On consecrating the room, the altar repairs. Atop it is a glowing, metallic holy symbol of Mystra. It fills the room with radiance, the sacs burning away in blue spellfire.

Marie exhales as she loosens the tension in her poise as she'd been preparing to unleash her own magical fury. "Feeling a bit superfluous, huh?" she commiserates with Ebony.

"I may have overestimated the trouble this would be," Alicia admits, leading the way up the sun-bleached stairs.

"Not at all. I am honored to be here," Ebony pulls her hood back down, "Perhaps you have grown inured to that, being her familiar for so long."

"Familiarity breeds contempt, hmm?" Alicia hums, the edge of a chuckle on her breath.

"I don't hold you in contempt, Alicia!" Marie's quick to insist, bunching up her fists at her side as she hurries along after the raven-haired goddess.
