[20:16] <Ko-SageisIllyasveil> OOC: Okay. Make a trio of GI checks.
[20:16] <Jaela> roll 3#1d20+22 (if I can use Divine Insight on each, then +15 to each result)
[20:16] * Hatbot --> "Jaela rolls 3#1d20+22 (if I can use Divine Insight on each, then +15 to each result) and gets 79." [3#1d20+22 = 27, 23, 29]
[20:19] <Ko-SageisIllyasveil> It's not too hard to rustle up some information this time. Afina and Jaela hear that the Seven Coin Inn is informally known as where agents of Celestia and the Triad are often found, including those of Tyr.
[20:21] <Jaela> "The Seven Coin Inn, then? Let's see if we can't spot someone with Tyr's symbol outside the place, and if we're out of luck, we can just try inside."
[20:23] <Afina> "Suits me," Afina shrugs agreeably as she flutters along beside Jaela. "Out of interest, though, why Brightwater? Wouldn't Elysium have been better as a bridge between law and chaos?"
[20:24] <Jaela> "I fucking hate Elysium, remember?" Jaela brightly responds. "Just can't get past that 'people stay too long and they can't leave' bullshit."
[20:25] <Afina> "Oh, I'd actually forgotten about that," Afina admits. "Well, makes a lot more sense to me, now."
[20:26] <Jaela> "Just because it doesn't work on me doesn't mean I can't feel it, always there." Jaela shrugs. "So I really try to avoid going there. Also, no real clue where to find some Tyr dude between all the endless fields."
[20:27] * Afina is silent, compelled by Jaela's firm grasp of planar mechanics and theology.
[20:27] * Jaela is more than happy to lead the rest of the way in silence!
[20:28] <Ko-SageisIllyasveil> roll 1d100
[20:28] * Hatbot --> "Ko-SageisIllyasveil rolls 1d100 and gets 84." [1d100=84]
[20:28] <Ko-SageisIllyasveil> roll 1d100
[20:28] * Hatbot --> "Ko-SageisIllyasveil rolls 1d100 and gets 46." [1d100=46]
[20:30] <Ko-SageisIllyasveil> As you walk along, you pass a row of well constructed, sturdy looking wooden stalls. Various cries are heard as you pass, "Fresh fish! Fresh fish!" "Two for one sale on all clay bowls!" "Clockwork time pieces, straight from Mechanus!" "Spell components! Get your superior spell components here!" "Fey-nip, get your fey-nip!" "Candies blessed by Lliira herself, certain to bring joy and happiness!"
[20:31] <Jaela> "Hey, what's fey-nip?" Jaela whispers to Afina, glancing at that stall strangely.
[20:33] <Afina> "I don't know," Afina admits honestly. "It sounds suspicious, though," she adds, thinking a moment before she zips over to that stall. "One fey-nip please."
[20:35] <Kotono> The man there has golden skin and an inviting smile, long brown hair tied back in a severe ponytail. He tips a cap to Afina, "Oh!" He smiles winsomely ato Afina, "Ah, a fair pixie! Ma'am, have you heard of my marvelous fey-nip before?"
[20:36] <Afina> "No, I just heard you shouting about it," said pixie replies deadpan. "What is it, anyway?"
[20:37] <Jaela> "Does it make pixies do embarrassing things?" Jaela asks, following Afina to the stall.
[20:38] <Kotono> On the stall before him are dozens of green wrapped pouches, each one about the size of a yarnball or so. "Oh well, allow me to explain! Fey-nip is an innovative new formula developed from years of hard work! Do you have a garden that's failing? A lawn that could use more green? Are you a mortal who just can't hack it at nature back home?" Hefting a bag, "Put out this fey-nip into your yard and
[20:38] <Kotono> you'll be blessed by fey presences immediately! The tide of nature spirits like that will ensure your garden, lawn, orchard, trees or anything else will show a dramatic rise in apperance!" After a moment and clearing his voice, "Fey-nip is mildly alcoholic to fey. Your immediate area may be at risk for increased chances of half-fey children. Please use responsibly."
[20:40] <Jaela> "So it's for lonely guys who really want to summon a nymph or a dryad?" Jaela deadpans.
[20:40] <Kotono> "No!" With a quick shake of his head, "It's purely a way to curry the favor of nature directly. Far more affordable than spells!"
[20:41] <Afina> Afina briefly has a thought of using it to make the gardens more pleasant for the various pixies to relax in, though Jaela's supposition brings a frown to her brow. "Let me have a sniff first, I might buy some if I like it," she says, extending a hand.
[20:42] <Kotono> "A free sample? Of course," A green pouch is passed over to Afina, "Untie it and take a sniff."
[20:42] * Afina unties it away from her face and then leans over a second later to look in and take a sniff.
[20:43] <Kotono> It is a brown and green powder, rather like insence. It smells like the forest, like grass and sunshine, like raindrops. It smells good. Really good! It makes Afina's nose tickle and grow warm. A whimsical feeling passes through her.
[20:47] * Afina sighs blissfully before closing up the bag. "How long does it keep for?"
[20:50] <Kotono> "About a month," he answers, smiling a little more now, "I don't see many fey here that don't call these realms home. If you pardon me saying so...you're a long way from home, aren't you?"
[20:53] <Afina> Well, it's probably for the best that she can't impulsively buy out his entire stock to keep Aurora well supplied for the next few years. "Yes, my home was conquered by hell and now we fight to liberate it. These would be nice for us to relax with inbetween battles." Also they probably need to keep their numbers up if the Crusade lasts long enough, but she's not quite ready to think of herself
[20:53] <Afina> as breeding stock, yet.
[20:57] <Kotono> "Take a couple on the house," he says, "It looks like you could use it."
[21:02] <Afina> "Thank you, but I don't mind paying at all," Afina smiles gratefully, since she'd have to pay back a gift anyway by her sylvan standards of behaviour. "I may be back for more in the future, will you be at this market for long?"
[21:04] <Kotono> "Not really," He admits with a coughs and a strained laugh. "The problem is that I'm picky with who can buy it. Your angelic friend is right. It can be misused, especially by a man thinking of nymph curves and legends. Moving around helps me avoid the...ah, problems of having a clientele involving many unhappy, denied customers."
[21:05] <Jaela> "Our fortress moves across the planes a lot," Jaela mentions, deciding to be direct. "We've opened it to new markets and all that just recently."
[21:07] <Kotono> "Fortress?" The merchant asks, "A moving fortress...oh! Oh! OH!" Suddenly going wide eyed, "You're...! You're Afina, and that's Jaela!"
[21:08] <Afina> "Our names precede us?" the fairy asks with a surprised smile.
[21:08] <Jaela> Wearing an eyepatch finally paid off! People on the streets of Brightwater now recognize her! Jaela feels a bit of pride, thinking spitefully of all the countless devils who'll never get that sort of recognition. "Nice, huh?"
[21:11] <Kotono> "I heard the rumors! It's really starting to spread in the last few weeks - a group that's given the devils the slip, big time!" He answers, "Along with that an old legendary fortress had been commedeered by you, too."
[21:12] <Afina> "Aurora," Afina supplies. "And we intend to do far more than just give the devils the slip, given time."
[21:13] <Kotono> "I'm Grenalous," He offers a hand out over the stall, to Jaela. "If you're interested in all of this...how much business are you looking to do?"
[21:14] <Afina> "We don't have that many fey with us just yet, but in time there'll be more. Can you make anything other than this?"
[21:14] * Jaela shakes it, taking care not to crush the limb in her grip. "And there are plenty of others, unless you're only focusing on the fey."
[21:16] <Kotono> "This is my speciality, though I'm quite the alchemist," He goes on, his grip strong, but nothing like Jaela's.
[21:18] <Jaela> "We can keep you from the persecution of those lecher would-be customers, and our labs are top notch," Jaela notes. "Interested in making the move over to the Aurora?"
[21:37] <Kotono> "Really?" Asking that with a curious hum, "Well, it could be a good opportunity..." He seems to consider a moment, thinking.
[21:38] * Jaela raises an eyebrow, waiting.
[21:39] * Afina busies herself readying some coinage to pay for the two bags she's committed to either way.
[21:41] <Kotono> "How many customers does Aurora have," he asks at last.
[21:43] <Jaela> "In the area of hundreds, staying there," Jaela responds. "But you gotta be thinking about all the places we'll come across if you're looking at it that way. We're going across Air now, and before that we were on Astral and Ysgard. Plenty of customers to find along the way."
[21:43] <Afina> "We're still expanding and moving around a lot," Afina confirms.
[21:47] <Kotono> "....Alright, I'll do it," Grenalous volunteers at last, "Where is Aurora right now?"
[21:48] <Jaela> "Air, like I said. Want us to pick you up when we head back, or you've got your own ways of traveling?"
[21:49] <Kotono> "I'll get over there," He promises, "I havet o go pack up, collect debts and get ready now!" He starts scooping up packages of fey-nip, "But it shouldn't be too long."
[21:49] * Jaela grins, before giving him a few general directions on where to find them on said plane.
[21:50] * Afina just puts down the fey-nip she'd picked up before to save herself carrying it around on this diplomatic thing - she can get plenty once she goes back to Aurora.
[21:51] <Kotono> Onward you go. The Seven Coin Inn is a sturdy looking inn, a bit plain by the standards of Brightwater. It is seven stories tall, in the shape of a square. Regular windows dot it, the outside painted golden as the sunlight.
[21:53] <Jaela> Her armor has her holy symbol upon it, and along with their appearance it might be clear just who is stopping by for the inhabitants. But she's carrying no weapons and it's not their home ground, so Jaela feels confident in stepping inside the inn.
[21:53] <Afina> Afina has her sword! But devils can attack at any time so no one should begrudge it to her.
[22:01] <Kotono> The inn entrance is an archway, gilded with fine artistry. Within you find a cathedral. A large cathedral, stairs of gold leading up to open hallways, the center empty. Soaring up are multi-story works of art, showing various deeds of valor.
[22:03] <Jaela> "Plain on the outside, gold on the inside. Huh." Jaela blinks, and heads onwards, calling out, "Anyone here?"
[22:05] <Afina> "I wouldn't say plain. It was very tall," Afina notes, fluttering along closely beside Jaela.
[22:06] <Jaela> "Yeah, but it's Brightwater, right? It's full of all sorts of showy buildings, not just large ones."
[22:13] <Kotono> At Jaela's call, a lantern archon comes forth. The small little orb of light flies out from the third floor and down, "Hello," it calls, "Welcome to the Seven Coins. Are you looking for lodging?"
[22:15] <Jaela> "Hey there!" Jaela coughs. "It's an inn, right? So it's gotta have this huge dining area where people drink and all? We just wanna visit it, if that's cool."
[22:15] <Afina> Recalling how the last lantern archon got them into so much trouble, Afina doesn't feel charitably disposed towards this one. But they're here to make nice, and just as each pixie is different she can't judge all archons the same. About to ask after representatives of Tyr, she stops at Jaela's words. Playing it cool works, too.
[22:22] <Kotono> "I'm afraid not. Most of our guests don't need to eat," With a pleasant bob up and down, "We do have a small kitchen for guests who do need to eat, though. Would you like to see it?"
[22:23] <Afina> Then again, she's always found directness suited her. "We're actually looking for any representatives of Tyr if there are any staying here right now."
[22:24] <Jaela> "We hoped to catch them in a nice and casual setting, but this is fine too," Jaela agrees. "Is there a priest of the Holy Judgement that'll spare us a few minutes?"
[22:25] <Kotono> "Ooooh!" Fluttering up, "Both of you should follow me then. They're on the third floor," The archon flies right on up.
[22:26] <Afina> "Thank you," Afina gives it a smile and flies up after it.
[22:32] <Kotono> Up the party flies. The third floor has several doors, including one that is little more than a door connected to a free-standing balcony. It's here the archon leads you, "It's right in here."
[22:33] <Jaela> "Thanks!" Giving the archon a wave, Jaela knocks on the door. These stiff types can be pretty annoying about dumb little shit like that.
[22:38] <Kotono> After a few beats, "Enter," A man's voice calls over. It's a deep, rich voice. A voice of a commander, a voice of a leader.
[22:39] * Jaela opens the door and strides inside with the utmost confidence! They're commanders too, and leaders, and really good at killing things!
[22:40] <Afina> But hopefully they won't have to kill anyone here! Afina doesn't particularly ooze confidence, anyway, just the air of a graceful yet oddly unbalanced fairy as she flutters alongside Jaela.
[22:46] <Kotono> Within is a smaller cathedral. Seven rows of pews before an altar, with it the symbol of a blue shield with scales painted onto it and embossed. Before that altar a man in full plate armor kneels, gray haired. He looks to be bowed in silent supplication or prayer.
[22:47] * Afina can be patient, and waits between the pews for him to finish praying.
[22:47] <Jaela> A small cathedral inside a larger one? Architecture. Jaela just can't get it. She is about to speak, but with a sideways glance at Afina closes the door behind them and settles to wait as well.
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Corwin

[20:11] <Kotono> The man stays in humble prayer. He does not rise immediately, but instead finishing his reflections before rising. He turns to you. He is a man, gray haired and carrying his heavy metal armor without any sign of strain. His shoulders are upright, face aged and wrinkled. Across his front dozens of scraps of parchment are wrapped, each one with Celestial writing on it.  Words such as 'mercy'
[20:11] <Kotono> 'judgment' 'justice' 'hope' and 'glory'. "Hail and well met," he calls, "I am but a humble servant of the Maimed God. Do you seek to pay worship here?"
[20:13] <Jaela> "We were hoping to talk," Jaela responds, inclining her head to return his greeting.
[20:15] <Kotono> "Words are free here," He says without a hint of a smile, "Even if some below would perhaps charge for them." He goes to the nearest pew and sits, "Sit down if you like...I have a hunch this isn't a formal discussion."
[20:16] <Afina> "It could be," Afina notes, fluttering over to perch on the backrest of the pew, her legs dangling over and failing to reach the seat. "My name is Afina and this is Jaela. We have had difficulties recently with Gods who share much of Tyr's beliefs and position in Celestia, almost to the point where it's starting to look like we're opposed to Celestia as a whole. We want to change that."
[20:18] * Jaela leans against the pew further ahead, to face the priest properly, her armor dismissed for the time being. "And if you need reasons for why we want that, you brought one up yourself," she mentions. "Whatever our disagreements, we can always meet and talk to each other. We're not like those guys below who's deal with charges and petty tricks and rivalries like that."
[20:19] <Kotono> "Wise and well spoken," An appreciative nod to Jaela, "If I grasp your intent right, you mean this is a problem of law and chaos?"
[20:20] <Jaela> "It is being framed as one." Jaela grimaces. "We went along with it at first, a lot of that because I was so pissed off at the time, but that's not really where we want to take our crusade. It's about opposing devils and tyranny, not about fighting between ourselves while they or demons of 'loths win."
[20:22] <Afina> "Our world was conquered by Hell. As lawful a place as any, from how I understand it. It's only natural we graviate towards chaos for succor and comradeship in building a force to reclaim it," Afina observes. "Being what I am, I'm as bound by laws and compacts as any archon or devil, but mine are fundamentally different laws. I'll admit right out, it's hard for me to respect any other laws, if
[20:22] <Afina> the system of the planes gave Hell free reign to conquer our world. But we don't need extra enemies."
[20:25] <Kotono> "Hmmm." Resting against the pew and turning a bit to face both as best he can, "There's a lot to this, eh? Tell me the full story, it sounds like there's a lot going on here."
[20:33] <Jaela> "The full story's pretty long, so I'll give you the high points," Jaela responds, nodding slightly in agreement. "If you wanna know more about some part, just ask. Anyway, we have two major points of contention. The first came to be when we came across an abandoned church to Torm on Astral, and ended up freeing an abandoned prisoner there. She turned out to be an immortal vampire, and when I brought an old man that was gutted by a pit fiend in the attack on our world to Ilmater's realm, Helm sent angels to arrest me. His case was that he took Torm's duties, and keeping her imprisoned was one of them. My case was that he never really accepted it in the first place since she was forgotten and abandoned, and that we could deal with it simply enough. Watch over her so she doesn't step out of line, find a way to stop her if she does and beyond all, find a way to bring her back. She's immortal, right? So Helm's solution is only a stopgap at best, and it's pretty cruel considering the terms of imprisonment. In that case, isn't it best to find a solution that keeps everyone happy, even her? Well, he disagreed, but it gets tricky here. He was there personally, and he said I'm guilty and had to be punished, but he also personally let me go. He branded me an enemy, though, so people who don't know the details will just focus on that and ignore the tacit approval, won't they? That's a problem." Jaela pauses to see if any part of that is unclear, before she moves on to Baleruk.
[20:39] <Kotono> "That's a fine mess you've gotten yourself into." His observation is the only one he says until after Jaela finishes. "I don't presume to understand or speak for Lord Helm," he begins, "But this isn't the first time I've heard of a situation like this. As best I understand, Helm has taken on Torm's duties and role. He does one thing by the law and then extends mercy because it is the right thing
[20:39] <Kotono> to do.
[20:41] <Afina> "Aside from disapproval and the initial capture Helm hasn't really done much to hinder us, anyway. Our much greater worry is Bahamut," Afina leads in to their next unwanted nemesis.
[20:43] <Jaela> "Yeah, I know he keeps on doing this," Jaela agrees. "Didn't know what to think of the Kelemvor thing, but yeah, not really surprised it happens often. Thing is, like Afina says, there's more than one set of laws. I don't think it's good for someone to trample on everyone else's laws. We're looking at how things affect us, but there's bound to be tensions against something like that as well, right? I don't like how that whole thing went, but it's not like I want our enemies to gain an upper hand over Helm, either." She nods at Afina, then, preparing to go into those details.
[20:45] <Kotono> "It's inevitable. I've served as a judge in my homeland. There are times when a person before you is guilty as sin by the law, but by any good moral standard he does not deserve his punishment." Now he pauses to rub his left hand with his right, "But how did you earn the Platinum Dragon's wrath?"
[20:48] <Jaela> "The other time we came in conflict with planar law was with Bahamut and Tiamat," Jaela continues. "You might wonder how they put their differences behind them and worked together. I know we did. I don't get how allying with Tiamat is okay for a paragon like Bahamut, but apparently it was. We, however, had made a pact to help Baleruk, a decent enough green dragon that was trying to become a Prismatic. That's a sort of dragon Tiamat has jealously guarded for herself out of greed. Even though we offered Bahamut to work together and rid the multiverse of Tiamat, he chose against it. He cited contracts he made with her, and then demanded we dissolve the one we made ourselves with Baleruk. In the end, we succeeded in slaying a blue dragon carrying the last piece of... uh, potential, I guess, that Baleruk needed. Bahamut and Tiamat appeared, and pretty much swore vengeance and cursed all present." She snorts. "You mentioned mercy? It sure wasn't shown then. There was a ghaele that likes dragon around who had nothing to do with it. She just likes dragons and we brought her alone to show Baleruk to her. She still got cursed by Bahamut all the same, though."
[20:49] * Jaela sighs. "It was like that with Helm as well, now that I think about it. It doesn't matter if we make a promise and bind ourselves. That's something he expected me to break. But they justify themselves with the same thing. Is that really just?"
[20:54] <Kotono> "If something so dire has caused both of the parents of dragonkind to put aside their legendary emnity?" He says calm for all of it, "Why did you not relent? Were I to do something that provoked such a response, I would realize my course was gravely in error."
[20:55] <Jaela> "My patrons didn't oppose it," Jaela responds simply, "Nor did the Court of the Stars. If they were neutral about it, then it couldn't have been horrible."
[20:57] <Afina> "Since Tiamat is aligned with hell then anything that upsets her has to be good by my reckoning," Afina puts in. "The way they talked implied that the compact against prismatic dragons was also a truce between them. I suppose peace suits them, but speaking as someone from a world destroyed by hell run amuck? Anything that puts more pressure on hell's doorstep so they have less attention to spare
[20:57] <Afina> on other worlds is all to the better."
[20:58] * Jaela pauses, then, and asks, "If the Seldarine were working together with Graz'zt against you, what would you believe? That you were in error and needed to bow your head down before the demon lord?"
[21:01] <Kotono> "I would ask of them and fear something horrible beyond reckoning has happened," He speaks quietly, "At the same time, I fear your question misses the underlying truth. There is no greater bond between Graz'zt and the Seladrine.  Bahamut and Tiamat are the parents of the dragons...parents at war they may be, but still parents. Things that threaten all their children bring about their wrath."
[21:05] <Afina> "With Baleruk's example dragons might turn on one another to gain the power for their own prismatic ascendance," Afina admits, "But dragons aren't known for their peaceful co-existence to start with."
[21:06] <Jaela> "Selune and Shar, then?" Jaela shrugs. "Nevermind. Like Afina said as well, there were plenty of reasons for us to both dislike this truce that somehow let Hell gobble up two Primes in recent history and the way allying with Hell was okay. I can't even say I'd do it all differently if I had a choice now. But the problem is the implications, don't you think? We don't want it to go too far out of hand. If Celestia picks a fight with us, who would it benefit? I don't intend to forget the important part, which is who our true enemies are, and that despite our differences, we're not enemies. And from what we can tell, Lord Tyr's the one who can help us find some balance, for everyone's benefit."
[21:09] <Kotono> Putting it aside as well, "So are you looking for the agencies of the Maimed God to serve as mediation?"
[21:11] <Jaela> "Yes. Personally, it offends me to so much as suggest I'm in the wrong. But I need to consider the bigger picture. This tension isn't good for anyone involved. It's bad for us and the goals of our Crusade. It's bad for the chances of our world getting liberated. It's bad for Celestia and the Triad. It might even be bad for Arborea, if they see us stick to our laws and honor and get pushed too far by Celestia. Once things escalate past a certain point, it might be too late. Let's not get there in the first place."
[21:13] <Kotono> "Wise words," he agrees to that, thinking. After a moment, "Jaela and Afina, isn't it? Have I introduced myself yet?"
[21:13] <Afina> "Even if we put aside reaching any accomodation with Helm and Bahamut," Afina begins, perfectly willing to write both off, "We wish to clear up our relationship with Celestia and its other powers. We don't expect allies, but we needn't gain enemies." She shakes his head, since no he hasn't introduced himself.
[21:13] <Jaela> "I'm Jaela, yeah," she agree, before she thinks for a moment and shakes her head. "Sorry. It was rude not to ask, wasn't it?"
[21:17] <Kotono> "Ansan," He answers, "Ansan Breckberg. Stay the night; I'll need to meditate on this and seek further guidance."
[21:19] <Afina> "We expected it would have to go farther. Thank you for hearing us, though," Afina pushes off the pew now, wings fluttering her airborne.
[21:19] * Jaela nods, even as she wonders if the inn has place for sleeping. There wasn't a dining area, after all....
[21:20] <Kotono> "Tell the little one outside to provide you room and board for the night," Ansan replies, rising himself.
[21:21] <Kotono> roll 1d100
[21:21] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 1d100 and gets 69." [1d100=69]
[21:23] <Kotono> roll 1d2
[21:23] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 1d2 and gets 2." [1d2=2]
[21:24] <Kotono> The night passes without incident. Jaela sleeps soundly, while Afina has rather energetic, happy dreams. The next morning there's a knock on your room's door, "Breakfast," A woman's voice calls. "Can I come in?"
[21:24] <Jaela> "Sure thing," Jaela calls back, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.
[21:25] <Afina> Wide awake now and fully dressed, being an early riser and paranoid sleeper, Afina sits on the bed and wonders what archons eat.
[21:26] * Jaela sits up and brings her gauntlets into her lap. With those around, she will always feel safe, no matter the situation.
[21:28] <Kotono> The little lantern archon pushes along a wheeled cart, covered trays on it. "Breakfast," It pipes up, pushing its body agaisnt the side to move it. "Once you eat and clean yourselves up, you're invited back to see Ansan."
[21:29] <Afina> "Thank you," Afina smiles, since this lantern archon seems so much nicer than the last one, fluttering up to go lift a cover and see what's for eating.
[21:29] <Jaela> "Thanks," Jaela responds, brushing her hair aside to put her eyepatch on. First, she'll brush her hair, so breakfast will be a bit delayed.
[21:31] <Kotono> It's plain enough food. Nothing fancy but there's a lot of small dishes - oatmeal, milk, chopped quarters of fruit, a little bit of grilled ham, a green vegetable that Afina doesn't know offhand.
[21:32] <Afina> Milk and fruit are good for pixies, though she has a bit of oatmeal as well for roughage, and gives the green vegetable a try. After eating she's quite ready to go, but she offers magic cleaning services to Jaela if needed.
[21:33] * Jaela gratefully makes use of them as she eats her ham and vegetables.
[21:39] <Kotono> The food is good enough. Nothing special, but filling. Once done the duo heads back to the cathedral. Here you find Ansan awaiting, clad in the same armor as the day before.
[21:40] <Afina> "Good morning," Afina greets him pleasantly enough as she flutters in.
[21:40] <Jaela> "Morning," Jaela greets. She is clad in her own armor, shined to perfection!
[21:46] <Kotono> Offering his hand out, Ansan speaks. "I have a few more questions I'd like to ask."
[21:48] <Afina> "We'll do our best to answer," Afina shakes his hand with her tiny digits before making way for Jaela.
[21:48] * Jaela shakes it afterwards, naturally. "What is it?"
[21:50] <Kotono> "First," He styas standing, "Do you regret what you're done?"
[21:51] <Afina> "No," Afina replies, forthright and honest. Regrets, she has plenty, but about Baleruk and Annalise? No.
[21:53] <Jaela> She can only speak for herself, can't she? "I regret a lot of the results," Jaela says. "I regret not being able to handle things better. But I don't regret helping someone who was suffering, standing up for her and trying to show her a better way to live. I don't regret what lead to making a deal with Baleruk either."
[21:59] <Kotono> "Second," HE goes on with a nod of acknowledgement to those words, "What will be done with Aurora after your Crusade is done?"
[22:00] <Jaela> "Once Lifasa has been liberated from Hell, we will move on to Benfal," Jaela states instantly. "And then, another world suffering under Hell, and another. In that sense, the Crusade will never be over for as long as Hell exists."
[22:01] * Afina actually disagrees with that, but wonders if they should show disunity. It's not like they ever talked about it... "We haven't discussed it since it's a far off goal," she puts in carefully. "But following Medi's original goal wouldn't be unlikely."
[22:03] <Jaela> "We won't neglect the Abyss or the 'loths, either, if they try to do what Hell did to Lifasa," Jaela adds. "We just haven't heard of them trying it, that's all."
[22:05] <Kotono> "Third," Another short nod and then, "Who else do you seek as allies?"
[22:07] <Afina> "Any with the strength and will to aid us," Afina replies straightforwardly. She accepted Annalise, after all. "That said, the Githyanki Queen offered an alliance a few months ago which we've put off so far. The situation with Tiamat being what it is, we're almost certainly going to reject her outright, now."
[22:08] <Jaela> "The only rule I have is on who I won't have as allies," Jaela responds, this time taking care again to note it's her opinion. "Neither of the lower planes. Probably neither Mechanus or Limbo, either, since that hijacks our Crusade from what we want it to be. We have our natural allies in the Court of the Stars, in the Seldarine, in the Seelie realms." At Afina's mention, she nods. "I was not present at the time, or I would have pushed to reject it out of hand at the time. It doesn't settle well with me to ally with the Gith and their queen. But if you are asking whether we would like to fight alongside the Triad or Celestia's forces, the answer is yes, of course."
[22:09] <Kotono> "Thank you," Ansan replies, "Myself or another will use magic to contact you, or come to Aurora for a contact in due time.
[22:10] <Afina> "Thank you for hearing us out, Ansan. You or any sent in your stead will be welcomed within our walls," Afina bows her head respectfully.
[22:11] <Jaela> "Thanks for hearing us out, and passing the word on," Jaela agrees, extending her own formal bow. "We're on Air at present, and finding us after shouldn't be too hard, either."
[22:13] <Kotono> He offers his hand out again, "Good fortune to you," He replies.
[22:14] <Afina> "Goodbye." Another dainty handshake and then Afina is away out the door.
[22:16] <Jaela> "Good fortune," Jaela reciprocates, shaking his hand firmly and following Afina out. They can plane shift once they are back on the streets of Brightwater.
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake
