Ebiris

So not that dissimilar from Magmasoul and Absolute Zero in concept, she's probably on the right track coming here after all. "Are there any guardians there?"

Anastasia

"Yes. Big Magma. Taught me sorcery." The elemental says.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Ebiris

Can't be so bad if he teaches sorcery to plucky elementals that come along. So why was Magma... er, the other Magma, the one that Devin was possessing, afraid of whatever's at the bottom? "If we were to go down and visit Big Magma how should we approach so as to avoid any conflict?"

Anastasia

Gold sits back now, "It's a question of worthiness or fulfilling some criteria? He doesn't receive every elemental kindly?"

Magma Sorcerer nods his head, an entirely human gesture. "Big Magma does what is needed, not what is wanted. He teach me, taught me. Some want improvement but get breakdown instead."

"What do you think makes you different from the ones that get breakdown, then?" Afina follows up her question.

Anastasia

With slowness and enunciating each syllable, "I am a sorcerer," The Magma Sorcerer says. "I am a sorcerer, so I am sufficient."

"Well that gives us an advantage, doesn't it?" Afina says blandly, finishing off her tea and putting the cup down on the table. "In recognition of your hospitality you may ask of me a boon," she invites, as is proper.

It wasn't so long ago she would have just spurned the beverage to save herself the trouble, but things change.

Anastasia

"Teach me a spell," The Magma Sorcerer asks. "Show me."

"That I can do," she says, considering it a fair trade. "What circle of magic have you achieved?"

Anastasia

"Fourth," The elemental answers, "Four circles."

"I could teach you the Orb of Fire spell if you don't already know it," Afina offers. "Or if you feel prepared to take a step further, we can try to expand your capabilities to the fifth circle with the Fiery Tentacles spell."

Anastasia

"Fiery tentacles. Teach me," The Magma Sorcerer says, eagerly.

"We'll need some extra room. Come outside with me?" Afina bids, heading out onto the platform with Arrel and then using her innate command over the earth to expand it out further giving more room to demonstrate magic with.

Using stone shape to make extra supports (24 cubic feet of stone) and then wall of stone coming out horizontally (24 5ft squares) to expand the platform out from the doorway.

"Here is the spell," she says, casting it first off and causing a swarm of glowing orange tentacles to erupt out of the newly created platform, writhing madly and crackling with embers. "It's a variant on the classic black tentacles spell, which is already achievable for you at the fourth circle. The basis comes from..." she begins, falling into a detailed lecture on spell composition as she does her best to teach this specific spell while also expanding on Magma Sorcerer's base knowledge to better prepare him for the higher levels of arcana.

I have tons of arcana/spellcraft skills but for actually conveying the information all I have is raw charisma.
