The light of 21 follows, Sylvie utterly expressionless as the Duke of Destiny is blasted. He is knocked down at last, falling to the ground in a heap. His body burns and shudders, shaking all over. Slowly, bands of him begin to unravel, twisting as foul smoke on the winds. The chains around him snap one by one, crumbling away into iron dust.

The dying Duke tries to speak, but nothing comes out. Creation will be saved - but not by you. Rest knowing at least that.

A macabre grin of blood and teeth, as the rest of the Duke of Destiny fades away. Taelfagn shudders once as his shoulders and middle unravels, legs following. A gurgle, words lost as at last, the Duke of Destiny is gone. Silence reigns deep within Lifasa, a moment where even the looming death and darkness seems abated. Then the light of 21 fades away, leaving behind only the memory of the devil who caused the damnation of Lifasa.

It's finally done.

Adrian looks on, bowing his head for a moment in thought or perhaps prayer.

Sylvie looks on, distant.

Balyss steps forward, "Now it's time to finish this," she announces, her voice mingling with others. "Well done, Aurora - it's time to save Lifasa."

As much as Afina would have liked to get the killing blow, a stab from her blade would only have sent him back to Hell to reform. With 21? He's gone utterly and forever. Pleased with that outcome indeed, Afina turns to Balyss, "The sigils, we use them in your ritual now?" she asks.

Adrian turns his attention to Balyss.

"Put the sigils down. I will begin the ritual, and when the time is right, we must all put one on. Afina, Jaela, Moore, Surarruthru, Tryll, Calleigh, Adrian, Sylvie and myself. We will burn momentarily, but we must endure." Balyss says. "Assist me, please."

Afina helps in having the sigils put down in a circle so everyone can stand by the one they'll end up donning. She claims Willah's for her own, figuring it makes the most sense.

Elrisa, Willim, Annalise, Lief, Muirfinn... they'd lost a lot of people over the Crusade, some of whom they'll never see again. But at least now she can say that it had all been worth it.
