#006: "Hey, a flat-chested Viera!"

[18:31] <Kotono> After a hobbling and shaken return to Serrendale, Autumn Crow bids the party farewell. She desires to return home and meditate on what she has seen. From there a few uncertain days pass, the fractured party resting up. Hilda Krim quietly returns to her duties, allowing the current matter to pass quietly. On the fourth day of this aimlessness, the two are in their inn room. Santos is currently
[18:31] <Kotono> asleep and it's the early afternoon. Morrie hears a rapping on the door.
[18:32] * Morrie will go and open the door, curious who is coming to them.
[18:33] <Kotono> Ebenezer is there, quickly coming in. "I heard, I heard." he says in way of greeting, "I ran into Miss Crow on her way out of the city. You have my deepest condolences."
[18:34] <Morrie> "I am still convinced we can rescue him." He says flatly, though it carries the weight of the burden. "How can I... we, help you?"
[18:36] <Kotono> "I think she feels the same way," Ebenezer agrees, "Two things. First of all, I have a job for you. Second of all, I have an offer. Succinctly on both, I need an escort from here to Galimond. The research materials I need are said to be there - but that's getting ahead of myself. The other is that I have a few friends that may help replenish your ranks."
[18:37] * Morrie blinks, but nods. "I am certain Santos would approve, were he not... indisposed." He gestures at the unconcious one.
[18:38] <Kotono> "Ah. He's quite deeply asleep. The tragedy must be weighing on him." Clearing his throat after, coughing into his hand, "Ahem." Stepping back outside a moment and calling, "Lehko and Mycol, could you come on over here?"
[18:40] * Lehko enters quickly, stepping out of the door way and glancing around the room quickly, but not lowering his hood, though his eyes shine a faint golden color.
[18:41] <Lehko> "Hello. Name's Lehko. Engineering's my game!"
[18:41] * Lehko cheerfully greets, if speaking a bit quickly.
[18:42] <Mycol> "Greetings, Flesh-man!" the voice is a high-pitched gurgle. It comes from a squat, maybe four and a half feet tall, talking mushroom. His face is on his "stem" and his "cap" is a half-foot-long orange cone. Beads hang from piercings around its base, like a mariachi hat.
[18:43] <Mycol> "I am told you are very important flesh-men. Ebenezer says this. I am glad to be meeting you again, forever."
[18:43] <Mycol> It nods enthusiastically. >_>
[18:43] * Lehko cocks his head at the oddly phrased greeting, but eventually nods along.
[18:44] <Morrie> "...You certainly do know some interesting people."
[18:44] <Lehko> "Yes, Ebenezer says you need some help. Outside of the city."
[18:44] * Morrie is smiling, though his words might be neutral.
[18:44] <Kotono> "Oh yes, they're quite important. Especially with what they helped me find," The black mage continues, "They're both good. Lehko is handy with a gun and Mycol's an accomplished time mage." Coughing into his hand, "If we had leisure, a side trip to those black shards would be worthwhile."
[18:47] * Lehko nods his head, focused intently enough on Ebenezer's words that he doesn't notice his hood falling down, revealing shaggy sandy blonde hair with black tipped bobcat type ears, bright green eyes with black tribal paint under his eyes, on his cheeks, and chin.
[18:48] <Kotono> After a few moments of silence, "My, he's sleeping through this," Ebenezer observes, "Did he have too much to drink last night?"
[18:48] * Mycol is still nodding enthusiastically. He tips his cap up from his eyes a little. ....did he just move his own head?
[18:49] * Lehko glances over at the sleeping body curiously, creeping over to sleeping person to stare at him curiously.
[18:49] <Kotono> He looks to be out cold. Snoozing away, lost to the world.
[18:49] <Lehko> "Hmm.. Looks like a lithe sort. Tough too. Fast and strong?"
[18:50] <Morrie> "I think he might use more words to describe his skills, but that summarizes it."
[18:51] * Lehko glances back at the awake member of the duo, the movement making him realize his hood is down, his eyes widening and pupils diliting momemtarily, before he nervously checks for windows and moves back awary from the door line of sight.

[18:54] * Lehko stares at Morrie, completely serious, his pupils narrowing.

[18:57] * Santos yawns at this time, rubbing his eyes as he stands up. "What's all the noise, Morrie? Did Autumn come back?" he mutters sleepily.
[18:57] * Lehko snaps his head to look back down at the now awakening person.

[18:59] <Morrie> "No, but Ebenezer did. He brought some friends."
[18:59] <Kotono> "Exactly, and a job!" Ebenezer says, "How do yo ufeel about a trip to Galimond?"
[19:00] * Santos blinks and looks at Lehko. "Hey, a flat-chested Viera! I thought all of you girls were well endowed!" he immediately says, as he looks around, not seeing any other friends with Ebenezer, only a stuffed mushroom lying on the ground. "What other friends?"
[19:01] * Santos pauses, and turns to Lehko, "Not that there's anything wrong with being flat, or anything, of course."
[19:01] <Mycol> "He awakens! He awakens!"
[19:01] * Lehko narrows his eyes, his pupils thinning further, but responds calmly.

[19:01] <Lehko> "I'm supposed to be flat chested. I'm male."
[19:01] * Mycol begins gyrating weirdly.

[19:02] <Lehko> "I'm... going to do my best to block out the last few seconds.."

[19:02] * Santos blinks and stares at the mushroom, then back at the catboy, then back at the mushroom. "Okay..." he says slowly, then turns to Ebenezer. "What. The. Fuck?"

[19:03] <Santos> "You're okay with this?" he asks, turning to Morrie, looking just a bit incredulous.
[19:03] <Lehko> "I'm.. I'm not sure *I'm* okay with this."
[19:04] * Lehko bluts out a bit nerviously.
[19:04] * Mycol looks dejected.
[19:04] <Kotono> "They're fine friends!" Ebenezer says ,coughing into his hand, "Say, we'll leave tomorrow morning at the southern gate?"

[19:04] <Morrie> "Very well."
[19:05] <Santos> "...whatever, as long as the pay's good, I'll do anything, especially if they can carry their weight," the ninja finally says, shaking his head.
[19:05] * Lehko looks back at Sanatos and responds in a dead serious tone.
[19:06] <Lehko> "I'll shoot whatever you need to me to shoot, as long it gets me out of the city."
[19:06] <Mycol> "Oh, yes. You are always seeing, Flesh-man! But I am always seeing -more-. There is no fear when one can see how time itself works."
[19:06] * Lehko pulls his lever action rifle out from under his coat and chambers a round.
[19:07] <Santos> "You piss off some girlfriends?" Santos asks, looking curious now at the Viera.
[19:08] * Lehko looks into the distance, his gaze going vacant and pupils dilitaing fully.
[19:08] <Santos> "...huh," he mutters, seeing that look on his face, and interpreting that as an affirmative. "I think I'm both jealous and hateful of you now."
[19:09] <Morrie> "Hm... it looks like I'll need to take up healing duties for us for a while."
[19:11] * Lehko looks at Santos with the same gaze.
[19:11] <Lehko> "Don't ever be jealous of that. Ever."
[19:12] * Santos grins like the rogue he is. "Lend me the girlfriends for a while, and I'm sure I won't be."
[19:13] * Lehko keeps up his distant stare, looking Santos in the eyes like a shell-shocked soldier.
[19:13] <Lehko> "If I thought you could slow them down, I'd throw you at them myself."
[19:13] <Kotono> Thus an evening passes without incident. The next day dawns bright, full of sunshine and not a cloud in sight. Ebenezer awaits the party, "Are all of you ready? Hopefully the monsters will leave us alone since we're traveling away from the mountains."
