Amaryl starts to speak, but a pause. You feel it, the bond between thet wo of you, growing stronger. It ripples throughout you and...!

Node update, go read and let me know you read it.

<Afina> Forever.

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Roger, read.

"Hmm? Yes, that sounds like a fine idea," Seira muses, nodding slowly. "Come to think of it, it sounds like Celestia is hosting someone with such obvious and overt outside interference. Weird that they've played so coy with Alicia about it when telling us that others were caught up in this little game as well."
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

"Stop a moment," Amaryl holds up a hand, "I felt that connection and I lost track of the conversation. Say what now?"

"Like I said before, I can sort of sense the innermost desires of those closest to me," Seira obliges her wife. "I could tell when there was a shift in yours, and while I'd pursue an avatar first it's not like they're mutually exclusive. Thus, saying it seemed like a good idea."

"No, the part about Celestia. Elaborate that?" Amaryl says, "A lot's gone on today, did I miss something?"

"Romiel invited me for a few, so I stepped out and met a Duke of Celestia he was hosting. They're going to be working closely with Lumenbur for the near future."

Anastasia

"Ooooh," Amaryl murmurs, "Anyway, we do have that...but let's celebrate today," she says, leaning in and...there are celebrations, indeed.

Next move?

Seira wants to know whether Valar can leave his post for a few hours, and where Kascha is on her tour (and whether she's at a good point to pop back in for a few hours as well). That can be ooc, the next IC action is helping Donald with magic.
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

They both can. To Donald then, unless that changes things?

Cool, go ahead and set up how you wanna do spell learning with him. I'll roll off of that.

Seira commandeers one of her laboratories for her planned spell research with Donald. Usually used to test out prototypes, it draws upon the holographic principles of the most unique piece of loot Seira had ever found during her adventuring days. Containing a massive repository of magical principles and recorded spells, the room even comes with an anthropomorphic index in the form of a helpful young woman; nowhere near at Medi's standards, but capable of emulating a person quite well even across sessions to give things a more engaging touch.

"Evie, let's start us off with Conjuration," Seira says as she sees Donald enter, and as the elf projection draws the symbols for the various subschools in mid-air, she reaches for the middlemost to tap it. Her finger is pushed back upon encountering the icon as the simulation provides tactile sensation, and she smiles upon selecting teleportation.

Anastasia

"Oh there you are," Donald strolls in, "Teleportation, huh? Looking to get away from the celebrations already?"

"A part of me is celebrating as we speak!" Seira brightly responds. "I just wanted your opinion on a spell I came up with before we started on your own set."

There is a library of relevant spells in a translucent list off to the right, and Seira selects Gate, Teleportation Circle and Legion's Gate from it. As miniature representations of them appear, she manipulates the interface to move the Teleportation Circle to the center and then beckons Gate over. "See, it's about time to improve upon my signature spell from our Balmuria days," she tells Donald, breaking Gate apart into its components with a flick of her fingers. "At the time, we were limited to the original design and keeping things simple was cheaper and more reliable, but now we can mix and match with impunity. For example, it is indisputable that Gate's entry/exit aspects are far more comfortable to use for the travelers, and the swift look at your destination eases the mind before the journey."

Seira plucks that part of the Gate spell, dumping the rest of it, and replaces that section of Teleportation Circle with her selection. "Won't you agree?"
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

"Well yeah," Donald says, "It makes perfect sense. Higher spell circles than 9th give us the flexibility to do that."
