A blink of the eye and they're both gone, as if they were never here. Only Ebrek's gear remains, a pile on the ball room floor. Did you do it? You won!

"All that bravado." Moore spits. "All that bravado and you just run away, not even facing us to the last. Your Sultan must be so proud!" Moore shouts at no one in particular.

Take 10 for 74 on Spellcraft on all of Ebrek's gear, I'm guessing it's horribly evil and awful but hopefully touching it isn't going to kill me.

You do so. At the same time Cresiel shakes his head, "Cowards. Skittering back when they're beaten," he intones.

"Do you think they'll try again or fully retreat?" Jetina asks. "They're down a member now, possibly two. What happened to that vile woman?" A grimace at that, "Horrible, horrible woman."

[Nephrite]

"She ran away when I sealed her ability to use magic." Moore says. "Let's see what else this place has."

All the stuff goes in his pack for now. Let's explore this floor.

This floor is mostly luxury - pleasant things, appearances and functions. A ball room, several rooms of art and pleasurable things, a stone 'garden' of sorts, a viewing room to a breathtaking view of a chasm outside. There's various treasures to be found here, but mostly of the artistic variety, if you wish to take the time to loot them - and it will take time.

There's a few sets of stairs going up.

"We'll come back for this if we have time. I imagine they're planning on how to deal with us, but they have to deal with the teleport beacon, just like us, so I'm not too concerned." Moore says.

Anything small that can be grabbed fast will go in his bag but if it takes time he'll just move on and up for now.

[Anastasia]

You grab a few small things here and there as all of you hurry along.

"Yeah, I'm worried about a round two," Jetina says, "More practically, this implies that we're going to have difficulties in the future with them, they're responding strongly and not frittering away elite warriors."

"Too bad," Kaja drawls, "Still, Ebrek is progress. He'll reform, but without his treasures."

"Then we'll defeat them again," Cresiel declares, keeping his gaze roaming, moving all the while. "Again, again and again. We shall be as indefatigable as the oceans and as enduring as the mountains."

"Jetina has a point, one which I'm going to rectify when we return to Celestia." Moore says as he goes along. "We've been getting by with the equipment and abilities we have, but it's clear that our operations, or at least my connection with Aurora, have put a target on us -- one which clearly has divine backing. We have to do the same to be further prepared for things like this."

[Anastasia]

"We need to be better," Jetina says, "I'll be better - this means something. If we can defeat foes like this, then there's hope for so many more. I-"
