Gar Malleos II (Tryll, Surraruthru)

It's hard to even look at. The magic on them is so overwhelming that you can only detect the ley line's power, but it's fearsome indeed. It's channeling life energy directly into them, using Lifasa's own energy to protect them. So long as that exists, you can only wound Lifasa instead of them.

It may be possible to dispel the link, but it would be exceptionally difficult and require vast skill. Alternately, somehow distancing them from the source of power may help.

Is there a way I can use spellcraft or something to alter the spell? Make it so that the spell channels only one way? To keep the damage from them from going into Lifasa? They'd still be receiving the energy, but it could be the first step. Alternately, is there a way I could coordinate dispel attempts with Jaela to boost our chances?

Not really, it's a live spell that you can't effect in time stop. Out of it you're in the middle of combat, it's just too live a situation to even get creative like that.

If you two dispelled together I'd allow a bonus, sure.

'Agreed,' Jaela concurs with Surraruthru. 'And instead of attacks, try to get one of them farther away from the leyline. That might weaken the link, or drop it altogether. Summoned monsters should do the trick for that.'

Any spell modified with goldenfire gains a sacrifice component of 1 point of Constitution damage. A goldenfire spell uses up a spell slot 3 levels higher than the spells's actual level.
