"That's a likely prospect," Afina says, veering downwards to investigate the ice cave.

[Anastasia]

"There we go," Mirajane agrees, the three heading on down. As you land and approach the cave, you can see there's carvings at the entrance of the cave, engraved onto the ground.

The runes are a mix of aura and aquan. It's a warning: Those who come with ill intentions shall freeze forevermore.

"A warning and a curse," Mirajane says, "Let's not anger those within."

"We're here to learn and understand, what could be more noble?" Afina says, having no real desire to get into any fights on her para-elemental pilgrimages. Unless she encounters a devil, then all bets are off.

[Anastasia]

"Helping the fashion around here," Bubbles comments, "Too many all concealing furs.  Some darling and a little leg would go a long way for everyone here."

[Ebiris]

"It's probably because most here aren't actual natives. In places with those that better embody cold you'll probably see more revealing attire since they won't need to bundle up against it," Afina muses as they descend. "Auril's realm was quite like that."

[Anastasia]

"Oh really?" Bubbles ask as you go in. It's a short walk ahead, a hollowed out space. There's a bed of straw and little else here, save for a passage heading further inward and down rather sharply, stairs carved out of the ice. Standing near there is a medium sized ice para elemental, glowing-blue gaze on you.

"What is your purpose, visitors?"

"We wish to learn of Ice," Afina answers, coming to a stop and landing before the para-elemental. "My name is Afina Devilsbane. I have heard of a place known as Absolute Zero, the nadir of Ice. We seek it so that I can better my understanding of the elements."

[Anastasia]

"You seek the sage," The elemental's voice is flat, emotionless. "He is below."

[Ebiris]

"Then we will pay him a visit," she nods, taking off once more and flying past the para-elemental towards the downwards passage.

[Anastasia]

Down you go. This ends in a claustrophobic cavern barely big enough for the three of you and the fourth. Here sits an old man - maybe human, maybe half elven? He looks completely humanoid, his face aged and weathered, no hair left. Yet below the neck he is in his prime, all muscles and sculpted body. He wears clothes of ice, which are transparent. His left leg below the knee is solid white ice instead of flesh, connecting to his knee perfectly.

As Bubble's eyes flit downward, the old man looks you in the eye. "Afina Devilsbane," he greets you in aquan, then switches t auran, "The elemental planes whisper your name."

Afina likewise has a brief moment where her eyes tilt downwards before she masters herself and meets his gaze. "They have had a profound effect on me," she agrees in Auran, switching to Aquan after. "But I have neglected the para-elemental planes until recently. It is a defect I am trying to remedy."

[Anastasia]

Mirajane does not, her eyes staying level the entire time.

"The motionless winds whisper of you," Auran this time as he goes on, "The still waters whisper of you." Aquan now.

The in plain Common, "All the planes whisper of Aurora and Medi's legacy. Will there be an answer now?" he asks, and goes on before you can reply, "What wisdom do you seek here?"

"Absolute Zero," Afina answers in aquan, switching next to auran. "It's less the physical place that I seek, more the understanding of what it takes to find." She returns to aquan once more. "The journey will enlighten more than the destination."
