Too fast. The Master crosses his arms as he dodges about, blurring here and there as the efreet completely miss him. He merely cracks his knuckles after and adds, "Magic is no shortcut to skill.'

It really is, Jaela muses as she waits a moment for her besieged elemental to attack before letting it lapse. Still, she needs more time to train with using elementals to show the Master just how useful magic can be to bridge inconveniences such as distance or a good guard.

Reversing course, Jaela drops down upon the dwarf like an angry comet! Gae Dioltas seeks to undo all of her enemy's defenses, and Jaela angles herself in such a way that the dragon wouldn't have a good angle on hitting Mei and she at the same time. For her part, Jaela is confident in drawing his attention just fine and being able to handle it.

Jaela lunges forward in a blur of downward speed. Her spear punches through the sphere of force around him like it's not there, stabbing him right through the center of his chest. He gasps and coughs up blood, stumbling off your spear. His wounds begin to heal, and when it ends, he still has a respectably large hole in his chest gushing blood. The front and back of his armor run red as he gasps and paws at the wound, before falling face down onto the ground. The sphere fizzles out around him and he goes still.

Not even fortunate fate could save him from that much damage.

Dana continues advancing as meanwhile Mei startles and leaps back as you impale the dwarf. She turns to you and nods grimly, before whirling on the downed dragon and flying back towards it 30ft, then letting out an eldritch blast at the downed wyrm.

The Master slips into the ranks of the shocked efreet as he dodges the last of the flame blade, fists and feet striking out lightning fast. "Foolish. Even acolytes have the good sense to scatter."

Yes. Efreet are natural fliers, they're magical creatures who can do it as easily as we walk. No wings needed, they simply fly.

Battered, stunned and a bit beaten, the pyroclastic dragon slowly gets up. It looks around and growls, "BETRAYER!" It roars, before beginning to cast another powerful spell, all attention on Jaela.

As an aside, I'd appreciate distances of allies/enemies relative to me, directions of the same and rough estimates of speed they're moving. Since we're fighting at Long range and I do have spells for that, I want to be clear what I can hit and where I should avoid friendly fire.

Relative to you? Okay.

You charged into give that dwarf a bad day. Mei is 45ft from you, you're 85ft from the downed dragon. The Master's 500ft up and 130ft away from you. Dana's 375ft away from you and pursuing that chariot at the moment, more about that on her turn. You aren't precisely clear on where that flying ship is, as you can't see it yet. The chariot Dana's pursuing is 785ft away.


The dragon's spell crumbles before your counter, dissolving into hundreds of smoky wisps. The wyrm rears back as if struck, furiously roaring at you, overwhelming the battlefield with rage.

All but one of the efreet are stunned. That one goes.

The only efreet still up stares in fear, before turning and withdrawing, fleeing straight away.

Jaela beckons the dragon over with a teasing grin, swapping her weapon for Gae Trocaire and walking further away from Mei so that the silent girl wouldn't get caught in any attacks Jaela is sure to draw from the dragon. She gives the fleeing chariot a glance, before stomping the ground once and causing an earthquake to erupt well ahead of the hellhounds, seeking to catch them and the efreet in the attack while keeping the chasing Dana perfectly safe!

Switching to Gae Trocaire and using Gambit. Moving in such a way that a dragon's breath weapon/known area of effect spells couldn't catch Mei with them. Casting Earthquake ahead of the fleeing chariot so it covers the hellhounds, chariot and riders in it while sparing Dana. According to the spell I believe the hellhounds each make a DC15 reflex save to avoid falling down, and a 25% chance to fall into a fissure/Reflex DC20 to avoid. Not sure if the efreet save individually or the rider rolls for the chariot.
