"You might. He's fearsome in battle because he can draw on everything he's stolen." Sylvie says, "He has the spellcasting of Oghma only knows how many spellcasters, the fighting ability of countless warriors, every trick from here to the end of Creation. He's swollen with power on account of it."

[Iron Dragoon]

"He seems like he'd be an enemy of Oghma. Do you think he'd be willing to lend aid?"

[Anastasia]

Sylvie sits back and smiles, "I'm here, aren't I? I'm a spirit now and serve Oghma. That qualifies."

[Iron Dragoon]

Surraruthru nods. "I figured, but didn't want to presume. Can you think of any preparations we should make? Perhaps some kind of... divine record of ourselves so that he can't lock us out of our own abilities?"

[Anastasia]

"I don't know." Sylvie admits, "Not offhand. Mind blank's a given and that may or may not help, depending on how strong he is and if he can throw around dispels. Well no, there is one thing, but it would be a side trip. There's a type of crystal that can absorb much of your memories, copy them. They're used by Oghma's faithful to preserve the work of masters who don't have the time or ability to record them in writing. It's imprecise and horribly expensive, but it's an option."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Considering how limited our knowledge on him is, expensive or not, it seems a wise choice to take every precaution. I'd like to prevent another Lief and Muirfinn incident. Where would we need to go?"

[Anastasia]

"A central temple of Oghma or the House of Knowledge," Sylvie replies, "I haven't been there since I changed, but since I haven't been smote yet, that shouldn't be a problem."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Well, Kascha and Vivanthia are out getting information on their own. Would you care to go with me or suggest a temple to me?"

[Anastasia]

"House of Knowledge it is," Sylvie says, "No sense but to go to the source. Ever been before?" She gets up at that, "Are you familiar with Oghma's faith and doctrine at all?"

I don't have K:R, so a Knowledge check for general knowledge?

[Anastasia]

Do you have lore, bardic knowledge or anything like that? Those are applicable, otherwise just roll a straight Intelligence check.

Oghma's the deity of knowledge and related things. You don't know a lot, but you know those basics about him. He protects lore and the like.

Untrained knowledge checks are capped at DC 10 for results, no matter your total.

"That's enough to work with. The House of Knowledge is the domain of Oghma, as well as Gond, Deneir and Milil. It's like a spacious, uncluttered forest with clear blue pools, old oak trees and scattered buildings. It's peaceful and every scrap of knowledge in Creation is there. However, finding any bit is its own adventure. We can enter if we offer up knowledge to them. I'm working on an account of my transformation, so that should qualify. From there we can find priests who can sell us what we need." Sylvie explains.
