<Ko-CKisahobbit> ------
<Ko-CKisahobbit> > Lucy is able to spot a thorn bush, avoiding it. Soon the party reaches a little clearing. It's subtle, but there's a sign something was here not long ago. Lucy can discern a faint trail, that perhaps a trained tracker could follow. It's otherwise silent here, misty and surrounded by trees all over.
<Ko-CKisahobbit> <Lucy> "Well, I have good news and I have bad news!"
<Ko-CKisahobbit> > Jetina pets Pepo, "The bad news is that it isn't here to punish?"
<Ko-CKisahobbit> <Lucy> "Not as such, no. The good news are that we are on the right track, and there is a trail right here!" She helpfully points it out. "The bad news, however, are that it would take me far too long to find it again if we go fast, and our enemy would get away if I go too slowly. I'm not really an outdoors type of person, after all."
<Ko-CKisahobbit> <Veren> "I have no skill in tracking, either."
<Ko-CKisahobbit> <Lucy> "Our choices are to try and track him by scent, or to risk either option already mentioned. Any preferences?"
<Ko-CKisahobbit> <Pepo> 'I can track by scent,' Pepo says, extricating himself from Jetina's brief grasp to sniff around for any scent on the trail that'll help them keep it.
<Ko-CKisahobbit> > OOC: Survival check.
<Ko-CKisahobbit> <Moore> "I can cast a spell to detect the presence of something evil which may help us as we go if they're trying to hide." Moore says.
<Ko-CKisahobbit> <Pepo> roll 1d20+15 survival
<Ko-CKisahobbit> * Hatbot --> "Pepo rolls 1d20+15 survival and gets 28." [1d20=13]
<Ko-CKisahobbit> <Pepo> OOC: +4 for scent
<Ko-CKisahobbit> > Pepo is able to discern a trail. He thinks he can follow it.
<Ko-CKisahobbit> <Pepo> 'Follow me,' he instructs, eschewing stealth to openly follow the trail so he can be followed himself.
<Ko-CKisahobbit> <Moore> Moore stays close to Jetina but does follow.
* Veren follows after Pepo, but tries to keep hidden as he moves.
<Ko-CKisahobbit> "Right," Jetina murmurs, following along. "Qupan guide us," she murmurs, holy symbol on hand. Pepo leads the way onwards. The going is difficult ahead, but Pepo's superior survival skills allow them to avoid serious difficulty. You eventually come to a jagged cave entrance in the shape of a skull. It appears as if it burst out of the earth, abnormal and surrounded by thick bushes and trees. The
<Ko-CKisahobbit> cave's path goes steadily down.
<Moore> Moore wrinkles his nose. "They really aren't very subtle in this place, are they?"
* Veren sighs.
<Pepo> 'There's a motif that must be stuck to,' Pepo agrees, walking openly within.
<Veren > "This place is irritating."
* Veren follows after Pepo, blade in hand. Obviously it'll be needed soon.
<Ko-CKisahobbit> "They aren't subtle at all. No refinement," Jetina agrees, "The undead are seldom anything but. Except vampires."
<Lucy> "Ah yes. Well, there are liches to consider as well...."
<Moore> Moore will keep an eye open for magic as they, assuming his spell actually works here, anyway...
<Moore> OOC: *as they go
<Ko-CKisahobbit> No good. The spell just fizzles like before. OOC: Pepo, you're still on point? Make perception real quick.
<Pepo> roll 1d20+17
<Lucy> OOC: I'll bring up the rear
<Pepo> invite Hatbot #dunes
* Serith (~iron_drag@cpe-173-172-46-15.tx.res.rr.com) has joined #dunes
<Pepo> roll 1d20+17
<Serith> Pepo roll for Serith < 36 > 12 [d20=19]
<Moore> "Be wary, everyone, it looks like there's another anti-magic... whatever you want to call it." Moore calls out to the others.
<Ko-CKisahobbit> As you start to go down, Pepo can see well worn places in the stone. As if feet have gone over it many times, enough to wear it down. The size of it suggests a human-sized creature.
* Veren nods, but continues as it doesn't hamper him much.
<Ko-CKisahobbit> Jetina quietly draws her blade and follows. "If one won't work, then the other."
<Lucy> That just means it's time for Lucy to cast another Shield.
<Pepo> 'Something like a human lives here... or lived here,' Pepo informs everyone so they know if they see anything humanlike they can kill it without asking questions.
<Ko-CKisahobbit> No good. The shield spell just fizzles.
* Lucy blinks, and wonders whether precast spells like the one keeping her mind from being tampered with is still working right, at least.
<Ko-CKisahobbit> "Right," Jetina murmurs as the party goes down. The path leads deeper in, a dank and musty cave. Dark green moss grows in thick patches as you go further in. After going down perhaps 50ft, the moss starts to have tiny, delicate white flowers that bloom from it.  A little further below you can see the passage bottom out and straighten, the first glimpses of what's probably a much bigger cavern
<Ko-CKisahobbit> below.
<Pepo> Pepo will keep following the scent to locate their quarry in this big cavern.
* Lucy keeps just a few steps behind Jetina, just in case.
<Lucy> roll 1d20+17
<Serith> Lucy roll for Serith < 26 > 12 [d20=9]
<Ko-CKisahobbit> Thus the party goes in. This massive cavern is dominated by...organs. Great, old and half rusted pipe organs are everywhere. They sit in varying states of disrepair. A path through them leads 50ft ahead in a twisty way, all angles and curves. It leads to a small circle, where a throne sits. On this throne sits a man with pale brown hair, long enough to reach the floor. He wears the fancy clothes
<Ko-CKisahobbit> of an aristocrat, a white gloved hand supporting his head. He wears a plain, featureless white mask. "Thank you, thank you," he says as you see him, "But really," His voice is cultured and stirring, a faint accent you can't pin down. "There's no need for further compliments or tips. My work is its own reward."
<Lucy> "Any last words?" Lucy asks him succinctly.
<Pepo> OOC: I'm not gonna banter. Init?
<Ko-CKisahobbit> OOC: Sure, we'll do init if you just wanna wring his neck.
<Ko-CKisahobbit> OOC: Quick question first.
<Moore> Moore doesn't really have much to say on the matter but rubs his eyes once because -really-?
<Ko-CKisahobbit> OOC: More, what type of ability are your auras? Supernatural, spell-like or extraordinary?
<Moore> OOC: Ex
<Lucy> roll 1d20+4+8
<Serith> Lucy roll for Serith < 14 > 12 [d20=2]
<Ko-CKisahobbit> OOC: Okay, init bonus applies.
<Ko-CKisahobbit> roll 1d20+12 Jetina
<Serith> Ko-CKisahobbit roll for Serith < 17 > 12 [d20=5]
<Ko-CKisahobbit> roll 1d20+7 masked man

<Serith> Moore roll for Serith < 33 > 12 [d20=20]
<Pepo> roll 1d20+6+8
<Serith> Pepo roll for Serith < 18 > 12 [d20=4]
* Ko-CKisahobbit changes topic to 'Masked Man(24)>Jetina(17)>Lucy(14) '
* Ko-CKisahobbit is now known as Kotono
* Kotono changes topic to 'Moore(38)>Masked Man(24)>Pepo(18)>Jetina(17)>Veren(15)>LucyMikoess(14) '
<Kotono> "Many," The man breezily fires back, cracking his knuckles, "Allow me to express them in a pleasing way as you come closer." OOC: Open Moore.
<Moore> "We can do it, everyone! Let's pay this guy back for what he tried to do to all of us!" Moore calls out as he inspires his allies! OOC: Using Inspire Courage, which is Supernatural in case there's a problem with that.
<Kotono> There's an odd moment where Moore's voice cascades and echoes. The organs begin to play a distorted repeat of what Moore said, over and over. Each party member feels their body grow cold, numb and unfeeling. OOC: In addition to the normal inspire courage benefits, the party gains moderate fortification for the duration.
<Moore> OOC: +2 to attack and hit and charm/fear
<Kotono> The masked man rises and claps loudly, "Oh bravo! A creature after my own passions. Come then, I await you," he gestures. OOC: He's holding. Pepo
<Kotono> .
<Pepo> Pepo tries to turn the man's voice into a dog's barking!
<Moore> "E...Eh?" Moore looks around at the organs as he tries to figure out what just happened.
<Pepo> OOC: control sound, inevitably doomed to fail but gotta try
<Kotono> OOC: Deduct PP as normal.
<Kotono> The man tries to say something - but Pepo feels the power manifest normally. He says something, but only a dog's barking can be heard. OOC: Yes Pepo, you were correct that it doesn't actually cover this chamber. Jetina's up.
<Kotono> Jetina suddenly smiles and breaks into a run, sprinting through the echoing chamber's twisty passage. Dog barks echo in it but nothing further happens, as she manages to expend all her energy  making it through the twisty passage and almost to the man.  OOC: Spending her turn going through the windy path and all that. He'll take his held action now.
* Kotono changes topic to 'Moore(38)>Pepo(18)>Jetina(17)>Masked Man>Veren(15)>LucyMikoess(14) '
<Kotono> The masked man steps forward, his barking turning into a low, angry canine growl. His fists flash out, a deadly dance of monkly power.
<Kotono> roll 1d20+14 stunning fist
<Serith> Kotono roll for Serith < 26 > 12 [d20=12]
<Kotono> roll 1d20+14
<Serith> Kotono roll for Serith < 24 > 12 [d20=10]

<Kotono> roll 1d20+12
<Serith> Kotono roll for Serith < 25 > 12 [d20=13]
<Kotono> Jetina gasps as he strikes hard enough to deform her armor. She staggers back from a blow to the chest, a gasping exhale sending little droplets of blood out. The second blow is a kick to her head, causing her to stumble dazedly around. But she's still up. OOC: Ow. Veren.
<Veren > OOC: He's 50 ft?
<Kotono> OOC: 50ft away through a twisty path through the pipe organs. A glance suggests that unless you fly or go ethereal, it'll be more than 50ft in practice. What's your move speed?
<Veren > OOC: 30 ft. I can spend my last PP to gain a second move action, if I need to.
<Kotono> OOC: That'll be just enough to get you there.
<Kotono> OOC: Spending the PP, that is.
* Veren focuses his mental abilities, expending the last of his energies to make his body move faster and darts forward to close with the man, blade coming out as he does! OOC: 3 PP for Hustle, 0 PP left.
<Veren > roll 1d20+13 ATK 1
<Serith> Veren roll for Serith < 25 > 12 [d20=12]
<Veren > roll 1d20+8 ATK 2
<Serith> Veren roll for Serith < 13 > 12 [d20=5]
<Kotono> 'OOC: You did a move action, full attack is a full-round action.
<Veren > OOC: Ah, shit yeah.
<Veren > OOC: So just the first one, right?
<Kotono> OOC: Yes. That one hits.
<Veren > roll 1d4+3 damage
<Serith> Veren roll for Serith < 4 > 12 [d4=1]
<Kotono> The dagger grazes the man's side, a shallow wound. Another growl comes from him, like a pissed off dog. OOC: Okay, Lucy.
<Lucy> Lucy's eyes glow ominously as her hair flutters about her, and then the magic carefully imbued into them is violently released into the barking man!
<Lucy> roll 1d20+9 ray1 ranged touch
<Serith> Lucy roll for Serith < 10 > 12 [d20=1]
<Lucy> roll 1d20+9 ray2 ranged touch
<Serith> Lucy roll for Serith < 29 > 12 [d20=20]
<Lucy> roll 1d20+9 ray2 ranged touch?
<Serith> Lucy roll for Serith < 13 > 12 [d20=4]
<Kotono> OOC: One normal hit.
<Lucy> roll 1d6+4 strength penalty, ray of enfeeblement
<Serith> Lucy roll for Serith < 6 > 12 [d6=2]
<Kotono> "T-thanks," Jetina gasps, almost doubled over as she uses the chance to stumble back. She spits out blood and settles in next to Veren as magical rays come flying. The first misses wildly, hitting an organ behind everything. It doesn't do much, but the second hits him dead on. He visibly shrinks from the blast, looking far more sickly and slumped. OOC: Ow. Moore.
<Moore> Moore clears his throat and calls on his poetics once again! "Miss Jetina! Don't give up! You're better than this!" OOC: Inspire Greatness
<Moore> OOC: Do I roll the 2d10 hp or her?
<Kotono> OOC: Lemme check.
<Kotono> OOC: She's more than 30ft away ,so you'd need to fly over to get into range. Not difficult since you, y'know, fly, though.
<Kotono> OOC: Roll the 2d10. I'll add the con mod on my side.
<Moore> roll 2d10
<Serith> Moore roll for Serith < 5 > 12 [d10=1,4]
<Moore> OOC: Yeah I'll fly within range first
<Moore> OOC: *I'll
<Kotono> Moore flies in, singing all the while. Jetina seems to grow as much as the masked man shrinks,  as...OOC: Pepo.
<Pepo> The barking doesn't quite tickle Pepo's funny-bone as much as he'd like, so he replaces it with quacking to see how that works out. OOC: concentrating on power
<Kotono> A loud QUACK comes at that, the masked man pausing a moment in surprise. AS this happens, Jetina readies her sword as it glows white, "Be punished hard!"
<Kotono> roll 1d20+14 (+2 inspire courage, +2 inspire greatness, +4 smite evil, -4 PA)
<Serith> Kotono roll for Serith < 27 > 12 [d20=13]
<Kotono> roll 1d20+9 (+2 inspire courage, +2 inspire greatness, +4 smite evil, -4 PA)
<Serith> Kotono roll for Serith < 25 > 12 [d20=16]
<Kotono> roll 2d6+25 (+2 inspire courage, +7 smite, +4 favored enemy, +8 PA)
<Serith> Kotono roll for Serith < 34 > 12 [d6=4,5]
<Kotono> roll 2d6+25 (+2 inspire courage, +7 smite, +4 favored enemy, +8 PA)
<Serith> Kotono roll for Serith < 36 > 12 [d6=6,5]
<Kotono> Jetina impales the masked man right through the chest. She rips her blade out and brings it down again and again as she falls. Flashes of white light shine each time she cuts more of the man away. When it's all said and done, a pile of meat hunks remains in place of an opponent. Unless he can survive being turned into mincemeat, he's quite dead. OOC: Free act.
<Pepo> Well, he only got one quack, but it was probably better all things considered so Pepo is content.
<Lucy> "Well."
* Veren raises an eyebrow and palms his dagger.
* Lucy casts Detect Magic to take a look around.
<Veren > "That was quite... vigorous of you."
* Veren kneels down to check the corpse over for anything interesting, before searching the area.
<Kotono> "Th...ugh!" Jetina stumbles and holds her chest, coughing up more blood. This is followed by her chanting a quick healing spell. OOC: CLW incoming.
<Kotono> roll 1d20+12 and fast healing 4 for 7 rounds
<Serith> Kotono roll for Serith < 17 > 12 [d20=5]
<Kotono> OOC: Strike, wrong die.
<Kotono> roll 1d8+12 and fast healing 4 for 7 rounds
<Serith> Kotono roll for Serith < 13 > 12 [d8=1]
<Moore> Moore does the same as Lucy, looking around for any magical auras or anything left over.
<Kotono> There's magic. OOC: Spellcraft.
<Lucy> roll 1d20+17
<Serith> Lucy roll for Serith < 25 > 12 [d20=8]
<Moore> roll 1d20+13
<Serith> Moore roll for Serith < 22 > 12 [d20=9]
<Kotono> The organs are all enchanted, but you can't decipher what it is. None of the masked man's gear is magical, but you can detect magic from behind the throne. Going back, you can see a trap door. Nothing terribly hidden, save by the throne's position.
<Lucy> "How about seeing where this leads?"
* Veren inspects the trap door for tricks and traps
<Moore> "For someone as blosterous as he was, he certainly fell fast enough..." Moore says.
<Moore> OOC: boisterous too, jesus I spelled it wrong twice apparently
<Kotono> Jetina rises, her wounds healing before your eyes. OOC: Perception, Veren.
<Veren > roll 1d20+13 Perception
<Serith> Veren roll for Serith < 31 > 12 [d20=18]
<Kotono> Yep, it be trapped. Anyone opening it will suddenly find themselves much less living and much more dead. Literally, as it'll suck the life out of the living.
<Kotono> "All talk," Jetina says, "Though facing 5 on 1 odds does speak of bravery or foolishness."
<Veren > "It's trapped. Something that looks to drain life. Give me a few."
* Veren sets to work disarming the trap.
<Pepo> 'I could have a construct open it if needed,' Pepo says, slinking closer.
* Lucy stays comfortably back.
<Moore> "Oh..." Moore says with a shiver. "A last-ditch effort from someone evil..."
<Kotono> OOC: Disable device check.
<Veren > roll 1d20+14+2 Disable Device/Inspiration
<Serith> Veren roll for Serith < 19 > 12 [d20=3]
<Kotono> Jetina steps back as well, sitting down briefly. She pets Pepo, "Thanks for the support as well, Lucy. He hit much too hard, like a barbarian."
<Kotono> Veren tries to work the trap - but suddenly there is a bone chilling howl as...OOC: Fort, Veren.
<Veren > roll 1d20+6+5 Fort/Inspiration
<Serith> Veren roll for Serith < 15 > 12 [d20=4]
<Moore> OOC: Can I use my Regalia of the Hero to give him a +5?
<Kotono> OOC: Yes.
<Kotono> roll 15d6 negative energy damage halve this
<Serith> Kotono roll for Serith < 61 > 12 [d6=4,4,1,3,5,6,3,5,4,6,2,4,5,3,6]
<Veren > OOC: Round up or down?
<Kotono> Veren falls over as white life-force gushes out from his body. He convulses as it bleeds away into nothingness. But somehow he endures, drained and beaten, but alive. OOC: Ow.
<Lucy> "I don't think it's really as effective as it could be-- huh. That looks so painful."
<Kotono> Jetina quickly goes to him, murmuring another simple healing spell. "Here!"
<Kotono> roll 1d8+12 healing plus fast healing 4 for 7 rounds
<Serith> Kotono roll for Serith < 18 > 12 [d8=6]
<Moore> "Veren!" Moore calls out, moving to his side. "You should really be more careful..."
* Veren lies on the ground panting a bit.
<Veren > "Apparently, I have displeased the gods of luck."
<Kotono> "Much more careful,
<Kotono> OOC: Gah.
<Kotono> "Much more careful," Jetina seconds as she pats Veren's shoulder.
<Moore> "Did that disable the trap, at least?" Moore asks. "Or is it still...?"
* Veren levers himself back to his feet and inspects the trap again.
<Kotono> The trap has been discharged. Looks like it was a single shot of nastiness.
<Veren > "It's been used up, at least."
* Veren opens the trap door.
* Lucy waits a few moments and then peers over Veren's shoulder.
<Kotono> The trap door leads to a short ladder. Down here is a small, clearly carved out recess. In here you can see a pile of coins, lots of silvery metal scraps and a few other things mixed up in it all.
<Moore> Moore will try and detect the magic on the various objects!
<Veren > "Silver?"
<Kotono> OOC: Spellcraft, Moore.
<Moore> roll 1d20+13
<Serith> Moore roll for Serith < 24 > 12 [d20=11]
<Kotono> OOC: Loot post.
<Kotono> Jetina peers down but doesn't go down the ladder. "More treasure. I wonder if the other cache was his, too?"
<Lucy> "We'll find out soon enough," Lucy muses. "For now, let's take it and go back where we started?"
* Veren heads back up with the others.
<Lucy> roll 3#1d20+17 spellcraft
<Serith> Lucy roll for Serith < 27, 29, 23 >
<Kotono> OOC: Post Lucy.
<Kotono> OOC: Going back to the path you were following before, all?
<Pepo> OOC: sure
<Kotono> roll 1d100
<Serith> Kotono roll for Serith < 77 > 12 [d100=77]
<Kotono> The path back through the forest is unremarkable. It's gotten a little colder since you tracked down your quarry, but is otherwise the same. As you reach the path without further incident, "Does anyone need Qupan's blessings before we go on?" Jetina asks.
<Moore> "If you mean healing, no, I am fine." Moore says with a smile. "But thank you."
<Pepo> 'I am well,' Pepo confirms, retreating to stealth now that his guidance is no longer required.
<Pepo> roll 1d20+34 stealth
<Serith> Pepo roll for Serith < 48 > 12 [d20=14]
<Veren > "I am recovered. Thank you for it."
<Lucy> "That braggart wasn't really all that strong," Lucy muses, staying near Jetina for now.
<Kotono> This draws a smile out from Jetina, who falls into the middle of the party as they head along. OOC: Quick refresher, what's your marching order here?
* Veren follows Pepo's example and tries to stealth up as well.
<Veren > roll 1d20+14 Stealth
<Serith> Veren roll for Serith < 22 > 12 [d20=8]
<Kotono> OOC: Make stealth checks if you're getting sneaky, Veren. Pepo already mad- and there you go, good.
<Moore> OOC: I will fly next to/slightly ahead of Jetina.
<Veren > OOC: Not that I actually managed to ninja or anything.
<Kotono> "Not strong enough to face all of us," Jetina rests a hand on her still dented breastplate, "I never understand how bare-handed fighters get so strong as to damage good steel."
<Kotono> OOC: Okay, so Jetina in the middle and Moore's staying close to her. Noted. What about the rest of you? Pepo's in the shadows as is Veren, but where relative to the rest of the party?
<Veren > OOC: Right flank, for the hell of it.
<Pepo> OOC: I'm say 15 feet left of Jetina
<Lucy> OOC: Next to Jetina, like I said. Within 5ft.
<Kotono> OOC: Okay, so Jetina has turned into the core of the party's marching order somehow. Amusing. Alright then, that's all of you. Moving on.
<Lucy> OOC: She has a circle!
<Kotono> The path winds on for a time. The misty fog of the forest continues to glow, giving enough illumination.  After perhaps a solid ten minutes of unremarkable travel, the party can hear the sound of rushing water ahead.
<Moore> Moore casts a detect magic in anticipation, just in case this is just the sound of water and it's hiding something more sinister!
* Veren watches the area, looking for anything suspicious.
<Kotono> Jetina looks up, "A river?" she suggests, "Water erodes the earth around it, so that cave we're looking for may be nearby it." OOC: Go ahead and make a quick perception check then, Veren.
<Veren > roll 1d20+13 Perception
<Serith> Veren roll for Serith < 27 > 12 [d20=14]
<Kotono> Veren doesn't notice anything awry. As the party continues on, they soon enough come to a river. It's about 15 feet wide and has a visibly fast current. A solid looking stone footbridge goes over it. It's plain otherwise, just a long slab of stone supported on both banks.
<Veren > "My first inclination is to be suspicious of everything in this place."
* Veren eyes the bridge.
<Lucy> "A serviceable bridge surrounded by beautiful nature! Or a trap, because it's an undead-infested forsaken forest," Lucy muses. "Yes, I can see your dilemma." She decided to look with detect magic, just in case.
<Pepo> 'I am too low on power to use true seeing. Someone poke it with a stick,' Pepo suggests to get the obvious out of the way.
<Kotono> "It's a trap," Jetina eyes it, "What else could it be in this place?" She says it dryly, as meanwhile Lucy and Moore glance at the bridge. There's no magic around it.
* Veren sighs again.
<Lucy> "The trap could always be past it," Lucy muses, heading across.
<Veren > "Prepare healing, once again I suppose."
<Moore> Moore will tentatively fly over the river!
* Veren strides onto, and hopefully across, the bridge.
<Pepo> Pepo follows after Veren's at least halfway across.
<Kotono> OOC: Brave ones, aren't you? Make perception checks, all.
<Kotono> roll 1d20+11 Jetina
<Serith> Kotono roll for Serith < 15 > 12 [d20=4]
<Lucy> roll 1d20+21 I'm immortal!
<Serith> Lucy roll for Serith < 26 > 12 [d20=5]
<Pepo> roll 1d20+17
<Serith> Pepo roll for Serith < 22 > 12 [d20=5]
<Veren > roll 1d20+13+2 Perception/Inspiration!
<Serith> Veren roll for Serith < 24 > 12 [d20=9]
<Moore> roll 1d20+13
<Serith> Moore roll for Serith < 19 > 12 [d20=6]
<Kotono> Miracle of miracles. The party sees nothing unusual and crossing the bridge is seemingly without incident. No rising deal, no threats, nothing like that. Just the other side, safe and sound.
<Lucy> "You know," Lucy muses, as she gestures for Jetina to match her pace. "I think I read about traps like that. See, they make you waste time."
<Pepo> Perhaps it's possible to overthink things, Pepo thinks as he moves away from the bridge. 'Then we defeated it easily.'
<Lucy> "Quite!"
* Veren chuckles, but moves back into stealthier places.
<Moore> Moore continues along with the others. "I'll be glad once we're out of this place, though. Trapped bridge or not."
<Lucy> "Yes. I'm sure you will be much safer during a full-scale invasion."
<Moore> "I'd like to think I'm safer with the enemies I know than the ones I don't, indeed."
<Lucy> "I've been wondering about that, really. They must be quite formidable for Mister Pepo's divinations to suggest we couldn't hold the city against them, and for them to now try and expand this way."

It stares down at the party with eyes of water, before...OOC: Things have obviously gone hostile here.  Whatever this serpent is and what it's going to
<Kotono> do will have to wait until next time, however, since it's pausing time and I have work today anyway.
