Surraruthru takes the weaving of arcane energies and focuses them towards the Red Dragon Heart, directing them towards the foci he had written into the ritual circle, connecting the parts of the weave to their counterparts in the circle and heart, then binding the resulting weave back into his own life force, completing the weave and holding the pattern into himself until the resulting energies begin to merge with his own change him, completing the ritual.

Primary was to become a True Dragon of the Arcane type. The secondary was to gain the much-improved spellcasting progression that Arcane/Tome Dragons have. Tertiary was to retain the abilities of the Faerie Dragon: SLAs and stuff like Water Breathing and Swim Speed type stuff.

Surraruthru tries to focus through the pain and pull a roar out of himself to match it. Wherever he is, whatever this other dragon is, he'll match it.

It emerges from the void, 100ft ahead. A massive red dragon, snarling and breathing fire. The wyrm's scales burn with flames and are cracked, a sea of fiery red over its body. It looms over you like a furious  mountain, roaring its challenge at you.

Without a doubt, you know in your heart this dragon wishes to destroy you. There is nothing but hostility coming from this wyrm. Your instincts rise, making your blood heat up.
