[18:01] <@Kotono> The next day is a loss - rainy and storms, no progress at all. It's the sort of day that you spend around the fire telling tales. The steady patter of rain is joined by the occasional flurry of thunderclaps. The party is currently relaxing in the afternoon...OOC: Go ahead and set yourselves up real quick.
[18:02] * Gildas is enjoying the quiet day by a window, watching the rain and doing some self-reflection.
[18:03] * Feather is working on a plate of chicken and ham sandwiches, his mind on the work still left to be done.
[18:04] <@Porridge> "And that's when the bear said 'You're obviously not here for the hunting!'" Porridge ends his story with a laugh, doing his part to entertain the older children with off colour jokes.
[18:08] <@Kotono> The rain falls. It's a steady rain, letting Gildas reflect in peace. Feather finds the sandwiches are quite good as his mind roams the rest of the work on the tavern. The gaggle of older half elves giggles, followed by, "Porridge!" The Missus sticks her head into the room, a pile of laundry glimpsed in her arms. "No off-color jokes in the house!" Robert's near the fire, dosing in front of it.
[18:08] <@Kotono> He occasionally lapses into a snore. Brutes is whittling wood in a corner, a few of the younger half-elves watching him. Rashen is off doing something or another, probably eating. Hylath is sitting before the opposite window to Gildas, looking out at the rain as well. He clears his throat, "Ahem. Have any of you ever heard about the rainstorm bridge?"
[18:10] <@Porridge> "Aww, fun's over..." Porridge winks at his fellow half-elves, leaning back in his chair and looking over at Hylath. "Can't say I have. There a story to it?"
[18:14] <Gildas> He seems to come to his senses and turns to look at Hylath. "I've not heard of such a thing either."
[18:15] <@Kotono> Amid the complaints of a few of the brood, "Yes," Adjusting his big, floppy hat before he turns to the others, "It's said that the spirits that make it rain have to come down from the sky when it does. It's said that if you're quick and can reach the top of the canopy like a raptorian, you might be able to find a bridge to the spirit world. If you do, the spirits will pay you a sack of gold to
[18:15] <@Kotono> go back."
[18:17] <Feather> "Why do the spirits have gold?" Feather voices, curious.
[18:17] <@Porridge> "Pretty materialistic spirits," Porridge laughs.
[18:19] <Feather> "Not that materialistic if they give you so much money just to get you to leave!"
[18:20] <Gildas> "I wonder what must be across the bridge if they'd pay you to not cross it." He ponders.
[18:21] <@Kotono> "They're spirits," Hylath shrugs, "They can make gold like kings of yore could make new kingdoms. I've heard that if you go to the spirit world, you can find your heart's desire made manifest."
[18:21] <@Porridge> "Well I guess they think we're materialistic. What kind of sucker would pass up their heart's desire for a bag of money?"
[18:21] <@Kotono> "Sounds like a drunk story," Brutes doesn't look up from his whittling, "Had some friends who tried that once when they were really drunk. Didn't make it up, one of them fell and cracked his head open."
[18:22] <@Kotono> "A poor one?" Em speaks up from amid the half elf swarm, "Someone who has to give a lovely lady a worthy dowry?"
[18:23] <@Porridge> "Guess there is that," Porridge allows at Em's suggestion, falling into thought.
[18:24] <@Kotono> "Which is why..." Hylath turns his attention to Gildas, "You should fly up and see if you can find that bridge."
[18:24] <Gildas> "I'm not that materialistic." He responds with a small smile. "But I suppose I could at least go look..."
[18:27] <@Kotono> "That's the spirit!" Hylath rises, "I'll go out and support Gildas," he announces, "Who's with me?"
[18:29] <@Kotono> "I'll stay inside, where it's dry." Brutes returns to his whittling, "It'll take all afternoon to dry out with how wet it is."
[18:29] <@Porridge> "I'll cheer from the window," Porridge says. He doesn't mind getting wet, but everyone else would mind him tromping in with muddy feet and dripping water afterwards.
[18:30] <Feather> "Say hi to the rain spirits for me," Feather tells Gildas with a snort, figuring he can take Hylath's old seat by the window to see it through.
[18:33] <@Kotono> "We'll go!" SEveral of the half-elf brood call, joining Gildas and Hylath. Porridge and Feather watch from the window as the others go out. It's rainy, everyone getting wet and a bit muddy as you head out. In spite of soon become soaked, Hylath poitns up, "Fly up," he says, "Fly high as you can and find the bridge!"
[18:35] <Gildas> Just to be on the safe side, he quickly casts a Resist Energy on himself to insulate him from lightning, for all the good that it would actually do if he's by a bolt. With that done, he shapeshifts and starts flying up!
[18:36] <@Kotono> OOC: #evildunes. Meanwhile in here...
[18:37] <@Kotono> Up Gildas flies! The other two can see him from their dry place inside. Yet as you go, "Feather, Porridge," Rashen's voice, "Got a minute?"
[18:37] <@Porridge> "Yeah?" Porridge turns in the direction of the voice.
[18:38] <Feather> "Hmm?"
[18:40] <@Kotono> Rashen is wet. He's in his sock feet, clothing dripping. He holds up a shocker lizard with one hand, its neck snapped so that its head lolls at an odd angle. "Found this swimming in the healing spring."
[18:42] * Feather grimaces. "Well, we've been thinking about cleaning out a colony of those things. Seems like we got our target now?"
[18:44] <@Porridge> "How'd it even get in?" Porridge asks. It can't have come overland with the hole now sealed, so there must be a further hole below the lake.
[18:45] <@Kotono> "Don't know," Rashen shakes his head, water splashing about from it. "Do you want any? I'm going to go roast it."
[18:46] <Feather> "No."
[18:47] <@Porridge> "Sure," Porridge agrees. "I'll go down and have a look when Gildas gets back and the weather turns."
[18:52] <@Kotono> "Right," Rashen says, going off. Meanwhile the ones outside wait, wait and wait some more. Hylath waits with arms crossed, while the half-elfs mimic him. Then, "Don't go tracking water all over my clean floor!" The Missus is heard yelling.
[18:53] <@Porridge> Not wanting to get on her bad side is exactly why Porridge is still sitting cosy and warm inside.
[18:55] <@Kotono> Meanwhile Em splits away and comes to the window. She taps on it before calling, "Gildas has been gone awhile. Does he usually take this long to fly around?"
[18:56] <Feather> "Maybe he found that spirit realm?" Feather asks jokingly, before blinking. "Hey, wouldn't it make them fey?"
[18:57] <@Porridge> "Depends where he's going," Porridge tells Em. "And could be ghosts too," he says to Feather.
[18:57] <@Kotono> "The Sidhe?" Em looks a little unnerved at that, "Really? I mean..." Em looks away, "Um, nevermind."
[18:58] <Feather> "Huh. Do you become a ghost if you go to the ghost realm?"
[18:59] <@Porridge> "Figure you just have to die," Porridge shrugs.
[18:59] <Feather> "This might turn into a long wait...."
[18:59] <@Porridge> "And hey, it's probably not them," he looks up at Em. "No way they'd be nice enough to just give someone some gold and send 'em on their way."
[19:01] <@Kotono> "I guess," Em says, "Hopefully he'll be back soon."
[19:02] <@Porridge> "Maybe he found his heart's desire and won't ever come back..." Porridge muses, affecting nonchalance.
[19:02] <Feather> "Heh, yeah. Figure he just found something interesting out there in the storm." Feather shrugs. "If we're wrong and there's some foul play, we'll be sure to bust him out." At Porridge's suggestion, he pauses, considering it. "Could be. And we'll never know. Huh."
[19:04] <@Porridge> He snorts. "Nah, just kidding. Doesn't seem like that guy desires anything at all."
[19:06] <@Kotono> Rashen comes back, looking entirely rather sheepish. He's carrying a mop, "The Missus says that it'll take some time to roast it," he says, starting to dry-mop the floor. "So what was that about Gildas?"
[19:07] <@Porridge> "He's going up past the rainstorm to a place where they give you gold to leave, but you get your heart's desire if you stay," Porridge gives the abridged version. "But I figure there ain't nothing Gildas desires."
[19:07] <Feather> "Knowledge, maybe?"
[19:08] <@Kotono> "Hell, any man desires a good lay," Rashen says, "Look at all the kids here."
[19:09] <@Porridge> "Eh... maybe, maybe," he allows, but it still seems weak. "He never seems like he really cares about anything though, does he? Wonder if maybe there's something waiting up there for him he won't have ever realised till he lays eyes on it." At Rashen's comment he laughs and raises his hand to fistbump him. "Can go for that desire myself, sure."
[19:11] <@Kotono> Fistbump done! Rashen chuckles, "From what I've learned about humanfriends and the stories of orcs, everything likes that desire. Maybe right now he's surrounded by the spirits of the beautiful ladies of the past?"
[19:13] <@Porridge> "Still dunno if he'd take advantage, though."

[18:39] <@Kotono> "Go! Good luck!" Hylath calls, "Show them heroism and a gentleman's pride!" Up Gildas flies in the rain, ascending up. It's not hard to reach the sky here in the farm's clearing. It's a leaden gray sky, constantly spitting out rain. Reaching the top of the canopy level, you see forest stretching as far as your avian eyes can see. From the west you can see heavier rain coming in, as well as
[18:39] <@Kotono> flashes of lightning.
[18:40] <Gildas> Bird-Gildas has no real options but to keep flying! He'll head in the direction of the heavier rain, staying atop the canopies.
[18:41] <@Kotono> roll 1d100
[18:41] -rpgcafe.ca.us.lunarnet.org:@#evildunes- Kotono invited Hatbot into the channel.
[18:41] * Joins: Hatbot (~Hatbot@cpe-72-182-99-123.austin.res.rr.com)
[18:41] <@Kotono> roll 1d100
[18:41] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 1d100 and gets 1." [1d100=1]
[18:42] <Gildas> OOC: I'm either dead or lucky. I wonder which one.
[18:44] <@Kotono> You fly into the storm's teeth! Gildas dodges a close lightning bolt as he does. The rain is pounding here, but...but...ahead! When the lightning flashes he can see something - an archway, far ahead and above.  A shimmering, momentarily white-illuminated archway.
[18:45] <Gildas> If a bird can have a look of disbelief, this would be it. He flies for the archway! Up, up and away!
[18:47] <@Kotono> Gildas flies to the archway and through it! The moment he passes through, the storm ceases. He flies above the Vastwoods. It's sunny, hot enough to start to dry Gildas immediately. Behind him the archway shimmers a few times before fading out of view.
[18:48] <Gildas> He'll tentatively continue forward, well, as 'forward' as one can go when in the sky, anyway.
[18:50] <@Kotono> Gildas flies on. Ahead there's a large clearing, as if the forest just ceases to be for awhile. Sitting here are great pyramidal buildings of gray stone topped with antennae of gold. There's a dozen such structures about, each connected with cobblestone paths to one another.
[18:51] <Gildas> He will fly towards the clearing and find a good spot to land on the outskirts, not wanting to just barge in on... er... wherever in the world he happens to be right about now...
[18:54] <@Kotono> This goes without incident. No creature can be seen about - not even an animal. The pyramids each have a single stone door going into them, kept ajar.
[18:55] <Gildas> He shapeshifts back to his human form and steps carefully over, knocking... well, probably more like banging since it's made of stone, before peeking carefully past the door. "Hello?" He will call out.
[18:56] <@Kotono> "Hello," Dozens of feminine voices sing-song from all around Gildas. They're generally childish sounding.
[18:56] <@Kotono> Past the door you can see a hallway leading into a huge chamber. But you'd have to go in to see more.
[18:58] <Gildas> He takes a breath in, deciding to go forward. If it's the last decision he makes, then so be it. "Where am I?" He calls out again.
[19:00] <@Kotono> "Here, there and everywhere." The voices follow as you head inside. "Welcome to our home!" Past the hall is a huge chamber, filled to the brim with budding flowers. Each flower is about as big as a sunflower, each one with different colored petals and a white pod hanging from the center. In the pods you can see...things. Half finished tiny females with wings, spliced with various animals,
[19:00] <@Kotono> plants and odder things yet. "Did you lose your way? Are you lost?" The sing-songing comes from all around, yet none of the half-finished females speak. "Are you lost? Are you scared?"
[19:02] <Gildas> "I was spurred on by a legend about the spirits who bring rain." He says. "I am not lost... but I've never been to such a place as this before." He takes a look around at the flowers, raising his eyebrows at them. "Do I have a reason to be scared in your presence?"
[19:04] <@Kotono> This provokes a storm of giggles around you. "You found the stormgate! Someone found the stormgate! He found the stormgate! Oh, he found the stormgate! What a rare one! He smells of mushrooms too, how curious! Oh, oh, oh! Tell us a story!"
[19:08] <Gildas> "Ah... I am afraid I am not so good at telling stories." He admits. "But I can tell you facts... I am journeying with friends... we've been through much together, venturing to the land of the fey, even facing an entire colony of psionic ants. I am not sure they'd believe me when I tell them I've been here though, may I return with something of yours?" He looks around, not that he can really
[19:08] <Gildas> see anything beyond what's in front of him.
[19:10] <@Kotono> One of the flowers near you rises up. In it, you can see the half-finished girl within take on ant features. Her skin turns harder, antennae bursting from her forehead. Her legs fuse together and split out, becoming an ant's bottom with many legs. The creature's wings flap, a soft little murmur coming from her mouth. "We'll let you return with something of ours. Just close your eyes," The
[19:10] <@Kotono> voices call, "It'll be the gift from our new sister!"
[19:12] <Gildas> It would be rude to refuse... and worst case scenario, if it's something terrible, maybe he could be cured... he takes a deep breath and closes his eyes. Hopefully this isn't the last time he does so.
[19:13] <@Kotono> There is a flash of light and then...OOC: You'll be goign back to #dunes momentarily.

~

[19:13] <@Kotono> BOOOOM! The conversation is derailed by a massive burst of light followed by a stroke of thunder! Fuck! It sounds like that bolt must have hit the yard!
[19:14] <@Porridge> "Ahh!" Porridge jumps. "Fuck, what did he do to them?!" Shit, hopefully the thunder kept the kids from hearing him swear... or at least the missus.
[19:15] <Feather> "Maybe they weren't in the mood?" Feather asks uncertainly, drawing his sword.
[19:15] <@Kotono> Turning, the two can see that the children and Hylath have been knocked down. There's a scorch near the front door of the farm, Gildas lying there as well. Even from here you can tell he's completely dazed and out of it.
[19:16] <@Porridge> No choice but to get wet, then. Jumping out the window, Porridge runs through the rain to start pulling bodies inside, starting with the smallest children first.
[19:17] * Feather runs over to help, ready to put those healing potions to good use once everyone's been pulled inside.
[19:18] <@Kotono> The children look to be okay, just dazed. "What in tarnation?!" Robert's heard yelling, awakening at last. Hylath manages to stumble up, all muddy now. "Ow," he says eloquently. Meanwhile you see Gildas is stirring, and his fist is closed around something. OOC: Go ahead and awaken, Gildas.
[19:19] * Feather doesn't leave that to chance, and puts that magical healing water to good use with the kids!
[19:20] <Gildas> He carefully opens an eye... then another. He will slowly sit up and look at his surroundings. "...Well, that was... an interesting trip..." He is about to stand when he notices his hand and opens it up very carefully.
[19:20] <@Kotono> The children stir with it, Em last. "Ow," she mutters, "My ears hurt," she says, taking a good and long drink of water.
[19:20] <@Kotono> Within Gildas' hand is a small figurine of an ant. As he holds it, knowledge makes itself known in his mind. OOC: Loot post.
[19:22] <Gildas> He blinks... and then blinks again. "How curious." He then seems to realize he's still out in the rain and moves to stand up and head towards the house, but not inside, due to how wet and most likely muddy he is.
[19:22] <@Kotono> "Alright," Robert says, looking over his kids, "What the HELL is going on now?"
[19:23] <Gildas> "Ah... I found... ..." He blinks, then smiles a bit. "I found the bridge. I think that's the best way I can describe it."
[19:26] <@Porridge> "Pissed them off too be the sounds of it."
[19:26] <@Kotono> "I knew it!" Hylath says, dusting his clothes off of water, which really doesn't do much of anything. "So you came back rich?"
[19:28] <Gildas> "I think the stories might be slightly... incorrect." He chuckles. "It was... hm..." He does his best to describe the town he found, golden antennae and all, along with the flowers and the invisible voices. "I have a feeling it might've been a domain of the fey... they sent me back with this." He opens his hand to show everyone the figurine. "It's... quite curious. It seems to conjure a construct
[19:28] <Gildas> that will do your bidding for a time."
[19:28] * Feather snaps his fingers. "Was my first guess!"
[19:29] <Gildas> "They seemed quite surprised someone found the 'stormgate,' is what they called it." He goes on, "They probably don't get many visitors up there."
[19:29] <@Porridge> "I hoped it was ghosts. Can't they leave anything alone?" Porridge moans, going back inside but taking his boots off at the door and leaving them on the porch.
[19:30] <Gildas> He chuckles. "I don't think they'll be bothering anyone down here."
[19:31] <Feather> "At least you gotta go through a lot of trouble to find them, sounds like," Feather muses, deciding to do his part in cleaning up the floor with everyone safe and sound.
[19:31] <@Kotono> "Ahem," The Missus stands b efore the door now, several mops in hand, "Get a mop, everyone," she announces.
[19:32] <@Porridge> Without arguing, Porridge takes one and gets to work. "Never a dull moment, huh?"
[19:33] <Gildas> "I apologize if I worried anyone." He smiles and will help clean up... or himself, before doing much else. "Did anything exciting happen down here?"
[19:34] <@Porridge> "Rashen found a shocker lizard in the lake. Want to take a look for more tomorrow?"
[19:34] <Gildas> "We certainly should." He nods to Porridge. "That would be an unwelcome surprise, indeed."
[19:38] <@Kotono> OOC: Okay, so tomorrow or whenever it clears y'lall are gonna go to the spring? What's your plan there?
[19:38] <Gildas> OOC: I will prep a water-breathing spell so we can go investimigate.
[19:39] <Gildas> OOC: Also a light spell since Myann is not here.
[19:39] <Feather> OOC: I'll use elec res
[19:39] <@Kotono> OOC: Okay. Set it up IC when I move you along.
[19:40] <@Kotono> The next day leads to the spring. It's sunny again, the spring full from yesterday's rain. Mushrooms grow all around it, even with Myann gone. No sign of shocker lizards immediately around. OOC: ACt, y'all. Buff as yo uplease.
[19:40] <@Porridge> OOC: rhino rush swapped for energy res
[19:41] <@Porridge> Casting energy resistance to ward against electricity, Porridge says, "We'll sweep around the top half before going down into the cavern below and look for how they could've gotten in?"
[19:41] <Gildas> "So... it could not have come from too deep, or else it would have drowned, yes?" He looks at the others. "Or can they breathe water? I am not well-versed in shocker lizard anatomy."
[19:41] <Feather> "Dunno. Maybe it drowned and got carried up to the surface?"
[19:42] <@Kotono> OOC: K:A to the question of them breathing water.
[19:42] <@Porridge> "Nah, Rashen broke its neck, had to have had some fight in it."
[19:45] <Gildas> He will insulate himself against electricity again, before casting Breathe Water on the three of them.
[19:46] <Gildas> OOC: Water Breathing, whatever.
[19:46] <@Porridge> That done, Porridge wades into the water, starting to swim when it reaches his chest.
[19:47] <@Kotono> The water feels good. It banishes any lingering aches, bringing vitality with it.
[19:48] <@Porridge> Shame it'll do that for the lizards, too...
[19:48] <Gildas> He will shapeshift into his predatory bear form and bear-paddle in the water!
[19:48] * Feather brings up the rear, keeping close enough to the light to not get lost.
[19:51] <@Kotono> OOC: Going down?
[19:51] <@Porridge> OOC: checking out near the surface and kinda spiralling downwards.
[19:52] <@Kotono> OOC: Perception checks, y'all, or search, whichever is higher.
[19:53] <@Porridge> roll 1d20+13 there is no search
[19:53] * Hatbot --> "Porridge rolls 1d20+13 there is no search and gets 29." [1d20=16]
[19:53] <Feather> roll 1d20+8
[19:53] * Hatbot --> "Feather rolls 1d20+8 and gets 17." [1d20=9]
[19:54] <Gildas> roll 1d20+11
[19:54] * Hatbot --> "Gildas rolls 1d20+11 and gets 25." [1d20=14]
[19:56] <@Kotono> OOC: Oh right, I forgot about search being rolled into perception.
[19:57] <@Kotono> The party makes a pretty good search. No sign of the shocker lizards at all in the actual spring. You do find some claw marks on the big hole's rim, the one leading down to the green marks.
[19:59] <@Porridge> So they're definitely coming up that way, good at least to eliminate possibilities. Waving the other two to follow, Porridge swims down into the hole, preparing to fall into the water below.
[19:59] <Gildas> The bear bear-paddles after Porridge!
[20:00] <@Kotono> Down the party goes, falling and splashing down! As they surface in the green cave below? On the far side of the shore you can see a good dozen shocker lizards. They're lying in the light of the green stones, basking in it akin to how other lizards would bask in sunlight. They're stirring and looking towards the party as they land.
[20:01] * Feather makes his way towards the lizards, trusting in his magical protection and their lack of caring until it would be too late.
[20:02] <@Porridge> Lets hope they can thin those numbers before it gets dangerous. Swimming over, Porridge tries to get on land before the fighting starts.
[20:03] <Gildas> Being in water when around that much shocking... the bear paddles after them!
[20:03] <@Kotono> roll 1d20+2
[20:03] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 1d20+2 and gets 3." [1d20=1]
[20:03] <@Kotono> The lizards are indeed slow on the reaction, the party able to get to the shore before they rise! But they'r enow sparking and crackling, electricity a bright green in the cavern below! OOC: Init. The lizards are aware of you now.
[20:04] <Feather> roll 1d20+3
[20:04] * Hatbot --> "Feather rolls 1d20+3 and gets 19." [1d20=16]

[20:04] <Gildas> roll 1d20+7
[20:04] * Hatbot --> "Gildas rolls 1d20+7 and gets 18." [1d20=11]
[20:04] * Kotono changes topic to 'Feather=Shocker Lizards(19)>Gildas(18)'
[20:04] <@Porridge> roll 1d20+1
[20:04] * Hatbot --> "Porridge rolls 1d20+1 and gets 7." [1d20=6]
[20:04] * Kotono changes topic to 'Feather=Shocker Lizards(19)>Gildas(18)>Porridge(7)'
[20:09] * Feather raises three fingers, then two-- but then the lizards start to spark while glaring to them and that careful ambush plan falls apart. With a cry of "Oh, nuts!" Feather springs towards the lizards to slice up the one in the center and then dodges away from both them and Gildas and Porridge.
[20:09] <Feather> roll 1d20+9
[20:09] * Hatbot --> "Feather rolls 1d20+9 and gets 23." [1d20=14]
[20:10] <@Kotono> OOC: Hit.
[20:10] <Feather> roll 1d10+5+2d6
[20:10] * Hatbot --> "Feather rolls 1d10+5+2d6 and gets 18." [1d10=6][2d6=6, 1]
[20:11] <@Kotono> A deft slice parts one lizard from its head! As the head bounces away and blood spurts out, the rest of the lizards gather electricity! Above them it forms a giant javelin of electricity, hurtled right towards Gildas and Porridge! OOC: Ref you two.
[20:11] <Gildas> roll 1d20+7 evasion
[20:11] * Hatbot --> "Gildas rolls 1d20+7 evasion and gets 17." [1d20=10]
[20:12] <@Porridge> roll 1d20+6
[20:12] * Hatbot --> "Porridge rolls 1d20+6 and gets 21." [1d20=15]
[20:13] <@Kotono> roll 10d6 Gildas none Porridge half
[20:13] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 10d6 Gildas none Porridge half and gets 33." [10d6=1, 5, 1, 4, 3, 6, 4, 1, 3, 5]
[20:14] <@Kotono> The javelin of lightning slams down amid the two, exploding into a hell of thunder! Gildas-bear prances nimbly up, leaping just above it and landing once it fizzles out! Porridge just manages to leap back, avoiding the worst of the burst! OOC: Right. Gildas, go.
[20:15] <Gildas> The bear moves in to take a bite out of the dastardly shocker lizards!
[20:15] <Gildas> roll 1d20+8
[20:15] * Hatbot --> "Gildas rolls 1d20+8 and gets 24." [1d20=16]
[20:15] <Gildas> roll 1d6+8
[20:15] * Hatbot --> "Gildas rolls 1d6+8 and gets 12." [1d6=4]
[20:16] <@Kotono> Chomp! A second lizard becomes a snack for Gildas, a bite sending electric green racing down the bear's throat! It makes Gildas glow from th einside, his stomach alight from it! OOC: Porridge.
[20:17] <@Porridge> Splitting up forther, Porridge moves to the right flank of the lizards, charging into the one furthest on that side!
[20:17] <@Porridge> roll 1d20+9 -2pa charge
[20:17] * Hatbot --> "Porridge rolls 1d20+9 -2pa charge and gets 16." [1d20=7]
[20:17] <@Kotono> OOC: Hit.
[20:18] <@Porridge> roll 1d12+9
[20:18] * Hatbot --> "Porridge rolls 1d12+9 and gets 21." [1d12=12]
[20:18] <@Kotono> The slice of lizard flesh is wet and meaty as a third gets cleanly sliced up! Blood splatters on the green stones here, taking on mushroom-dot patterns briefly before sizzling away! OOC: Feather.
[20:20] <Feather> Oh, how he hopes it's just a coincidence! Feather lunges to cut through the center of the lizard formation, retreating afterwards to a whole new spot that remains far enough from his two allies.
[20:20] <Feather> roll 1d20+9
[20:20] * Hatbot --> "Feather rolls 1d20+9 and gets 11." [1d20=2]
[20:22] <@Kotono> Dancing about, Feather has to leap past a sudden tripwire of electricity! It foils his attack but isn't enough to stop his manuevering! Then, the nine remaining lizards gather! A net of electricity appears above Feather, falling down onto him! r
[20:22] <@Kotono> roll 1d20+5 touch AC?
[20:22] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 1d20+5 touch AC? and gets 18." [1d20=13]
[20:23] <Feather> OOC: Not that
[20:23] <@Kotono> roll 5d6 electricity damage and more
[20:23] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 5d6 electricity damage and more and gets 11." [5d6=3, 1, 1, 5, 1]
[20:23] <@Kotono> The net wraps around FEather, shocking him! It clings on, keeping him entangled like an actual, solid net! OOC: Gildas.
[20:24] <Gildas> He moves in to try and bite at another lizard!
[20:24] <Gildas> roll 1d20+8
[20:24] * Hatbot --> "Gildas rolls 1d20+8 and gets 28." [1d20=20]
[20:24] <Gildas> roll 1d20+8
[20:24] * Hatbot --> "Gildas rolls 1d20+8 and gets 23." [1d20=15]
[20:24] <Gildas> roll 2d6+16
[20:24] * Hatbot --> "Gildas rolls 2d6+16 and gets 25." [2d6=3, 6]
[20:27] <@Kotono> Two lizards! One liard is grabbed in each paw, before being smashed together! It's like grinding stones into dust, and the remnants are torn apart in the bear's mouth! What survives falls away, a slurry of bone, scale and blood! OOC: Well shit, that hurt. 7 left. Porridge.
[20:27] <@Porridge> Advancing in from the side, Porridge slams his axe into the next challenger!
[20:27] <@Porridge> roll 1d20+9
[20:27] * Hatbot --> "Porridge rolls 1d20+9 and gets 16." [1d20=7]
[20:27] <@Porridge> roll 1d12+5
[20:27] * Hatbot --> "Porridge rolls 1d12+5 and gets 14." [1d12=9]
[20:29] <@Kotono> Six left via braining the next with the side of his axe! The other side of its head explodes out, bone and brains splattering! OOC: Feather, you're up. 5d6 ongoing from the net first.
[20:29] <@Kotono> roll 5d6 electricity damage
[20:29] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 5d6 electricity damage and gets 16." [5d6=4, 6, 2, 1, 3]
[20:29] * Feather forces his way through the net by sheer brute force, raising his sword above his head with all his might before bringing it down on the lizard that escaped him last time! And then, with a burst of magic, he manages to retreat to a new, more advantageous position.
[20:29] <Feather> roll 1d20+9-2
[20:29] * Hatbot --> "Feather rolls 1d20+9-2 and gets 21." [1d20=14]
[20:29] <Feather> roll 1d10+5+2d6
[20:29] * Hatbot --> "Feather rolls 1d10+5+2d6 and gets 22." [1d10=9][2d6=3, 5]
[20:31] <@Kotono> Two lizards are sliced apart in that swing, bodies broken apart like loaves of bread! Stumbling through the net, Feather claims two more! The remaining lizards suddenly break, skittering towards the back wall. They slip into a hole unseen, a little hole where wall meets floor! OOC: Free act, the lizards retreated since you kicked their asses.
[20:31] <Feather> "The fuck are we gonna find them now?" Feather grumbles, peering at the hole.
[20:31] <@Porridge> Porridge lets them run. "Okay, found where they're coming from. You two okay?" he asks, going up to examine the hole.
[20:32] <@Porridge> "Can just block it off."
[20:32] <@Kotono> It's a small hole - the lizards likely had to squeeze through. It's barely as wide as any of your arms.
[20:32] <Feather> "Might find another some day. And kids swim up there."
[20:33] <Gildas> With a growl, the bear shapeshifts back. "I am all right... I wonder if they could dig their way out, though. They seemed to be enjoying these rocks, it might spur them on to try and come back." He considers the options they have. "I don't think we can really follow them this way, though... maybe we should take some time and explore the caves later?"
[20:33] <@Porridge> "Yeah but we're not gonna be able to kill every single one of them."
[20:33] <Feather> "What if we get their queen?"
[20:34] <@Porridge> "Maybe. But I don't fancy widening that hole to try and find it less we just make it easier for them to get up here," Porridge shakes his head.
[20:35] <Gildas> "We should ask Rashen, he may have some ideas on how to approach this. I'm sure he has some practice in sealing holes."
[20:35] <Feather> "Yeah, me neither. Maybe the kobolds know where it could lead, though," Feather muses, deciding to try and unlodge a couple of green rocks similar to those Porridge used for his necklace.
[20:36] <@Porridge> In the meantime Porridge piles up some of the bigger rocks to barricade the hole.
[20:36] <@Kotono> The rocks are removed without any particular difficulty.
[20:37] <@Kotono> Gettign some rocks soon leads ot the hole being barricaded on up. Unless the lizards can chew through rocks, they aren't getting through.
[20:37] <Feather> "Anyone seeing any other holes like this?" Feather asks, taking a look himself.
[20:37] <Feather> roll 1d20+8
[20:37] <@Porridge> "Lets take a look for any other holes before we go up so we know what's what?" Porridge suggests, exploring the rest of the surface.
[20:37] * Hatbot --> "Feather rolls 1d20+8 and gets 28." [1d20=20]
[20:38] <Gildas> If there are any other loose ones, Gildas will take a green rock as well! Otherwise, he will take a look around with the others.
[20:38] <@Kotono> Feather takes his time, having a good and careful look. No other holes about at all beyond the ones already known about in the bottom of the underground lake here.
[20:40] <Feather> "Seems like we're good for now?"
[20:40] <Gildas> "It looks that way." He nods. "Thankfully."
[20:40] <@Porridge> Back up then!
