"Maybe if we remove it from the surrounding ice and don't break it?" Mirajane says, consideringly. "We'd need to do something to stop it from melting, too."

[Corwin]

"I don't really want to steal from an elemental plane," Jaela responds, shaking her head. "And we've already got similar defenses at the Aurora gate. I just thought it looked elegant."

[Anastasia]

"Nothing solid," Mirajane admits, "I have a bad feeling about the other one, though."

[Corwin]

Jaela nods, going down the path that doesn't feel like certain doom for her daughter.

[Anastasia]

The party goes down the cleft. It winds along to a wide hallway. It goes about 80ft, with each 20ft having a gap where a large hunk of ice flies up every few seconds. It goes up into a hole in the ceiling, off and away, carried by powerful currents of air. As each one passes, cold winds intense enough to give even the four of you pause buffet you. Each hunk of ice is about the size of Hanna or a bit bigger and in a semi-random, jagged shape.

Around each gap are several small ice elementals and clouds of even tinier ones. Ice elementites, perhaps? Sometimes one of the small ones or several dozen of the tiny ones leap onto a hunk, merging into it as it goes up and away.

"Is this where you give up? Or you're actually meant to leap on one of the blocks?" Jaela muses, trying to see whether the hallway actually leads anywhere past this or is a dead end.

[Anastasia]

At the end of the hallway is an ice slide. It looks like one could go down it if they wish.

Casting Greater Heroism and Good Hope, Jaela decides to give dodging the ice blocks to reach the ice slide a shot!

Good Hope is on everyone, CL24

[Anastasia]

Tumble check, Jaela. There's a -5 circumstance penalty if you're walking or running on the icy floor.

Jaela zips through the air, dodging hunks of ice and making it safely to the other side. Mirajane claps at that, "Not bad, mother! Be careful if you come back right away, it was close!"

"Why would I come back?" Jaela asks, taking a moment to refresh her Divine Insight spell before peering down the slide with the aid of blindsight.

Afina makes it through with ridiculous ease, while Mirajane follows - the first ones are cleared, but the last? She miscalculates, a hunk of ice coming early and getting her right in the stomach.
