"Pick up the pace then!" Afina hurries along, magically changing the temperature above and below her in a wide radius in hopes of cooling and slowing the lava!

Control temperature with spell enhancer. CL 30 so can reduce the temperature by 6 bands (enough to go from Unearthly Heat to Moderate, though around the party it's more likely to push us from Warm to Unearthly Cold. That does 1d6 cold damage per minute for those not immune or resistant.

All of you dash ahead, through the battlefield as it begins to explode behind you. Afina's weather magic slows it, creating great groaning bursts of steam and gushes of rain, enough time to escape as flames immerse the fortress you left behind and the battlefield. You're rushing back, nearly across it - when the way ahead explodes into a gout of flame, blocking the way to those who aren't willing to get burned.

Afina's weather magic helps a ton and helps reduce any damage and DCs (if relevant) here, as well as helping you not get caught in the initial burst. It is facing a powerful epic level threat, though, so it's not enough to stop it by itself.
