[20:26] <Kotono> You find Filbrez in his shop. It is full of tall shelves, stacked to the brim with bottles, containers, minerals, tools, scrolls, jars, beakers, weapons, armor, barrels, rope and dozens of other things. A few people are about here, including Adrian. He's examining a jar full of what looks to be fizzy blue light, peering deeply intoit. Filbrez himself approaches as you come in, a bell over
[20:26] <Kotono> the door announcing Ithea's presence. "Ah, welcome!"
[20:27] <Ithea> "Hello, Filbrez," Ithea greets, tossing a silent nod towards Adrian in greeting to him too. "How's the shop coming along?"
[20:31] <Kotono> Adrian returns the nod, mostly intent on studying that light for the moment. "Well, well, well. Business is booming," Filbrez virtually chirps, "I heard all about the battle of Earthfall, and your soldiers certainly have the mood and booty for good business."
[20:37] * Ithea smiles. "Glad to hear business is going well. I might have some business of my own for you, do you have a selection of polearms? I wanted to see if you have anything with interesting enchantments."
[20:38] <Kotono> "Of course I do," Filbrez says with a jovial ease, "If I may inquire to your pricing range?"
[20:41] * Ithea muses a bit on that before finally replying. "About twenty four thousand, though I'm only looking today. I'm actually low on gold itself, I'd need to trade in my current weapon or find a buyer for it."
[20:43] <Kotono> "I have one you may like," Filbrez agrees, going to a shelf. He rustles in it, reaching past a cage with a snake in it, a chalice full of wine, and a rack of earrings. He pulls it out - it is a spear. A long spear in particular. It looks to be made of wood with an obsidian spearhead. "This one here's a curious little antique I came on awhile ago. It looks rather primitive, doesn't it?"
[20:46] * Ithea nods, looking it over briefly, before turning to Filbrez's face. "I don't suppose you mind if I use magic to try and figure out what makes it special on my own?" she asks the shop owner, not wanting to offend somehow by using detect magic or something weird like that.
[20:47] <Kotono> "By all means." Filbrez says, even passing the spear over to Ithea.
[20:49] <Ithea> "Thanks," Ithea says as she uses the magic to better examine the spear in her hands through her still good eye.

[20:52] <Kotono> This spear lacks even an enhancement bonus. Yet due to some primal magic within it, each time you score a blow on an enemy in combat, a monster is summoned as if by a nature's ally 1 spell, with a caster level of 3.
[20:57] * Ithea blinks at that. "Well, that's sort of interesting. Battlefield would be flooded with animals pretty quickly," Ithea finally comments regarding the enchantment. "Though I guess the more interesting part to me is that it doesn't even have an enhancement bonus, always thought that was needed to enchant a weapon with anything else."
[21:02] <Kotono> "That's the strange part. Every once in a great while you'll find something like this." Going on and clapping his hands together, "Thigns empowered by cosmic caprice or accidents is my working guess."
[21:06] * Ithea nods again, though she hands the spear back to Filbrez. "It's certainly an interesting enchantment, and while it might be amusing to see a swarm of monkeys throw themselves at a pit fiend, it's probably not a good fit for me."
[21:08] <Kotono> "Too bad. I hear that a lot with it. It's such a novelty," Filbrez confesses, "I've been looking for the legendary exploding summons spell. Bundle them as a package deal; exploding summons every time you strike true."
[21:30] <Ithea> "Sometimes I wonder what people were thinking when they made up some spells. Exploding summons, huh?" Ithea says with a shake of her head before laughing.
[21:32] <Kotono> "That, my friend, is why it is a legendary spell!" Laughing as well, "Can I interest you in some potions, then?"
[21:33] <Ithea> "Not today, like I said, I'm only looking for weapons right now," Ithea says with a shake of head. "I'll come back when I have some more spending money and look at your other wares then though."
[21:34] <Ithea> "Got anything else in the weapon department?"
[21:38] <Kotono> "Nothing in your price range," Filbrez admits, "Come back with more money."
