Stepping out from a tent is a looming hezrou, about 110ft away. He's chanting a spell of greater heroism.

A hezrou archmage... hey didn't she hear a story about something like that once? Though the hezrou in that story actually reformed himself because he was educated enough to see the futility of evil.

Anyway as fun as it would be to give him a scare, Marie lets the demon do his routine uninterrupted unless he does anything that potentially threatens her directly. No point blowing the surprise for when she starts her own thing.

He girds himself  in an array of enhancement and self powering spells, you note. The sort of spells you know well, the armaments a prepared warrior-wizard has at the ready and...

Going to let the time stop end or take action?

No action, she'll watch what he does after the time stop ends.

The hezrou growls low as it ends, before charging back into the tend. A moment later the sounds of the camp resume, as well as screaming within the tent. "Where did-?!"

Why did he leave the tent just to buff up while he was time stopped anyway? Either way, she and Jessica need to position for their own chaos to cause!

Still, her sharp ears pay attention primarily to what goes on in that particular tent, because it's interesting and the hezrou might be a dangerous enough threat to care about when this all goes down.
