You rush forward, your magic coming apart. But it's too late.

The sword is engulfed in spellfire, burning bright blue. The battered blade bake and then breaks, shattering into scrap metal. "Ugh!" A cry of pain from ahead somewhere, a flash of white, heavenly light.

Surraruthru shakes his head to clear his vision of the bright light, searching for the source and looking for the scraps of the blade.

Kascha's at your side, while Sylvie flies to the blade. Ebony merely looks ahead, "Ahead," she points over a hill of books.

The blade is ruined, broken into a dozen pieces that are charred and burnt.

Surraruthru sighs at the loss of the sword, but doesn't lose hope. They'll just have to do this the hard way. With a good right hook and a lot of pent up anger.

"We might be able to do something with the shards if you want to collect them; but let's get this done either way."

With that, he takes to the air and heads over the books.

Kascha takes a moment to gather the shards and all of you hurry along.  You fly over the books and there is a figure there, kneeling. A shadowy, almost shapeless thing in the form of a man. Within it you see thousands and thousands of memories flowing, swirling. A dull white light surrounds him.

As you come over atop the hill, 50ft above and 60ft away from him, the figure stands. 'The sword is at last broken. Die.' It says impassively, coldly, like the lashes of a whip on your mind.

Chance to comment then we're probably going into init.

Surraruthru chuckles at this.

"For all your stolen knowledge, memories, and experience, you're still a fool, Secretus. The sword was powerful. It may have even been created to specifically counter you. But in the end, the sword was still a sword. It's power was meant to help its wielder. That's who truly has the power to beat you.

And, like I said. A dragon needs no blade. He has is claws, teeth, and own power. You will burn. You will break. You will die here. And it will be done to serve the glory of Seira and dragons. It will be done to give hope to all. And from it, we will take back the knowledge you have stolen. Your legacy will serve to do only one thing; make us STRONGER!"

"Silence, fiend!" Ebony steps forward, pausing to cough and spit out blood, "By all the laws of the heavens, you will be destroyed!"

As you speak, the books rise up. Images begin to form all around you as...
