'No need to be mean, Dana.' Tryll chides privately. 'She's a member of the team, now. That being said, Ysgard is probably the best place for it. Nearly all mistakes can be recovered from, here.'
What if they're not stars at all? What if the night sky is full of titanic far-off lidless eyes, staring in all directions across eternity?

Glancing between all of you, Miranda finally says, "I own a lodge here. It will suffice."

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Yuthirin

"YAY!" Calleigh cheers, "Let's go!"

It's perhaps an hour's flight here, past the peak and down the mountain. Here a recessed, huge cave lets in sunlight, a large lodge built of stone here.A few fields of dirt have been dug in and added to the mountainside cave near the front, one with several dozen apple trees. The other is simply grass, a golden-yellow dog napping in the sunshine there.

Miranda whistles low, the dog perking up and coming over, wagging his tail. "Champion, good dog," Miranda kneels and pats his head. "They're with me, learn their scents."

Champion sniffs all of you - even Tryll. Dana eyes him carefully as the dog then goes back to lying down.

It's a blink dog. An odd one no doubt - that coloration's a bit odd for them and it's a relatively small specimen for one, but it is a blink dog.

"Oh boy a blink dog!" Calleigh says, reaching over to give the dog a good scratch about the head. "You're pretty!"

"Woof!" Champion barks.

Miranda smiles, "Technically a spirit that passed onto the Beastlands, but that's a long story." Her expression softens at Calleigh and Champion's play, the dog perking up and watching her intently, panting lightly.

A gesture ahead. It's a sturdy lodge building, three stories tall and made of solid stone. Not a hint of give in it, with a well visible on the side a swell as a small barn. There's plenty of space beyond the house, but it quickly falls into shadows. The lodge house has regular windows of glass, the ones in the front letting in sunlight.

"The Day and Night Lodge," Miranda announces, "We'll break bread here and you'll tell me more of what you've gotten me into here."

'You know,' Tryll says idly, 'I'm really grateful for my incorporeality. Houses and such are never build for creatures my size.'

"What exactly are you?" Miranda looks in your general direction, "I know your name from the stories of the Aurora, but nothing else."

'Irrigo. There are five of us. Well, more now due to divine mandate and blasphemous soul grafting. It's a long story.' Tryll replies.

"It is. You will tell it to me momentarily," Miranda says, "If you have committed crimes against the Gods, I will smite you where you stand."

Dana grins at that, "See? She can learn! Fucking wreck his face if he's being a giant squid asshole."

Miranda doesn't justify that with an answer, heading inside with Champion following. Inside is a front room, a cosy and large taproom. Here on a bear skin rug - the entire place has  rustic feel to it - drowses a tiger with gold accents to his black stripes. "That's Victory, but he's harmless," Miranda says, "Have a seat, get comfortable, I'll be back in a minute. Stay here with them, Champion."

Tryll gives a squiddish shrug. 'You could try. Remember that we beat you, and I was very much not trying at all. The last time a solar tried to smite me, it didn't work and Calleigh made her feel bad.'

Miranda shortly returns with a tray of salted meats, putting them down before sitting. "I'm listening," Miranda says, "Tell me things."

Meanwhile Victory slowly rises, stretching before padding on over to Calleigh, feline eyes inspecting her.

Calleigh immediately grabs a piece of meat and lobs it at the tiger's face!

Tryll goes on as if nothing were happening, 'I have rough knowledge of events occurring over the last two million years. I have many things I could tell you. Specify.'
