[18:32] <Kotono> ----
[18:33] <Kotono> The next morning dawns. You meet with the familiar ogre once more. On the table is a great big heap of raw ribs. "This here is brachiosaur ribs. Make them up right."
[18:34] <Lehko> "Do you have barbecue sauce?"
[18:37] <Lehko> "Or, do you have a specific recipe you want for this?"
[18:37] <Kotono> "There's ingredients near the fire," The familiar ogre replies, "You'll have most of the day to get these right. Just make them good - if you're good enough they should work out on their own."
[18:37] * Lehko shrugs and moves to collect ingredients for making barbecue ribs!
[18:38] <Lehko> roll 2d6+5 Cooking!
[18:38] * Hatbot --> "Lehko rolls 2d6+5 Cooking! and gets 10." [2d6=3, 2]
[18:38] <Morrie> Before the ogre leaves, Morrie will speak up. "Do you have a name we can call you by?" He will address the currently nameless ogre.
[18:40] <Kotono> "Ventos," He answers back, "Now get to work. We'll talk if you succeed."

[18:41] <Lehko> OOC: Spending 1 destiny points to make barbecue ribs of destiny.
[18:41] <Kotono> OOC: Okay, roll another d6 then.
[18:41] <Kotono> OOC: Don't do a Morrie on destiny.
[18:42] <Lehko> roll 1d6 destiny ribs
[18:42] * Hatbot --> "Lehko rolls 1d6 destiny ribs and gets 1." [1d6=1]
[18:42] <Kotono> OOC: OH NO, YOU DID A MORRIE!
[18:42] <Santos> ooc: Here's hoping 11 is enough!
[18:42] <Lehko> OOC: Spending 1 destiny points to make BBQ ribs of destiny.
[18:42] <Lehko> roll 1d6 destiny ribs
[18:42] * Hatbot --> "Lehko rolls 1d6 destiny ribs and gets 4." [1d6=4]
[18:42] <Kotono> OOC: Post the total destiny expenditure in the loot topic.
[18:43] <Lehko> OOC: Done.

[18:45] <Kotono> The day passes in work. The ribs are sauced, braised, brushed and cooked! It's into the afternoon when they're at last done! Lehko feels like he's about to keel over, but great racks of brachiosaur ribs are ready! Ventos and Hesalus enter. The latter goes to the ribs and sniffs them thrice, before taking one. He takes a big bite, chewing slowly...and then, he emits a massive burp! Green healing-light spreads from his mouth, a sense of restoration passing over the party! He turns to Ventos and nods once before leaving the room.
[18:47] * Lehko leans against the counter and mops sweat off of his face with a hand towel.
[18:47] <Lehko> "Today.. Today was an off day. Your damn ogre beds kept me up all night."
[18:47] * Lehko grumbles.
[18:48] <Morrie> "I'm sorry I couldn't be of much help." Not that the apology really helped lessen the heroic effort that went into that food...
[18:48] <Kotono> "Guess you have the real goods," Ventos finally confesses, going to sit down. "So what all is it that you want now?" He sits back, one arm cocked over the back of his chair.
[18:48] * Mycol shrugs
[18:48] * Lehko waves it off.
[18:48] <Kotono> OOC: Loot post for the victory.

[18:49] <Lehko> "I'm.. Pretty worn out. I'll let the others lead the negotiations, but I certainly want, at least, free access and trade."
[18:51] <Santos> "I'd like to explore your city, I think. Lehko has the right idea with the whole free trade thing," Santos says with a rub of his chin.
[18:52] <Morrie> He considers for a moment. "We ought to ask about what has spurred us on this journey. They may have access to knowledge we do not."
[18:52] <Kotono> A bit of paper is passed over, "Here's a list of the shops," he adds. OOC: Ogreheim shops are posted.
[18:53] <Morrie> "I also have a personal request." He continues. "You all seemed to be commanding some monsters earlier... if any of the monsters or yourselves know any techniques... you might know it as Blue Magic, I would be indebted to you if I could witness it."
[18:54] <Kotono> Suddenly Ventos chuckles, "Get up and stand over there, away from us," he says, gesturing. "The wolves don't know much besides that they're best off if they listen to us. Get a dog when it's a pup and you can teach it. Works for a wolf too, if you do it right."
[18:55] * Lehko perks up at mention of the dogs.
[18:55] <Lehko> "I want one. One of your dogs."
[18:56] * Lehko nods and chuckles at the thought of a cat-person owning a dog. As it should be.
[18:56] <Santos> "He'll forever think of you as a renewable chew toy, you know."
[18:56] <Lehko> "Or wolves or whatever."
[18:56] <Kotono> "You mean a wolf. We have a few dogs, but only bitches to occasionally breed into the bloodlines. The Great One made sure we knew that." He shrugs, "Got some gil? You can buy one."
[18:56] * Lehko nods again.
[18:57] * Lehko raises an eyebrow.
[18:57] * Morrie will move over as he was instructed.
[18:57] * Santos joins Morrie.
[18:57] <Lehko> "I just made all those things for you and you want full price?"

[18:58] <Kotono> Ventos pauses, fishing out that black bomb again. He flicks the fuse, which lights aflame! "Catch!" he calls, hurling it right at Morrie! OOC: More.
[18:58] <Kotono> roll 1d100
[18:58] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 1d100 and gets 1." [1d100=1]
[18:58] <Mycol> OOC: Welp. He's dead.
[18:58] <Lehko> OOC: negotiation check for the wolf price, after?
[18:58] <Kotono> But before it gets far, the bomb suddenly EXPLODES, hitting everyone in the room with a massive burst of fire!
[18:59] <Kotono> roll 2d6+48 fire damage, won't knock anyone out so don't bother adjusting HP. Just ow.
[18:59] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 2d6+48 fire damage, won't knock anyone out so don't bother adjusting HP. Just ow. and gets 57." [2d6=3, 6]
[18:59] * Lehko rolls across the ground from the blast, but manages to draw his pistol and aims at Ventos!
[18:59] <Kotono> In the aftermath of fiery pain and ringing eardrums, Morrie can pick up one thing (besides the fact that OUCH) from that - so THAT'S how you do a Goblin Bomb! OOC: Gained Goblin Bomb via observe.
[19:00] <Morrie> "...Does it always... explode like that?" He coughs, recovering from the... excitement.
[19:00] <Kotono> Ventos was knocked out of his chair, lying on the ground. He coughs several times, "Fuck!" he snaps, getting up, "You have to be careful with them. The fuses go early like that sometimes."
[19:01] <Mycol> "WHAT?"
[19:01] * Lehko grunts and sighs, flopping against the ground fully and staring up.
[19:01] <Morrie> He nods, still coughing. "Thank you for the experience... regardless."
[19:01] <Kotono> "I SAID THE FUSES GO EARLY SOMETIMES!" Ventos bellow, thwapping the side of his head. He gives Lehko an annoyed glance as he gets up, doing the same.
[19:02] * Lehko growls at the ogre.
[19:02] <Mycol> "Thank you! I made it myself!"
[19:02] <Lehko> "Don't glare at me like that. *You* just blew us up without any warning."
[19:02] <Santos> "That's not a practical way to learn, you two," Santos says as he figures out what's going on, and looking annoyed.
[19:03] <Morrie> "You'd be suprised, actually..." Either way, he'd call on the spirits of the sun outside to heal everyone after the mishap.
[19:03] * Lehko holsters his pistol and rolls over, getting up.

[19:04] <Kotono> The ogre returns to his chair, now sans a backrest. He sits in it anyway, thwapping the side of his head a few more times. It draws a puff of soot out, "Aaah. Anyway, so you want a wolf? Speaking of, why are you poking around the mountains, anyway? Most of your kind stay away."
[19:05] * Lehko gets a gleam in his eye at the mention of the wolf.
[19:05] <Lehko> "I do... For the right price."
[19:05] <Morrie> "Ah, right." He nods. "We should probably explain..."
[19:05] <Lehko> roll 2d6+4 negotiation
[19:05] * Hatbot --> "Lehko rolls 2d6+4 negotiation and gets 11." [2d6=6, 1]
[19:06] <Kotono> "Yeah, I know a guy and I'll put in a word for you," Ventos finally says, "It still cost you a bit. 'bout 200 gil for a wolf, 400 for a grey wolf. They won't sell you a werewolf. They're property of the militia only."
[19:06] <Mycol> "Aren't Werewolves... uh... Sapient?"
[19:06] <Morrie> "We're currently looking for ways to become stronger. We've... encountered some very powerful monsters and demons... and are trying to find ways to defeat them. Does the name 'Lucavi' mean anything to you? Or 'Lich?'" He figures if nothing else, the ogres may be more familiar with the name Lich, since they live underground, after all.
[19:07] <Kotono> "No, they're the green wolves you saw. They heal fast and have poisonous bites," he says, "Don't know what ideas your world has about them."
[19:08] <Kotono> "Doesn't to me. Some of the ogre magi are oral storytellers. They might, they know all the histories." He says.
[19:08] <Mycol> "My kind doesn't get out much."
[19:08] * Mycol shrugs
[19:08] <Morrie> He nods. "Very well, we shall speak to them then."
[19:08] <Lehko> "No werewolf? Nothing can be done about that? No one I can talk to about or anything?"
[19:09] <Morrie> "You might have to cook again."
[19:09] <Santos> "You could join the ogre militia," Santos suggests with a snort.
[19:09] <Kotono> "The Great One said 'keep the werewolves close'." he says, "So we keep them close."
[19:09] * Lehko grunts.
[19:10] <Mycol> "Might I ask what the Ogres know of the Mushboom people? If anything?"
[19:10] <Mycol> "We are not the largest tribe."
[19:10] <Lehko> "So, no additional aid I could give to get some credit towards a werewolf? Nothing I could do at all?"
[19:10] <Lehko> "Or rather, who be best to talk to about it?"

[19:11] <Kotono> OOC: Okay, so what's y'all's agenda in Ogreheim now?
[19:11] <Lehko> OOC: Wolf of some type, maybe lay some ground work for civil trading?
[19:11] <Kotono> OOC: Okay. I'd like comments from each of you so I don't miss anything.
[19:11] <Morrie> OOC: Going to go try and find some Ogre Magi to question about history.
[19:12] <Morrie> OOC: Specifically what they're looking for and know about.
[19:13] <Santos> ooc: nothing for me, I don't actually want anything. I'd probably just follow Morrie around, or see if anybody knows anything about Legerman and seeing if there might have been anything to Wichel's leading us to this area or just a random place.
[19:13] <Lehko> OOC: Also see if there's any side work to improve relations or what-not. Like our contracts from the party.
[19:14] <Kotono> OOC: Wolf, laying some groundwork down for trading, find an ogre magi oral historian for info, legermain info and looking around, side quests for improving relations, ask ogres about the mushbooms. Anything else?
[19:15] <Lehko> OOC: Not off the top of my head. Something may pop up later?
[19:15] <Kotono> OOC: Okay then. First of all, any purchases from the shops right away, in case of combat or trouble this session? You have a chance to grab things now.
[19:16] <Lehko> OOC: Not for me.
[19:16] <Morrie> OOC: Doesn't look like it for me either.
[19:16] <Mycol> OOC: I'm good
[19:18] <Kotono> OOC: WAiting on Santos here. Santos?
[19:18] <Santos> ooc: nothing for me
[19:19] <Morrie> OOC: He'd probably get the Tier 4 weapon if he could afford it!
[19:19] <Santos> ooc: I was slightly tempted by the buster sword, but I'll pass and save up for a tier 3 weapon.
[19:19] <Kotono> OOC: Okay then. We'll start with the wolf.

[19:21] <Kotono> From there, the party is lead to a mid-section terrace. Here a huge, fenced in yard is full of piles of rocks and little caves. All about it are wolves of all type - at play or sleeping, mostly. A small building is besides it. As you are lead to it, the building old and rather unremarkable save for being decorated with purple stones, "No one. It's the will of the Great One. To go against his
[19:21] <Kotono> teachings is the greatest treason."
[19:22] * Lehko grunts, leaving it be... for now.
[19:22] <Lehko> "Since these are your wolves, what can you tell me about them? What should I look for?"
[19:23] * Lehko inspects the wolves with his own eye...
[19:23] <Kotono> Inside is a plain, wide open room. It's rather tidy and sitting at a table is an ogre. This one is a little smaller than Ventos, as said ogre remarks, "My friend here is looking to buy a wolf. A quality one," he adds. OOC: Got a relevant skill or anything like that?
[19:23] <Lehko> OOC: nature or awareness check?
[19:24] <Kotono> "Humans, a walking cat and...is that a mobile mushroom?" The ogre's voice is heavy and deep, "The Great One's beard, Ventos!" OOC: Nature's fine.
[19:24] <Lehko> roll 2d6+4 nature
[19:24] * Hatbot --> "Lehko rolls 2d6+4 nature and gets 16." [2d6=6, 6]
[19:24] <Lehko> OOC: Fuck yes. About time.
[19:26] <Kotono> Lehko goes over to the fence and takes a look. One catches his eye - a grey wolf. It's a fine specimen, all lean muscle and shiny coat. It radiates power, the other wolves showing signs of submission as it walks by.
[19:26] <Kotono> "Just do it," Ventos says shortly, "If it bothers you, go take it up with Hesalus. He signed off on it."
[19:26] * Lehko holds his hand out to it, hoping it's amiable to him...
[19:28] <Mycol> "More than mobile."
[19:28] * Mycol dances.
[19:29] * Mycol Break dances.
[19:29] * Mycol SLAM dances.
[19:29] <Mycol> "More. Than. Mobile."
[19:29] <Kotono> The wolf comes over, sniffing Lehko's hand. Meanwhile the smaller ogre gives Mycol a glance, "What's the world coming to?" he shakes his head. He gives Mycol another look as he dances, torn between surprise and disbelief. Tearing his gaze away, "Like that one? It's..." He turns back to Mycol, staring. "400 gil. Yes."
[19:30] <Lehko> "Four hundred, eh? What's the chance that's not as solid of a price as you make it out to be?"
[19:30] <Lehko> roll 2d6+4 Negotiation
[19:30] * Hatbot --> "Lehko rolls 2d6+4 Negotiation and gets 11." [2d6=3, 4]
[19:30] * Mycol apologizes to Morrie, who got bumped a lot.
[19:32] <Kotono> Slowly the ogre reaches up and rubs his forehead. "Listen here, catman. One of the ogre magi's vouching for you. Cheating you would be seen as cheating Hesalus. 400's more than a fair price - that's my best damned grey wolf."
[19:32] <Morrie> He just smiles and shrugs it off. "One day, we'll have to visit your people, Mycol."
[19:32] * Lehko sighs.
[19:32] <Lehko> "Alright, fair enough, I suppose. 400 it is."
[19:32] * Lehko fishes out 400 gil and hands it over."
[19:34] <Lehko> OOC: Noted in items and sheet updated.
[19:36] <Kotono> The gate into the area is opened and a whistle is sounded! The ogre points at your wolf and it comes over, sitting before the ogre. It points at the wolf and then Lehko several times before dusting his hands off. "It's done. He'll obey you." OOC: Loot post.
[19:37] * Lehko drops a hand on the wolf's head and gives him a friendly scratch with a grin.

[19:38] <Kotono> OOC: Okay then, ready to move onto the next thing?
[19:38] <Morrie> OOC: Sho nuff
[19:39] <Lehko> OOC: Yup.

[19:40] <Kotono> From there, you are lead down to the final terrace. Here the buildings loom, huge and many stories. Each is unique - and you are taken to one that is like log after log of stone stacked on each other, a single open archway leading into it. Just before you go in Ventos pauses, "If you offend any of the ogre magi within, you'll be in trouble," he warns shortly.
[19:44] <Morrie> He nods to the warning.
[19:46] <Kotono> Inside are great, largely interconnected suites of rooms. They are rambling, luxurious and multicolored via stones and ogre-sized. In time you come to an ogre sitting on a gigantic divan. It is an ogre magi. At its feet sleeps a green werewolf, snoozing away. "These outsiders have questions," Ventos says, stepping away.
[19:48] <Kotono> The ogre magi overlooks the party before uttering a single word, "Ask."
[19:49] <Morrie> "What can you tell us of the fiend, Lich?" He will begin.
[19:52] <Kotono> Silence greets you for just a moment, then in a booming voice, "Lo, did the Autarch of Flame and the Deathless Wizard do battle! I, Sozo, so declare that I saw the incantation Blizzara called on! Yet as the sun sets and inevitably rises, did the cloak of the Autarch of Flame absorb it! He then cast aside his cloak and did a dreadful tornado of flame burn the Deathless Lich!
[19:52] <Kotono> Yet when all seemed lost, the King of the Krakens came forth in a tsunami of water and forced the Autarch back! So I sing to one and all, let it be remembered until the stones crumble and the earth weeps!"
[19:54] <Morrie> He blinks. He looks at the others for a moment. "Have we heard that one before? Autarch?"
[19:55] * Santos shrugs?
[19:56] <Mycol> "I do not believe so"
[19:56] <Morrie> He turns back. "Please tell us more about the Autarch of Flame."

[20:00] <Kotono> "The Autarch of Flame leads the Blighted Despot, the Drowned King and the Empress of the Winds. Listen to my testament, brothers and sisters!" His voice booms as he comes alive, throwing his hands to the heavens, "For they are led by ultimate hatred that can only be pierced by a man that walks in the light. Remember this, for it shall return to our world and bring calamity. For as long as hate exists, the God of the Second Moon will return! On that day go forth to the resting place hidden in plain sight and take the crystal!"
[20:02] <Morrie> He blinks, taken a bit back by the sudden outburst. "We had learned before that there was a war.... so the Autarch and his legion on one side, with the Deathless Wizard on the other... hm..."
[20:02] <Kotono> "So it is said by the oral history," The ogre magi says, going silent after.
[20:02] <Morrie> "Great magi, what do you know of the Lucavi? Do they serve under these, or are they another part in the great story, seperate from the others?"
[20:05] <Kotono> "The 13th of 12 is no more. For when the Great One came to the deep places he found it laired amid all of monsterkind. This creature called itself the Lucavi of the Stars that are Not, Commader of the Beast of the Zodiac. Great was the battle between the two, but neither could triumph! So the Great One lured him to the surface and took one of the great ships of the sky! The Falcon was loaded with the gift of explosives and cast down onto the Lucavi! Greatly did the earth tremble at this, but the Lucavi was no more. Once again the wisdom of the Great One won the day. Remember his lesson well, brothers and sisters! When force is not enough, apply greater force yet! In his sacred words, make the explosions bigger!"
[20:07] <Morrie> He just sort of stares at that. "I... ...um... ...hm."
[20:07] * Santos looks dazed at all that information, and clears his throat after shaking his head. "So, hey, you ever hear of the bandit king Legerman?"
[20:08] * Santos hopes this doesn't devolve to poetics and shit like that, or he's going to have to walk out on the ogre.

[20:09] <Kotono> The only answer to that is a shake of the ogre's head.
[20:10] <Santos> "Well then..."
[20:10] * Santos looks to Morrie to see if he has anything else.
[20:10] <Morrie> "A final question." He clears his throat. "We have been bonded with the Icemaiden, Shiva, and the Earthen Warrior, Titan. Do your stories give any insight into where we may locate others of these great warriors?"
[20:11] <Morrie> "I do not know how you refer to them, but I would assume their names are the same, regardless of our differing histories."
[20:12] <Kotono> Suddenly the ogre magi's attention is like Morrie like a laser. He gestures at Ventos and he comes forth. The ogre magi whispers into his ear, before Ventos straights. "The ogre magi would like a demonstration of your pact."
[20:13] <Morrie> He blinks, then looks over at Lehko and Mycol! "Can you two... have them appear like they did before? I think that should be sufficient."
[20:13] * Mycol shrugs
[20:13] * Mycol wiggles.
[20:14] * Lehko shrugs.
[20:14] <Lehko> "I think that's more up to them than it is to us."
[20:14] <Mycol> "C'mon. Rise and shine."

[20:14] <Kotono> The ground lightly shakes as rocks fly up! Atop Mycol's head Titan appears! "You rang?" he rumbles.
[20:14] * Lehko sends a request to Shiva. (OOC: PM)
[20:15] <Kotono> In a swirl of snowflakes Shiva appears on Lehko's shoulder, "Yes?" she asks coolly.
[20:15] <Mycol> "He's Bigger when I need him to be"
[20:15] <Lehko> "This ogre magi wants to speak to you. You showed interest in them earlier, so..."
[20:15] * Lehko gestures to the magi.
[20:16] <Kotono> The ogre magi again whispers to Ventos, "Your summons can go, the proof has been given and the stories sing of how this fatigues you." he says, the two vanishing as there's more whispering. "Ifrit is below. But the way is not simple."
[20:17] <Morrie> "It usually isn't, with us..." He shakes his head.
[20:18] <Lehko> "Nope. Never."
[20:18] * Lehko agrees with Morrie.
[20:20] <Kotono> More whispering before Ventos replies, "The way ahead is sealed, for it walks along the shores the magma seas. Shiva is needed to survive."
[20:21] <Santos> "My primary weapon would probably suck if you guys are thinking of chasing after this," Santos says, pointing at his saber.
[20:21] <Mycol> "I have a backup, but you might want to pick up a spare."
[20:21] <Lehko> "I think you can find something around here to use, Santos."
[20:22] <Morrie> "I think we should go, but perhaps finish our business up here, first." He nods.

[20:22] <Kotono> Yet more whispering. "When you wish to go, we shall unseal the way. Be prepared, it is said to be a long trip."
[20:22] <Lehko> "Mmm.. I think we can do with some preparation before we walk through lava."
[20:24] <Morrie> "I agree. Thank you for speaking to us." He nods and will start backing out.
[20:24] <Kotono> OOC: Okay, anything else with him or was that all the questions?
[20:24] <Lehko> OOC: I got nothing.
[20:24] <Santos> ooc: I'm done.
[20:25] <Morrie> OOC: I can't think of anything right now.
[20:29] <Kotono> OOC: Okay, what's next. Mycol, who did you want to ask about the mushbooms?
[20:30] <Mycol> OOC: Whoever.
[20:31] <Mycol> OOC: This one in charge is a good opportunity.
[20:31] <Mycol> "Sir, if I may"
[20:32] <Mycol> "Have... uh...  will you have had any prior contact with my people? My tribe tends to be insular, but times are changing again and always"

[20:33] <Kotono> There is a pause before, "Beyond the field of the sun and the plain of the moon likes the land of the mushboom! Be known of them, brothers and sisters! They are of the earth and of magic! Know of them as you know of the others and do not forget, for the Great One said that knowledge is power!"
[20:34] <Mycol> "That's... uh... well, heartening, I suppose."
[20:34] <Mycol> "And. We. Agree."
[20:34] * Mycol dances a little.

[20:37] <Kotono> OOC: Okay, the rest is that idea for sidequesty stuff for trading and relations. Do y'all have anything in mind there?
[20:39] <Morrie> OOC: Try talking to a shopkeeper? Or... I dunno who's even really "in charge" in Ogreheim.
[20:39] <Kotono> OOC: It's a complicated question that would require some exposition.
[20:39] <Kotono> OOC: We can go talking to a shopkeep if you like.
[20:41] <Morrie> OOC: Well, then let's try that.
[20:41] <Morrie> OOC: They might be able to tell us 'hey we can't do that until you get permission from X' or something.
[20:41] <Mycol> OOC: I think I've established that the most valuable "normal" resource that the Mushbooms have is Peat.
[20:41] <Mycol> OOC: Lots and lots of peat.

[20:44] <Kotono> You head to the shop From the Earth. Row after row of elemental rings are on display. Here a female ogre stands, almost as tall as a male. It's just as muscled and wears the same loincloth and ripped shirt. It sits behind one of the counters, idly rolling a set of dice. "Welcome to From the Earth," she begins, "Eh? Upper worlders?! In my shop?!"
[20:44] <Morrie> "Greetings to you." He nods, taking note of the fire protection ring.
[20:44] <Mycol> OOC: (It's more likely than you think)
[20:45] <Santos> 'Eh? Female ogres? They exist?' Santos thinks, but wisely doesn't say.
[20:45] * Mycol dances.
[20:45] <Mycol> "Greetings, jeweler."
[20:47] * Lehko spares the ogre a grin before going back to rubbing his new wolf behind the ears.
[20:48] <Kotono> "G'day." She says, sounding just a bit dazed. But a quick recovery follows, "So can I interest you in some rings?"
[20:50] <Morrie> "We very well might." He rubs his arm thoughtfully. "Tell me... how does trade work here in your city? You do not do much with the 'upper world,' I take it?"
[20:52] <Kotono> "We trade or use gil," she answers, "Is it like that above, too?"
[20:53] <Morrie> "It is." He nods. "We were hoping to open new sources of trade here, as it seems like we are the first in a great while to pass these halls."
[20:53] * Mycol chuckles.
[20:56] <Mycol> "I can't officially speak for my people, but they trust my word. When I tell them that you gave us hospitality, they will respond with hospitality."

[20:56] <Kotono> "Is it worth it?" she asks, "Don't you all have your own rings to buy already?"
[20:57] <Mycol> "If I say you are interested in trade, then they will try to trade"
[20:58] <Morrie> "I have never seen rings enchanted with these properties before." He shakes his head. "So... these are quite unique."
[20:59] <Mycol> "Novelty sells with my tribe, and, from what I can tell, with the fl---the humans."
[21:00] <Mycol> "Probably with the hairy flesh, too."
[21:00] <Mycol> "You'd be surprised how many people would buy something just for a different culture's craftsmanship."
[21:00] <Mycol> "You'd. Be. Surprised."
[21:00] * Mycol wiggles
[21:03] <Kotono> "Hm. I could make a lot of money," she murmurs, "Sales are stagnant since rings get passed down in families."
[21:04] <Lehko> "And this is why I wanted to negotiate an open trade deal."
[21:04] * Lehko nods.
[21:04] <Morrie> "Think of how surprised you were to see us. That is probably how others would react, as well." He nods to Lehko.
[21:05] <Kotono> "Hmm." Considering more, "Do you upper worlders have much money to spend?"
[21:06] <Lehko> "There can be. For fair prices."
[21:07] <Kotono> "Well, can you prove it?" she banters back, "You're upper worlders. Could you afford a ring?"
[21:08] <Lehko> "That depends on how fair of a price you offer."
[21:08] <Morrie> "Absolutely." He nods.

[21:08] <Morrie> OOC: Just kidding, scratch that.
[21:10] <Kotono> OOC: Make a negotiation check here, Lehko.
[21:11] <Lehko> roll 2d6+4 negotiation
[21:11] <Kobot> Lehko rolled 2d6+4 negotiation --> [ 2d6=3 ]{7}

[21:13] <Kotono> "A thousand gil for one of the standard rings," she says, "A upper worlder like you could afford that, couldn't you?"
[21:15] <Lehko> roll 2d6+7 Mercantile
[21:15] <Kobot> Lehko rolled 2d6+7 Mercantile --> [ 2d6=4 ]{11}
[21:17] <Kotono> "Or...maaaybe 900," she finally says.
[21:17] * Lehko humms.
[21:18] <Lehko> "That's... not *too* bad, I suppose."
[21:18] * Lehko looks at the others.
[21:18] <Lehko> "Which one are you guys interested in?"
[21:18] <Morrie> "I would think the fire protecting ring would make the most sense, considering where we are going." He offers.
[21:19] * Lehko nods and motions towards it.
[21:19] <Kotono> A red ring is taken out. "900 gil," she says, "Looks good, doesn't it? It shields from fire."

[21:20] <Lehko> OOC: Who's buying this, BTW? For money deduction purposes.
[21:21] <Kotono> OOC: Good question.
[21:21] <Morrie> OOC: I can do it.
[21:22] <Kotono> OOC: Okay then, post the expense.
[21:22] <Santos> ooc: I'm saving up my money for tier 3 weapons, so I'd pass.

[21:22] <Kotono> The gil is given and the ring is passed over! "If all of you upper worlders are like that, I'll make enough to get a new house!" she says, perking up as only a giant ogre of muscles, torn clothes and destruction can!
[21:23] <Lehko> "Good luck? If you do, remember who started you towards it!"
[21:25] <Kotono> OOC: Okay, that's about all I have. We can begin next time with the beginning of your trip to Ifrit. Two points now. First of all, get any prep, purchases and so on and so forth done over the week. Remember you're going to a fiery place so bear that in mind.
<Cidward> God willing, we'll all meet in Buttquest 2: The Quest for More Butts.
