There's unlikely to be any written records from so very very long ago, at least not ones that are easily obtainable. But Afina intends to go to the source soon enough for herself and might find something there. "Understood, your Majesty," she bows once more. Bubbles went with a tight, belted robe. She's wearing light green with fur trimming, her robes stopping just above her knees. "I think we're ready to make a splash," Bubbles announces.

Having had her inner fashionista roused by Bubbles' presence she's dressed up as well, albeit with the intention of standing out amidst the frigid pallet of Ice, wearing a bold red overcoat trimmed with white fur, her snug leggings similarly hued in crimson along with her hat, which has a white bobble of fur on the end of each of its tails. The otherwise stark colouring offset with subtle silver tracings here and there evocative of snowflakes.

"Since we don't know where Absolute Zero is, I'm going to take us to one of Ice's larger settlements and we can start asking around from there," she explains as they head out of Aurora, assuming everyone is appropriately prepared, and casting a Gate spell to take them to such a place.

Assuming I can nail the planes check to know of a good sized town or city in Ice that'd have plenty of local knowledge and not be too unfriendly, taking 10 for 48.

Mirajane follows as you go out into the fields of Elysium. "I'm ready," she announces as you step through.

It's snowing. A steady sheet of snow falls, all around you great piles of snow. Mountainous, drifts hundreds of feet high. You stand on a cleared path. Your visibility is poor, but ahead you can see what looks like the shadows of a large town. It's called Refuge, a settlement of various creatures not native to the plane. It's still well below freezing there but to a degree creatures not of Ice can endure. It's notable for a portal to the Astral, so it sees a steady flow of travelers.

"The white helps soften the impact of red being taken for fire but it doesn't detract from the boldness," Afina says, nodding along. "Green's a good colour for you," she makes sure to return the appraisal, "Complementary without just blending into the environment."

Once everyone's through she closes the gate and starts to fly towards Refuge at a sedate pace. "I don't suppose you've heard anything of Absolute Zero yourself in your time, Bubbles?"

"She hasn't," Mirajane says, "By the way, swoop to the left, Afina."

"I-" Bubbles begins, then with a slight frown, "Oh yes, you're a seer. I heard about that. Please don't do that, it's terribly rude."

Afina obligingly swoops leftwards.

"Even if it's boring to wait on us to say what you know is coming, at least give us a chance to form the words," she agrees with Bubbles' criticism there.

[Anastasia]

A snowball comes flying, missing you by dint of your movement. A small ice para elemental rises, a figure of ice and snow. "You dodged." It says in flat, unemotional common.

'Sorry," Mirajane apologies.

[Ebiris]

"It would take a very special snowball to hit me," Afina replies with equal blandness to the para-elemental.

[Anastasia]

"Why exactly are you throwing snowballs?" Bubble says, a hand on her hip, "You do know it's terribly rude to do that, you'll ruin people's outfits."

"Commanded to. Spread Ice by hitting not Ice with snow." The elemental replies right back. "You of Air but not of Water, so not ice."

[Ebiris]

"I'm of Air and Water," Afina says virtuously. Also Fire and Earth but lets not quibble over details. "But if you threw snowballs at my companions the snow would only melt into water from touching their skin."

[Anastasia]

"You are also of Fire and Earth. That is not correct," The elemental replies. "You need more Air and Water."

"M...melt?" The elemental looks queasy somehow, "Bad word!"
