"We go single file, within literal reach of each other," Jaela proposes, after thinking about it. "Keep an arm free at all times. Tug on your buddies with it the moment you spot imminent danger, and point it out. That way we are less likely to be ambushed, at least." She pauses, briefly mapping out the room by memory before using Gae Bolg to draw a rough sketch of it on the floor. "This is where the remaining chests were," she continues after, the spear moving from the entrance to the rightmost chest. "We'll all go together and collect them on the most efficient route. Surraruthru, the first one is your responsibility, then it's Ebony's turn and after that Kascha's. I'll grab the last one and bring up the rear."

Nods go around and around, "I think we can manage that," Kascha says, "But we're going in blind and deaf because of the explosions, so it'll be tough going on top of the force from them. Hopefully there's no monsters in there."

For the sake of moving on, I'm going to take the small liberty of the spell being cast.

Once the spell is cast, the party heads on down and into the depths. Once more you slowly go, single file as Jaela takes point with her blindsight. It's disoriented from all the movement and explosions, but it's far better than her eyes right now. You make slow, halting and careful progress over the broken stones, eventually making it back to the vault. You stumble to the chests, finding them seemingly intact despite all the explosions.

As you do, you are suddenly peppered by little missiles. Magic missiles, dozens and dozens of them at you, at least 4 dozen on each of you. But your shield spell holds, shimmering and cracking, but stopping the missiles.

Act. Chests are right by you but you're getting magic missile swarmed like nothing else.

In response to the Magic Missile attack, Surraruthru readies his second casting of Shield. It's been holding for now, long enough to get to the chests, so if it fails, a second casting should last long enough to get back out with the chests. Newly confident, he continues to the chests and grabs the first one, waiting for Ebony to go for hers.

Readying it to be cast if the original spell fails, the target will be the Tapestry, so it'll hit everyone.

Everyone gets in position for their chest and starts to pull - you think, anyway. Hard to tell with conditions being what they are, protected from harm or not.. More missiles come and your shields shatter - only for another shield spell to replace it and stop the next barrage.

Hurry, hurry, hurry! The party hurries out with the chests, out of the explosions, the fire and the gas. You emerge out blacked almost entirely, reeking horribly and mostly deaf, but you're out of the endless explosions intact. Kascha promptly falls onto her rear and goes, "Ow!"

Kascha sighs and taps one of her ioun stones, healing engulfing all of you.
