It begins with a prayer.

You practice against Syala, greathammer against two-bladed sword, spell against spell, nature against arcane. The courtyard deep in Liberton is private, only the sun above seeing your sparring beyond those that are already here. Antenora and Marie sit next to each other, watching you practice against Syala. Jessica is here along with Emmaline, the two of them having a quiet conversation about day to day life as they watch you.

The arcane blaze around Bonds pushes against Syala's mighty oak tree, threatening to send you flying like a missile. Reality twists around you, wood becoming air, air becoming wood as Syala fights back. Her focus is intent on you, sweat on her face as she calls, "Got you now!" Yet you know if you push a little further you can prove her wrong.

Amid this your faithful are fruitful. Your name is invoked in justice and in matrimony, in evils vanquished and new lives began. A prayer for benediction to the faithful is just before a wandering cleric prepares his spells for the day, his requests for primarily healing magic matching his intent to mend a village savaged by raiders. The soft and final prayer of a dying warrior echos in your mind, a final murmuring by a paladin who gave his life to protect others.

You feel Syala's faithful as you press on towards her. Her prayers - glimpses of prayers for life and livelihood, for families and a bountiful harvest. The fervent calls of when man and woman unite as one thrust in amid those more staid prayers, along with gentler benedictions for new born life, for healing, for protecting hearth and home. All prayers you are familiar with but far less than Syala, her own interests and portfolio focusing on those matters more.

You feel rather than hear the whisperings around Antenora, a soft bubble of them like a rustle around her body. They are hesitant and yet fully formed, bobbing around her like jetsam in the sea.

Yet amid all this one prayer stands out. A screaming prayer from a familiar voice, one not heard in some time. "Alicia, HELP!" Taldeer's desperate prayer ripples through your mind, a flash of Taldeer's pain along with it.

"Hold!" Alicia shouts to Syala as she immediately aborts her attack and casts time stop, freezing reality in comparison to her sudden swiftness as she takes the time to take in Taldeer's current situation and formulate her response.

Reality freezes as planned, your speed hypersonic for the moment.

Taldeer is blurry, lost in shadows. An impression. Coolwater Oasis. The Desert Fiefdoms. Darkness, a sense of being underground, within HER power. Twelve shadows come forth, looming over your friend.

Is the area Taldeer's in dimensionally interdicted? If so how far out does it extend?

"Taldeer's in trouble Marie. I'll need you for this," Alicia says as she takes in the situation, Marie nodding and starting her buff routine.

"There's twelve shadows menacing Taldeer undergound, powerful ones," Alicia warns Marie. "And possibly more, Shar is acting directly to occlude me."

"Well, don't be afraid to send your avatar if I get in trouble!" Marie asks as she hustles through the gate.

Move action for that, she'll use her standard once on the prime.

Round 4 of time stop

Transforming into a kaleidoscopic but also invisible globe of light, Marie's ring of plane shift, amulet of natural armour, and mundane clothes fall to the sand below and she descends into the desert, guided by Alicia to move directly towards the chamber Taldeer is in under the surface and banking on the Sharrans wanting to ensure free movement for their shadows as a reason for there to be no walls of force or the like that might get in her way.
