

"Huh... whaa?"

Ika staggers blearily to her feet, wondering what just happened... there was a whale... and then it exploded... what? Whales don't usually explode? Do they?

"My brain hurts..."

OOC: what, no damage from getting caught in an exploding whale? Okay...

Rubbing her head and observing that she's in a quiet room with a bed, Ika decides that a nap would be nice right about now. Was there anything scary around that would explode, take orders from her, or otherwise make itself inconvenient?

In order to answer these questions Ika looks around to see (a) if there's an exit from the bedroom and (b) what's outside the window.

OOC: I felt that'd be mean to Bolt, who was trying hard not to hit you.  If you want explosion damage though... :3
IC:
There is one locked door to the room.  It seems firmly sealed.

Outside, there seems to be some kind of festival going on, by all the noise and people down there.
Well, Goodbye.

Arakawa

Getting the feeling she was somehow tempting fate by thinking too hard about the explosion, and not seeing any threats around, Ika curls up on the bed and waits to fall asleep.

OOC: Really going to sleep Ika?  If so I'll have to pause you for a bit as you are in active time with other players at the moment.
Well, Goodbye.

Arakawa

OOC: Unfortunately, this is the most in-character reaction I can think of. Let me know when I've been unpaused, then.

OOC: Ah, that's fair.  I shall provide some distraction then :P
IC:

It seems hard to get to sleep as Ika curls in the too big bed.  Something about the shouting going on down at the base of the tower that gets through the pillow she's tugged over her head.
Well, Goodbye.

Arakawa

Ugh, what were they doing? Ika was tired as anything.

She got up and stomped to the window to take a closer look at what was going on.

Peering down, it seemed to be some kind of human festival?  There was an arrow flying through the air and everyone was loud once it hit some red and white target on the other side.
Well, Goodbye.

Arakawa

Throwing open the window, Ika shouts:

"CAN YOU KEEP IT DOWN?! People are trying to sleep in here! I JUST SURVIVED AN EXPLODING WHALE! REST IS REQUIRED!"

... then decides that this is unlikely to go down well, and checks to see if maybe there's something among the furniture she can hang over the window to muffle the noise.

There indeed is a tapestry on the wall she could yank down and put over the window that would stiffle a good deal of the sound.
Well, Goodbye.

Arakawa

Ika pulls down the tapestry (taking a curious glance as to what might be pictured on it) and heads over to the window, glancing outside to see if the commotion is still in full force.

Upon the tapestry is some funny looking plants about a shield with blooming roses and sharp thorns.  It probably was very symbolic.  And not edible.
Well, Goodbye.

Arakawa

Up over the window it goes then, Ika making sure that the window itself is shut tightly.

Hopefully that should keep out the noise. Ika gets back to the bed and tries to fall asleep.

OOC: Ika recovers back to full stats.  Rest well. :)
Well, Goodbye.
