"None," Abagail says, "I'm so busy, I hardly have time for a husband."

<Afina> Forever.

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Corwin

"You should find the time! Trust me, you'll be much happier!" Seira insists. "And it's in your best interests, at that, or your friends might decide to play matchmaker~"

Anastasia

A snort at that, "Who are you thinking of, Seira?"

"Oh, I'm not there just yet! But I think I could make a few introductions. A dashing prince, a wise king, a warlord without equal, a partner who understands the arcane enough to complete you?" Snickering, Seira says, "Even though I'm mostly surrounded by talented women my path still crosses a lot of competent men."

"Like shooting stars, soon forgotten?" Abagail banters back, "Really Seira, I'm fine as I am. I have more than I could hope to do as it is. Maybe I'll get a cat."

"It's okay so long as you don't summon one, I suppose? Since you're happy as you are, how about chatting about work a bit?" Seira proposes. "I'm curious to know where we are on mapping out the world. I'm seeking to introduce detailed maps of this Prime to libraries established throughout it, and use the knowledge for further development. Not directly, to avoid others taking an increased interest in things, but as more of a guiding hand."

"Alright," Abagail agrees, leading you to a table and seats. She waves her hand, a few scrolls flying to her hand. "Are you familiar with anything beyond the older boundaries of our knowledge? The jungles and Kesse to the west, the wastelands to the south and west, the ocean to the south past the Southern Confederation and the Lost Eastlands far past the Amaryl Ranges?"

"I presume there's something past the ocean, given Febras claimed to be from there. Of course, he lied all the time...." Seira purses her lips, drawing a map in the air above them with flames that burn without catching anything else on fire. "Balmuria," she points out, using it as the center of the map. "The United Baronies, including Valandia, the old Malmuth past it to the south, now split up into the core of the empire and several breakaway states in the format of the Baronies, the Barbarian Lands neighboring both to the east -- actually I own a lot of land there, so it might be time for development -- and with Pallanth beyond them. At the outer limits of that is the Amaryl mountain range, and past that lies Kascha, Marianne and Lyris's old homeland. I suppose we're calling it and the empire we made contact with further still the Lost Eastlands?"

She shrugs, not really having any issue with it so long as the actual maps reflect their own name for their lands to avoid a diplomatic incident. "Then, going in the other direction to the west we have the deserts, the Desert Fiefdoms being the undisputed power there amidst assorted nations, one of which being Kelara, and further on there are the Wastelands. Much farther lies a jungle, and then Kesse and its neighbors. Then we have the sea elf nation in the bay, and the aforementioned but unexplored by myself lands past the ocean." She blinks all of a sudden. "Wait, the ocean you mentioned to the south of the Confederation is a different one than the Bay leads out to and connects to ports in Pallanth? And the Southern Confederation is the current name for all that was Malmuth, sans Valandia?"

Anastasia

"One at a time," Abagail begins, "In which direction of the ocean?"

"Wait, wait. It's getting back to me." Seira frowns. "I never really got why they were different oceans despite flowing into one another, but that doesn't matter. The three are basically circling the land, don't they?" A burst of blue flames that still don't give off any heat surges out of the Bay of Sparkling Stars and rushes to the east to go all the way around the landmass, while another, smaller burst heads west until it crashes against the shores of Kesse.
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

"Oh, that? It's easy. Remember, no one really know what was past the eastern mountains until you ventured past," Abagail says, "Research and magic show that they connect around our continent - which seems to be a peninsula on a far larger continent incidentally - but that wasn't known at the time. It was assumed they were simply different oceans altogether. The Pasatic and the Maluth Oceans can be considered divided by the Shivering Ocean, which has radically different animals and growths in it."

"So it's grandfathered in?" Seira asks with a snort. "I suppose that's fine. Either reason, in fact. Before we get farther into the map, I wanted to ask if you've been up to date on the reclamation efforts in the Wastelands." Given that earth elementals are carrying out the task, and Abagail is a summoner as well as her apprentice, it should be right up her alley.
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

"Of course I am," Abagail says, "I was there not three months ago." Another wave of her wand and plate flies from...somewhere, along with a pair of wine glasses. The latter are filled to the brim with a dark red wine, sloshing but not spilling out, while the plate has cheese on it. One is tiny slices of a cheese with a bright red rind, a pale yellow-white color. The other is a creamier white with veins of dark blue throughout it. "Help yourself, since I think you want to hear my report."

"Thanks, I believe I shall," Seira responds, offering a glass of wine to Oraga while trying the red cheese curiously.

Anastasia

Oraga takes it and drinks deep - the red cheese is sharp but not too sharp, as well as pleasantly salty.

Think a sharp cheddar.
