Jaela: getting stuff done (Jaela)

[Anastasia]

"Hi, you're back!" Elena's dressed up like Moonlight today, down to a little fake moon floating over head - which is clearly her own interpretation rather than being accurate. "You're looking for 27? He's been napping on Ithea's bed all day. Want me to stir him since Ithea's not in right now?"

[Corwin]

"Sure. Mind tagging along in person? I want to talk to him about something and I want you there." She tilts her head. "You look pretty nice, by the way. How about making the moon huge, like half your body huge and floating behind you?"

[Anastasia]

"I did. Balyss yelled at me," Elena blushes, "She thought it was being sacrilegious and the moon isn't just some prop for a costume."

[Corwin]

"Come on! Show me? It's just us two!"

[Anastasia]

Elena looks around, "No sign of her," she exhales, "Between me and you, she's in a mooooood today. I think she's having the painters in and they're bad this month."

The moon appears behind her - several feet wide and tall, shining brightly before you.

[Corwin]

"Nice!" Jaela gives her a thumbs up, grinning. "So how are things? Where's your twin? Galariel still being Galariel? Is Morniel back? Are Kascha, Simmer, The Master, Moore, Ithea and Moonlight around? How about Mirima? Who was keeping on top of the whole cannibal demon thing? Any chance my brother showed up?"

[Anastasia]

"Woah, woah, woah, woah," Elena holds her hands up, "They've been busy, my other half's helping guide Finnegan and Cresiel through some training, they needed a third and it's something different to do. Morniel's back for now, but not for long. He's in his quarters, meditating. Kascha's out with Surraruthru to Niflheim, Simmer's in the lava baths, the Master's training, Moore's at Brightwater but is due back any minute, Ithea's still out and Moonlight's talking to Tryll about some sort of rescue mission with the Blood War."

After that and a breath, "Whew! Mirima's having lunch, right now I think Moore's looking into it and your brother's on plane but not here. He stopped in, found out you weren't here and went to take care of something in the meantime. He's not back yet."

[Corwin]

"Right! Thanks! Let me know when Morniel's about to head out after his meditations, and him know at that time that I'd like a moment? And connect me with Moore when he returns, I had an idea about that thing while I was freezing my butt off. For now, let's go have a little chat with 27?"

[Anastasia]

You catch up with 27 just outside of Ithea's room. He's sitting there, watching you approach without comment.

[Corwin]

"Hello, 27," Jaela greets the slaad. "The whole part where you creepily sneak into my Mom's room is weird but she probably doesn't mind the stalking that much despite her complaints so I haven't done anything about it. But telling her I was dead at a moment I was out of contact when you knew perfectly well it would be misunderstood crosses a line with me. I'm here to tell you that you're not allowed into her room anymore until and unless you apologize to her and she accepts the apology." Without so much as raising her voice, Jaela goes on to add, "I will consider you breaking this rule an escalation and respond in kind. Also, in case it's not clear, I don't want you in my quarters either."

With a glance at Elena, Jaela says, "I'm sure we won't need to go there, but if I wasn't clear just now and a misunderstanding occurs, please let me know about it."

She waits a moment, and then nods to herself before starting to head to her room to change. "I'm glad we had this talk."

[Anastasia]

27 huddles down as you talk, and adds after, "Didn't know," In a pouting, sad voice.

[Corwin]

Jaela doesn't stop, as she'd said what she came there to. 27 is intelligent enough to understand he was in the wrong, and was given a very simple way to make things right. Since her mother was the one wronged, it only makes sense she's the one he apologizes to if he cares about getting back into her good graces.

"Do you think he's like a child?" she asks Elena once she's in her room. Changing takes a flash of magic, but Jaela still takes the time to ensure her appearance is impeccable, given her intentions to leave Aurora soon on another trip. "Children need rules sometimes, and people who are stern with them instead of enabling them."

[Anastasia]

"He's a slaad. He's...different," Elena says thoughtfully, tapping her foot as she bows her head to think. "I think he's fairly shy if everything else is equal. Like how occasionally some mortals end up wrong and they don't speak or socialize right? Maybe something like that? I never really studied human behavior that much, but Sir Medi did." She sighs a little, smiling despite it. "He studied so many fields. He'd make specialized spells to deal with problems, just for the joy of creating new magic."

[Corwin]

"I made specialized spells to deal with problems, too," Jaela confides to Elena, cracking a grin. "They deal with them pretty permanently."

She looks at herself in the mirror from this angle and that. "I'm pretty sure I need some casual clothes. Who's good at making those in-house?"

[Anastasia]

"Bubbles, but she's really indisposed right now," Elena coughs, "She's good at it, so ask her a little later."
