Ice para-elementals are the most common, but you also see other creatures. Mortals, outsiders, aberrations, a minotaur, a man in heavy armor, a brown ooze and many more.

"It would be fitting if ice para-elementals could glide through ice like earth elementals with their element," Afina says, peering into the ice as they walk. "I wonder what stories all these frozen corpses would share if they could? And are we likely to join them?"

"Stories of failure," Mirajane murmurs, "These are the ones who failed here, I think."

Hanna rests her hand on the ice wall as best she can, slowing down. "Perhaps they can glide through it here."

"I can't imagine the suffering of failing so close to your goal," Jaela says, shaking her head.

"Like falling in the final invasion of Lifasa," Hanna murmurs, turning her gaze to Afina. "Careful with Gathgorian, 27 mentioned him again recently."
