[20:37] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> As Muirfinn goes to get his purchases together, Adrian meanwhile is busy. Ithea's day is unremarkable right now as she practices her magic, familiar and slaad watching her. It's disrupted only by knocing, "Ithea?" Adrian calls. "You in there, kitty?"
[20:40] <Ithea> "I'm in," Ithea answers as she opens the door. "What's up, Adrian?"
[20:42] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "I'm managing that Lannark thing," Adrian says, "We're going to try diplomacy since they look formidable, but things coudl well break down. I could use a strong hand to help me with it."
[20:44] * Ithea nods. "Sure, I'll help out," Ithea answers. "When are we leaving?"
[20:47] <Ithea> "Is the whole 'enemy of all dragons' thing going to be a problem? Have any ideas regarding that?" Ithea asks, gesturing to her forehead. "I can stick to the back a bit and such, but anything with dragon blood is supposed to be able to tell the curse is there."
[20:48] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "Soon," Adrian replies, "Myself, you, Muirfinn, Kascha, Arrel. Dana wants to go, but a diplomatic mission ill suits her." Grimacing at that, "Can you imagine it?"
[20:50] <Ithea> "Can't be much worse than taking me if you don't have a way to deal with the little curse problem," Ithea points out. "She knows how to keep quiet too, she did when we were dealing with that problem on Earth."
[20:53] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "You know, I forgot about that?" Adrian grimaces, "I completely forgot about that when I got the idea to bring you along."
[20:55] * Ithea rolls her eyes. "Well, I'm pretty good at stealth, I'm pretty sure I could stay hidden, but that's just asking for a diplomatic nightmare if I'm hiding away and they somehow spot someone whose forehead screams out 'enemy' to them. Being open might be better, but we'd start off on a bad foot there too."
[21:00] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "I'm pretty good at feeling like a damned fool," Adrian leans back, slamming the back of his head against the wall. "How the hell did I forget about that?"
[21:02] * Ithea shrugs. "I'm gonna say you were daydreaming of Misalea when we mentioned it and you grabbed the job," Ithea says. "So you don't have a way to deal with that then? Do you want me to stand on standby with a gate from Tepen or something instead?"
[21:05] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "That's a good idea," Adrian says, straighening, "Keep someone else good with you, just in case. Say Balyss or one of your other friends. Just choose no so we'll know if we need reinforcemetns."
[21:08] <Ithea> "Going to take Dana with you then? I can keep her in my team if not, along with Balyss," Ithea asks.
[21:09] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "You do that. Keep Dana with you. Go get her and set that up for me. Thanks," Adrian smiles, hurrying off.

[21:11] * Ithea shakes her head in amusement as she calls for Elena, so she can find Dana, Balyss, and Tepen. The four of them should be enough for a team of reinforcements.
[21:23] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> Soon enough the four gather in the Courtyard. Tepen stands near the gate, while Balyss sits and Dana paces. It's the latter who speaks, "So we're stuck here until they need to be fucking saved?"
[21:24] <Ithea> "Pretty much," Ithea confirms. "There's a decent enough chance of it happening too."
[21:30] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "Well fuck," Dana grumps, "More sitting around hoping someone needs us."
[21:35] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "It could be worse," Balyss states quietly, "Selune will guide us when the time is right."
[21:40] <Ithea> "Well, while we're waiting and all...Hey, Balyss, Lady Bast said I should ask you about someone named Halene?" Ithea asks, trying to keep herself entertained for the time being.
[21:45] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "Oh right, sit here like pretty little maidens-" Dana begins, but Balyss clears her throat and quickly speaks over her, "Halene? That stray cat-oh wow, wait. I suppose it would make sense that she'd know," With a sheepish, sudden shrinking down, "You really did..." murmuring that, "Well...Halene's a servant of Sharess. We know each other - our faiths aren't united or anything, but you get
[21:45] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> to know the competition."
[21:48] <Ithea> "Compete over what?" is the curious reply to that.
[21:51] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "Worshipers. I met her back in Balmuria," Balyss explains, "We both serve our respective Goddesses and seek to see our flocks grow. A woman who venerates Sharess fully is one that I can't bring to Selune. Anyway, she has a penchant into turning into a housecat. It's a gift Sharess gives to her faithful. She got to know Veserya, one of the people who works at Whimsical Sweets - and one day
[21:51] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> showed up there, curled up in front of the fireplace and taking a catnap. She's vain, flightly and worships Sharess on her back, or on her knees," Ticking off fingers, "Or with her legs behind her head, or hung upside down by one man while the other...well, you can gather the rest. It's not even slander to her, she's all in with that part of Sharess's message."
[21:52] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "Hah," Dana laughs, throwing her head back.
[21:52] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "...how..." Tepen stops and turns, "That's a filthy, horrible thing to say about a woman."
[21:55] <Ithea> "Well that explains Lady Bast's desire to have more warriors representing her and less Halenes," Ithea murmurs with a raised eyebrow. "Definitely overdoing that aspect."
[22:13] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "You have no idea," Balyss mutters, "Plus she gets into literal catfights with Silver, a familiar pixie. She can fight when she wants to or gets riled up, but it's not her main attribute."
[22:14] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "No fucking kidding, but there's nothing wrong with that. She knows what she wants and takes it, instead of being some weak noble priss," Dana pipes up, "Good for her."
[22:20] <Ithea> "Yeah, well, she can promote that part of Lady Bast's message. I'll focus on the one I was asked to promote, I think."
[22:21] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "Hey!" Dana suddenly grins, "Maybe she's just helping you get along with Stille! If he's gonna stick his dick in everything, maybe you need to be down with licking everyone he sticks, too."
[22:21] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> Balyss suddenly reddens, blushing hotly underneath her golden skin!
[22:22] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "I don't think advising wanton hedonism means you were listening to what Ithea was saying," Tepen says, voice cooling rapidly. "Were you?"
[22:24] * Ithea frowns at Dana and crosses her arms. "She wasn't," Ithea says flatly. "And Lady Bast seemed okay with how Stille and I were handling our relationship, thanks for suggesting otherwise."
[22:27] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "Oh come on, have a sense of humor," Dana snorts, crossing her arms as she watches air elementals fly outside, "Besides, you're the one courting an admitted cad. I figure you're either deluding yourself or you're interested in hunting down some pussy with him, pussycat."
[22:28] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "Or another man." After a beat, "It's not like women are the only ones who go for the home army." Balyss adds, "Dana, in any case, shut up. You're talking about my brother."
[22:36] <Ithea> "He is a charmer, and yes, a heartbreaker too," Ithea admits. "I started a relationship expecting something casual knowing all that, so maybe I -am- deluding myself given where we're at. But I'm happy with him, and while his eyes may wander, he's been true to me so far and he hasn't asked for more than I've been willing to give."
[22:43] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "Whatever," Dana shrugs, "At least you're getting laid. That counts for something."
[22:49] * Ithea starts to say something, but instead clears her throat. "...so okay, moving on, do we know anything about what type of dragon blood these Lannark have? I figure I can cast resistance for whatever energy they might favor if it's not fire," she diverts topics away from her supposed sex-life.
[22:59] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "According to what we've learned," Tepen speaks up, "Chromatic dragons as well as a rare type known as emerald dragons."
[23:01] <Ithea> "So no particular resistance that's worth focusing on," Ithea says. "Oh well."
[23:06] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> As quiet settles down, "So Ithea," Balyss breaks the silence, "Do you realize how lucky you are?"
[23:08] <Ithea> "In what respect?" Ithea answers with a question of her own, tilting her head.
[23:17] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "Let's see," Balyss drawls, "You have a Goddess personally answering your questions and taking favor on you. Something that devotes who spend a lifetime in humble service rarely even dream of, let alone have happen. She personally convinced you to serve her. PERSONALLY!"
[23:27] <Ithea> "Maybe, though I don't like to think of it all as being luck. We did go searching for her in her realm, how many people put that effort into meeting a god or goddess? I made my own luck with how I sought her out further even after that whole golden apple thing fell through, for all the good and bad that led me to those steps, I made the choices," Ithea counters.
[23:27] <Ithea> "True, it helps that Lady Bast had a soft spot for felines, including Catfolk, but that alone wouldn't have gotten me to where it did."

[21:22] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> Soon enough, Muirfinn, Adrian, Kascha and Arrel gather in the courtyard. "Alright," Adrian announces, "Morniel came through, so we'll be gating to a place known as Dragon's Spire. We're expected and we're going to be given an audience. Our primary goal here is diplomacy - silk before fist. Don't let your guard down, it's possible things could degenerate as we're going into a relative
[21:22] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> unknown. Questions?"
[21:24] * Muirfinn shakes his head, patting Chok's flank. "We're ready to go."
[21:30] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> Heads are shook, as Adrian looks to Muirfinn. "Open the gate."
[21:31] * Muirfinn does so, opening a hole in space to their destination.
[21:35] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> With that, the others head through the portal!
[21:54] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> Thus the party steps through! You find yourself standing in a stone circle. The blue skies are clear of clouds, bitterly cold air blowing past you. Ahead of you is a rising peak, as you stand high on a mountain. Ahead of you great doors of what look to be solid iron loom 100ft tall, creaking open as you step through.
[22:05] <Muirfinn> Moving smoothly ahead, Muirfinn nevertheless frowns at the change in temperature.
[22:15] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "Greetings!" A booming voice calls over the squeal of moving iron. The man that approaches is about seven feet tall, clad in rich blue and greens, like the ocean. His features are draconic, humanoid and yet clearly marked with white scales. A delicate rapier hangs at his side, as he looks over the ground. His eyes slide over Adrian and he nods to him, then to Kascha. He lingers onto
[22:15] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> Arrel, half frowning, "Ah! Your mother was blessed," he says, bowing to the giant bird.
[22:18] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> Arrel gives the man a long look, "This blood is a blessign," he finally agrees.
[22:18] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "I am Adrian of Aurora," Adrian steps forward, "Hail and well met, friend." Offering a hand out, which is taken.
[22:19] * Muirfinn bows at the waist. "Muirfinn of Aurora. Well met."
[22:24] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "Come inside," He says, "It looks clear now, but in an hour's time a blizzard will be coming. I am Pel Azandar."
[22:25] * Muirfinn heads inside then! "Our thanks for the shelter."
[22:34] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> Inside you find a vast, stonecarved fortress. Flames are set into th ewall, like mounted fireplaces, spreading heat. The floor is stone, hard beneath your feet. The walls are all undecorated, huge hall after huge hall of stone, towering above you. "This is only a lesser peak," Pel Azandar speaks up, "I apologize for the small size."
[22:36] * Muirfinn looks around impassively. Not quite as nice as the Aurora. "It will serve its purposes."
[22:44] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> Adrian just shakes his head, as the group is lead to an oversized sitting room. Normal sized tables and chairs join bigger ones - even several huge perches, as if for giant birds, are about. It's about the size of a large open field, the walls decorated almost entirely with artworks of dragons. Barely any stone can be seen, "Please, seat yourselves whereever you are comfortable. As you
[22:44] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> may notice, we prefer to keep our halls open and our rooms well decorated."
[22:51] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> Adrian goes to sit, Arrel taking a perch and Kascha sitting next to Arrel. As people settle in, "The half blooded is greatly blessed by his heritage," Pel Azandar begins, "But may I ask of you and the young maiden...and if I may, what particular tribe or bloodline you are from, sir," A look to Muirfin.
[22:58] <Muirfinn> "I am a tortle, good sir. Ancient rumor states that draconic blood flows through our veins, though time has diluted it to nothingness if so." Muirfinn says, taking a seat.
[22:59] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "I took the power of a mist dragon in another world," Adrian says, as Kascha bows deeply, "Ah, I study dragons, sir."
[23:00] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "Admirable in all counts. Dragonblood never thins out entirely," With a sweeping gesture of a hand, "Taking dragon power is the mark of a man who will not be content to be a mere man, and your studies do you proud, celestial. Now...I understand you have a diplomatic message?"
[23:03] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "Yes. The Lannark Imperium waging war on the Infinite Stair. This won't be tolerated - the lillend have several allies to call on, and we are but one. But rather that descend into violence, we'd rather resolve this diplomatically." Adrian begins, "Travel with gates is a trivial matter for us, as Muirfinn has demonstrated, and he is but one of many who can do this in Aurora. This is not
[23:03] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> a war that will stay on your terms - we are capable of bringing this war to this world, if we must."
[23:07] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "Speculatively," Pel Azandar folds his hands, lizardine face nothing but a slight smile, "What would you propose, then?"
[23:08] <Muirfinn> Smiling genially now, Muirfinn says, "Why not start with what you hope to gain out of conquering the Infinite Stair?"
[23:09] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "Peace and no further attempts on the Infinite Stair," Adrian says, "Leave the lillend alone. If there is a matter needing-ah yes, Muirfinn cuts to the heart of the matter. We simply don't know why the Imperium is hellbent on this war, so further remedy is impossible."
[23:19] <Infinite_Ko_Loop> "That is a matter that I am not at liberty to discuss. However," Pausing to snap his fingers, a sheet of parchment appearing, "We do have terms that we would view as acceptable to end this war on."
[23:25] <Muirfinn> "Please, do go on."

[19:53] <Kotono> "You're still lucky enough to defy description," Balyss shakes her head, "You know who gets directly contacted by their patrons? High priests, saints, legends."
[19:53] <Ithea> "I'd like to think I qualify for the last one," Ithea says cheekily with a grin.
[20:01] <Kotono> "Yeah yeah," Dana waves a hand, "As Adrian would say, a kitty legend."
[20:03] <Ithea> "A legend's a legend!"
[20:09] <Kotono> Dana laughs at that, "No matter how you do it, a victory is a victory. Say," Speaking up now, turning her gaze over to Ithea once more, "Wonder how they're doing right now?"
[20:11] * Ithea shrugs. "The fact that they haven't called in the cavalry makes me hope things are going well, but it really is a wait-and-see situation, even if it's a bit boring," she answers.
[20:16] <Kotono> "Damn right it is," Dana grumbles, "God, I want to go kill something." Muttering darkly, "I bet if I were an archmage I'd be doing more of that, too."
[20:18] <Ithea> "You'd probably spend a lot of time in the library studying then, actually," Ithea immediately answers.
[20:20] <Kotono> "That or you'd spend hours in prayer," Balyss says, without missing a beat, "You're either a slave to spellbooks, the power in your blood, or the deity you serve." Crossing her arms under her chest, "We seek to become closer and closer to Selune, to think like her and act like her, in what small ways we can hope to comprehend."
[20:20] <Kotono> "Wise words, both of you," Tepen speaks up again, "The difficulties here are not light ones. Power from anything but your own two hands is never without a price. It may be one you are glad to bear, or suits you well, but it is still a price."
[20:33] <Kotono> ""Yeah, yeah," Dana waves a hand, "Say, Ithea?"
[20:33] <Ithea> "Hrm?"
[20:37] <Kotono> "Let's play a game or osmething to pass the damn time." Dana says, "Something. Anything."
[20:48] <Ithea> "You have any game suggestions?" Ithea asks.
[20:52] <Kotono> "Pass the question. I ask a question to someone, and then they answer and do the same, in a circle." After a beat, "It's either played by little prissy bitches at slumber parties or when you're all drunk. I think I'm sure as hell drunk on boredom, so it counts."
[20:56] * Ithea raises an eyebrow. "If the others don't mind, sure, why not? Though I suspect we'll need some boundaries with you in the game," Ithea says with a small snort.
[20:58] <Kotono> "I'll smite whomever gets stupid in the name of the moon," Balyss pipes up, "Gladly so."
[21:05] <Kotono> "Well then, you go first and choose someone, Ithea," Dana says, "Sicne you're all blessed and shit."
[21:10] * Ithea shrugs and asks Dana, "Uhm, what do you miss the most from back home, I guess?" Ithea asks the first thing to pop into her head. "You've talked a lot about things you dislike, king daddy being high up in that list, but do you miss anything?"
[21:49] <Kotono> "Julap trees," Dana says after a few moments of thought, "They're big and shady during the summer, and they have fruits similar to citruses. They're hard to grow, though."
[21:54] <Kotono> After a few moments, "What?" Dana looks around, "Were you all expecting something else?"
[21:54] <Ithea> "I wasn't really expecting anything specific," Ithea says with a shake of her head.
[21:57] <Ithea> "So I guess it's your turn to ask a question next, Dana," Ithea finally says.
[22:06] <Kotono> Turning to Balyss, "So what do you miss most about your home?"
[22:07] <Kotono> "A lot," Balyss says, "The people I left behind, friends and those even closer. Waking up in the late morning after a night of festivities. Tending to the prayer altar, keeping up on the faithful. Spending time visiting the old who are took decrepit to come to services."
[22:14] <Kotono> "Yeah," Dana mutters, "It's easy to get weak kneed when you start thinking like this. So make the next question better!"

[19:57] <Kotono> The parchment is taken, Arrel leaning forward, as if to read it. "Ah, blessed one," Pel Azandar snaps his fingers again, another parchment appearing before Arrel, "My apologies with not providing you your own." Meanwhile the parchment can be read by all. It looks to be a list of demands: Free guided travel and guarantees of safety and protection from the lillend within the Infinite Stair,
[19:57] <Kotono> a tribute of 500,000 drakkar, 'rights of the scholastic' and possession of the Chausmwyrm.
[20:00] * Muirfinn raises a scaled eyebrow. Protection FROM the lillend? "What are rights of the scholastic and the Chauswyrm?"
[20:03] <Kotono> Adrian reads it carefully, then again. But it is Kascha that answers, "It's a seldom used right by wyrms of the highest standing," she speaks up, "The right to study a mystical creature to learn and gain power from them. Well, not a right as much as something they insist on, and few can resist a great wyrm."
[20:04] <Kotono> "That is correct, wyrm wizard. You are well versed in your studies. The Chauswyrm is an artifact of interest to us," Going on from that, "One we would like to obtain from the lillend."
[20:07] <Muirfinn> "I see." Muirfinn says, quietly taking the bit about great wyrms with a grain of salt. "So this is less about conquest and more about acquiring knowledge and artifacts?"
[20:10] <Kotono> "Then why not negotiate with the lillend in the first place?" Adrian asks right after that, "Unless you thought you could push them back quickly and dictate terms in a short, successful war?"
[20:12] <Kotono> Pel Azandar smiles now, sharp, carnivorous teeth glimpsed. "Be that suggestion as it may, we feel these terms are entirely reasonable."
[20:15] <Kotono> "It's not our place to accept these," Adrian retorts, "We need time," he says, to which the dragonblooded inclines his head forward. "I will return in a half hour's time. Servants await outside if you need anything."
[20:18] <Muirfinn> After the room is cleared, Muirfinn says lowly, "Demanding and confident. I expected nothing less, though I am disappointed that I was right. The term 'tribute' does not sit well with me either. As for the rights of the scholastic strike me as somewhat insidious, and I have no idea what this Chauswyrm is."
[20:21] <Kotono> Quietly Kascha adds to that, "It's like a treaty you'd force on a defeated power."
[20:23] <Kotono> "Unless they're hoping to only get part of it, and that was the entire point of it. I mean, they'd probably know that attacking the Infinite Stair wouldn't stand and in time others would meddle against them. But if you can adroitly get what you wanted out of it, under a veneer of much more..." After that Adrian shrugs, "I've been reading the strategy and negotiation books in the library
[20:23] <Kotono> the last few days. You throw out many things, and only one of them is what you want. The rest are distractions, or bonuses if you get them."
[20:24] <Kotono> "Distract the dragon by threatening his hoard, while only wanting to pilfer one gem of it?" Arrel adds in, "That gives them a lot of credit. They may be nothing more than overambitious warmongers."
[20:26] <Muirfinn> "One they have little choice to accept. They are either arrogant or they have reason to believe they have won. Or they are fishing." Muirfinn shakes his head. "A dangerous game, either way. Making a play for the Infinite Stair will eventually draw attention from dieties who may well decide to forgo the sending of mortal agents."
[20:30] <Muirfinn> "The request for protection from the lillend of all things sets my shell askew as well.
[20:31] <Muirfinn> "
[20:31] <Kotono> "I'm guessing it's the artifact," Adrian goes on, "The Chauswyrm. The drakkar is money from the sounds of it, travel could be negotiated or managed in some other way I'm sure, and - I think that means the lillend protecting them while they are in the stair, not protection from them. Like bodyguard work. Escorts."
[20:33] <Kotono> "That assumes we're right. The motives are still hidden," Arrel pipes up, "They could merely be trying to make a name for themselves, and willing to cut and run - or they're desperate and hoping to negotiate a favorable, face saving settlement."
[20:33] <Muirfinn> "Something they likely won't get." Muirfinn snorts. "I'm in agreement that their likely goal is the Chauswyrm. We need to find out what it really is before we can make a decision on it."
[20:35] * Muirfinn nods. "It's possible that they are realizing that their tactics are attracting outside attention.  When it comes to the planes, there is always someone stronger than you are out there somewhere. They may be realizing that there could come a time when a group allied with the lillend may come to their aid and cause the Lannark to lose more than it can afford."
[20:39] <Kotono> "Let's make a counter offer," Adrian agrees, "See how it goes over. Two of them - the first without the artifact. If that goes over poorly, we make a second offer with it and see how it floats."
[20:42] * Muirfinn nods. "An immediate cease-fire and cessation of all armed incursions, in return for the asked-for tribute and the artifact, or the same and instead of the artifact, offer the rights?"
[20:54] <Kotono> "Right," Adrian nods, "This is assuming they're not going to betray an agreement, but if they do?" Shrugging, "I picked up a few thigns in Mechanus. Tell the right people this happened, and they'll have some pissy Inevitables looking into it. If we're really lucky, there will be some cosmic law about the lillend holding the Stair and they'll get really upset."
[20:59] <Muirfinn> "There's a thought." Muirfinn muses. "Vivantha mentioned that protecting the Stair was their sacred duty. Perhaps it is by divine mandate then?"
[20:59] <Kotono> "Worth looking into," Kascha says.
[21:00] <Kotono> "Right, let's do this," Adrian says, going to the door and speaking briefly outside of it. Pel Azandar returns, seating himself. "I trust you've done what you need to do?"
[21:02] <Muirfinn> "We have." Muirfinn nods, looking at Adrian.
[21:06] <Kotono> "We have," Adrina agrees, "We can negotiate a settlement of the tribute and the scolastic rights," Adrian says.
[21:07] <Kotono> Pel Azandar smirks slightly, "A counter offer - the scholastic rights and the Chauswyrm."
[21:10] <Kotono> "Let's get to this," Adrian goes on, "You want the Chauswyrm. If you wanted to study a lillend, there are infinitely easier ways than starting a war."
[21:12] <Muirfinn> Muirfinn quietky raises an eyebrow at the audacity.
[21:51] <Kotono> "You presume much," Pel Azandar retorts, a hint of frosty mist coming from his snout/nose.
[21:55] <Kotono> "I do," Adrian says, "But if you're willing to negotiate with us, you must think you'll get what you want from us or you're finding this is no easy war. So..."
[22:00] <Muirfinn> Muirfinn shakes his head. "We honestly want to prevent conflict from harming both sides of this war or yours. As a neutral party in this, we have come before you in the spirit of peace to end this without further bloodshed. Please assist us in this. We will likely be unable to get you both aspects of that request. Please choose the one you desire more."
[22:01] <Muirfinn> roll 1d20+35 diplo
[22:01] * Hatbot --> "Muirfinn rolls 1d20+35 diplo and gets 51." [1d20=16]
[22:08] <Kotono> "You are all perceptive," Pel Azandar says, "Very well. Bring us the Chauswyrm and you'll have peace."
[22:10] <Muirfinn> "Wonderful!" Muirfinn says, clapping his hands together once and using the momentum to stand. "If you have no further questions for us, we will take our leave of you then."
[22:17] <Kotono> "Indeed," Handshakes are exchanged, the party lead back out. The sky has darkened, the first few snowflakes of a coming storm falling. Your breath mists out around you, and Adrian says, "Open up the portal home."
[22:21] <Muirfinn> A portal to Ysgard is indeed opened!
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Corwin

[22:23] <Kotono> As the group banters, a portal appears outside Aurora! Adrian and company come through, "Thanks for waiting," hecalls, "But they were decidedly agreeable to negotiations. No violence - yet."
[22:24] <Ithea> "And what was the negotiation result?" Ithea asks.
[22:25] <Muirfinn> "They desire an artifact the Lillend posses. In return, they will cease conflict."
[22:25] <Kotono> "They want something the lillend have - Muirfinn's quicker with the words than I am today," Adrian agrees.
[22:25] * Muirfinn chuckles.
[22:29] <Muirfinn> "For now, I will contact Vivantha and see about acquiring the artifact...and what exactly it it used for. If it is something the Lannark should not have, then we will have to renegotiate."
[22:32] <Kotono> "Sorry about this, all of you," Adrian laughs a bit, "I owe all of you a favor. Ithea, if you have a chance, come by the tower later. I'll make up wasting your day like this."
[22:32] <Ithea> "What's the artifact that they were fighting over? Maybe one of us knows," Ithea asks.
[22:38] <Muirfinn> "Chauswyrm."
[22:40] <Ithea> ooc: knowledge check?
[22:40] <Kotono> OOC: K:A.
[22:40] <Ithea> roll d20+32+3 inspiration
[22:40] * Hatbot --> "Ithea rolls d20+32+3 inspiration and gets 39." [d20=4]
[22:40] <Ithea> ooc: ah, hatebot. Tepen can look it up in the library I guess.
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake
